i was 13 at the time of Linsanity and i was just starting to fall in love with basketball. At the time i was the one of the tallest kids in Elementary school and i stood around 5’8 while everyone else was like 5’5, this was around the time of Yao Ming so i looked up to him but deep down i knew i was never gonna be 7’6. Jeremy Lin showed all of us asian kids that we didn’t have to have any of these god given gifts to make it, we just had to have a drive, work ethic, and commitment like none other. Fast Forward a handful of years into high school and there i was the starting PF for my senior seasons, i took things from both Yao & Jeremy and turned it into my asian frankenstein style game. Lin did a lot for me as a kid, he pushed boundaries and showed us that impossible is nothing.
I think Knicks fan and Secret Base Writer Seth Rosenthal puts the start of linsanity “Mike D’Antoni was getting pissed at not having a real point guard and threw Lin out there for extra minutes and he capitalized”

And then when Lin left New York, they would have another 7-year drought afterwards & it took all that time until 2020 when they had playoffs again, even if they only had 1 more year with a playoff in 2012-2013 season after Lin left. Lin was the factor there for giving them 0.500 for a playoff run, as well as with the Hornets where Lin did exactly the same thing giving the Hornets a playoff run for 2015-2016 season, after a near-decade of no playoffs. Then when Lin left the Hornets, they have since had no playoffs for 7 years straight, even to this day.

he is actually pretty good, it wasn't good that he went to houston. pat bev was a better fit in their that's why he got oust in the starting line up. his down side is he ain't that good in lock down defense but he is a pretty good guy in offense. and his defense is more of poking through passing lanes. with the league being heavy on PG production and aggressive pg course he won't last. but if he stayed in nicks him and melo playing d'antoni style would be great... I don't think they go far on the playoffs but they'll be good season team. if he became 6th man for other teams that would have been his thing but he is given roles as catch and shoot instead.
