Patrick Wilson really nailed his performance. All of his mannerisms are so eerie when he’s possessed. Even the way he was just standing in that doorway freaked me out.
I got such strong Michael Myers vibes during that scene at the doorway. He really nailed the physical acting and looked so scary even without the makeup!

Patrick Wilson really nailed the possessed creep vile after l was impressed with all of them but in this one he really did the dual role so well
I knew Patrick could play a creep well when he acted in Hard Candy along side Ellen Page
"Please state your name, age, gender, and desire to kill!" 😂 I personally didn't care for the Norman Bates / Mommie Dearest drag aspect, but it's still a creative follow-up to Insidi-uno, that throws a bunch of ideas into the mix. And while I still prefer the simplicity of the first one, the franchise as a whole cements Lin Shaye's status as a horror icon. Just so captivating whenever she's onscreen. Even tho these movies wrack you, I really enjoy your commentary as always, and patiently await for you to watch more.
This sequel had no right to be that good 👏🏽

Something a lot of younger (than me) people don't realize is that Barbara Hershey was in a movie called The Entity back in the 70/80's era about a woman being assaulted and brutalized by an unseen force. It was based on a true story. The woman and her children eventually moved away from their home, only to find that it followed them and now she plays the grandmother in this series. It's like a tribute to that story in a way. Also, it's a pretty good horror flick. You would have to edit some scenes that are... sexual in nature (and involve the R word), but you would be the first person I have seen do a reaction to it.

My mom saw that movie and it stayed with her ever since and also killed her interest in horror genre as a whole lol
I have been hoping and praying for Alanda to watch that movie. The sounds! Womp-Womp-Womp gave me nightmares for weeks as a child.

I’ve not been able to find this movie & then always forget to try ahain but this movie TRAUMATISED my auntie, she told me about it when I was a kid and I’ve been dying to see it ever since she’s sworn blind she’d never ever rewatch. I don’t know if she has coz we’ve not spoken to her for 16 years but still ! I need to have another look for the movie !
I laughed every time you called the old woman, Miss Havisham! Best reaction ever. The next two movies weren’t that good, but excited to see Chapter 5 which revisits the Lambert family 10 years later.

I saw it at a free screening before release and it had a slightly different ending. You legit see “shadow people” behind the girl at the end with Elise.
Girl you were killing me in this one 🤣🤣 has got to be one of this most intense and liveliest reactions I can remember, so chaotic. The Insidious movies have got to be my favorite! I mean there’s so many great horror but Insidious always stuck with me, I love it so much and watch it over and over. The first two are my fav, but all of them are great and worth watching. So excited for the new, and good luck with the rest love!

because I've always liked her. BTW, I've rented all four of these on dvd and even though 3 & 4
are different they are still very good.
This. 3 and 4 are very different in terms of story and scope, but Elise is still out there kicking ghost ass.
4 was absolutely terrible. 3 was good.

This is my favorite of the franchise. It went above and beyond what a sequel is required to do and I will love it forever for that. That being said, I have never felt so conflicted on wanting to stop watching because I was so scared and not wanting it to end because there was so many interesting developments.

The third one is about a new family and a new case and the forth one gives you more insight into Elise and the life she lived growing up and such. not much a fan of the third one though it's not thata bad and the forth one I did enjoy. The fith one that is coming out soon is going to be about the Lambert family again 10 years after the first one took place and where they are now. The trailer looks creepy so I am looking forward to that one. Glad you enjoyed these two cause they are my favorite of them all really.

Girl, just wait until you get to the Conjuring… It’s like Insidious but cranked up to 50. James Wan is a mad genius.
I like Insidious waaaaay more than Conjuring. Insidious has some clever, unique twists to it (at least the first two movies). The conjuring movies just feel like very generic (though still well made) jump scare-laden ghost movies that I’ve seen done a million times before. Ghosts don’t really scare me much, so maybe that’s why I feel that way?

Yesterday I rewatched this early 2000s horror movie called Joy Ride on Hulu. I hadn’t seen it since middle school and I don’t remember it being THAT GOOD. I recommend it if you haven’t seen it.

In my opinion, the first two Insidious movies are some of the best ghost and possession horror has to offer. As for the following movies, I can't quite remember how I felt about them. I remember watching the third but don't remember anything other than that it was a prequel following Lin Shaye's character with a different family. I think that I thought it wasn't as good as the other two but that may just be because the first two were too good. I think I watched the beginning of the 4th one but I think I stopped watching for whatever reason, but I know it still followed Lin Shaye so idk why I did. I think the Lambert Family Duology was so good, I thought the sequels weren't worth watching without them. I'm extremely excited for the 5th one coming out this Friday (My B-day 🎉) because it returns to them years after the Parker and Dalton incidents.
I find it so funny how the Ghost was just gaslighting the wife and the mom every time they see a Spirit pr gets hurt by one😂😂😂😂

When I was little my great grandma (who had dementia) grabbed my neck from behind the way that old man grabbed young Josh. I was so scared I ran out of her nursing home and hide behind my grandma’s car. She was looking for me for over an hour! I can still feel her grip 😰
I'm not gone lie, I remember watching the first one in theaters when it first came out and hating it, you've somehow given me a renewed interest in these films and for that I thank you

An interesting fact about INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 2 (2013) Insidious: Chapter 2 was partly filmed at a supposedly Haunted Hospital named Linda Vista Hospital it was an abandoned hospital that was closed in 1991 and is rumored to be haunted. It has been featured in over thirty movies--mainly horror films--many TV series and also music videos.
