I just *LOVE* him! Simple as! I say that about *NO* other artist! He just captivates me and speaks to my soul like no other. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I am a musician and more fittingly, an avid reader and writer. Something I share with Morrissey is the fact that I greatly admire the works of one of his main influences, another countryman of ours, Oscar Wilde, the tortured genius playright of last century.
@Nothing the sad thing is this song was written as self-humour. nowadays anyone makes a joke or says anything about him, he has a whine. look at the Simpsons episode with Quilloughby in it, he slated that. seems he can't even laugh at himself anymore when he could at 27 years old, it's tragic
I love this performance. Look at this one and one of the live performances of the Smiths doing this - the energy is much greater now. I see that Morrissey has also learned not to try to dance during his shows, although that could be age. He is more handsome as a 40 and 50 something than he was at 26.
Watched Morrissey perform in Perth during this tour. Incredible! I agree with some other comments, his voice strength is exemplary here , saving the dancing energy for his voice instead .
I was a steward at this gig and working that night turned me into a Morrissey fan for life. Highly talented artist.
I like how he changed "walkman" to "ipod".
***** Hey thanks. I never knew about that album. I'm gonna go hear it.
***** Most of the album was pretty abysmal actually. Just my opinion. Thanks though..
Placebo changed tô discman heuekeheie
theres also ''breast plate'' in one version
@@parazite4426 So you could say.. The HEUEKEHEIE STRIKES AGAIN.. But lm not sure that's the current prenousion .
oh my god this is so incredibly nostalgic, ive been looking for this for so many years, thank you random store that was playing this song
I was pleasantly surprised when I recently heard ‘Ask’ by the Smiths playing in the Dillards Clearance Center in Pine Bluff, Arkansas
I can’t choose between this performance or the johnny marr performance…They are so different
i wasn't joking :D
Yep :D Mozzer saved my soul..
I caught that as well.

It sounds like you and Morrissey might have a good conversation over tea given the chance.

Great version, tad faster than orig, but it brings out the massive energy of Morrissey.

Wouldn't the hearing aid, located close to the ipod' s headset, cause a very annoying microphone resonance?
Leyendas vivas ya quedan muy pocos ss
Love you MOZZ

This live version is off the Hook! So Good
Can't do this song without Morrisey. Apologies to Johnny Marr.

Fantastic.
Still amazing alive!
Bom de mais
How can anyone compare Marr's solo acts to this, and the video is not even in good quality. Imagine witnessing this wonder live... oh dreams.
Xavier Mourato Nabo totally agree. Marr can sing, but he’s no vocal artist.
donde puedo conseguir ese dvd ????
With no effects on his vocals either, Cher.
Still sounds sadistic as hell 😂.
Not exactly on topic, but the Smiths are better than U2.
What the fuck?
❤️
It's only half a song without Johnny Marr. That's the truth of it.
Tbh not really, the guitar work can be replaced. The unique voice cant

Every single member of that band is suspiciously hot!!!
Que guitarra mal aproveitada, saudades do Jhonny Marr, que era o guiitarrista dos Smiths, e dono dessa linda melodia e letra de Morrissey.
