Almost a Smiths reunion! Morrissey was still at the peak of inspiration right after the breakup of the Smiths and this is one of my all time fave Moz tunes. Morrissey is energized by a great backing band. I love the synthesizer swoops and swirls. It picks up where the experimental nature of Strangeways left off.

I'm so damn tired of all you people who never listened to any music from today beyond the Top 40 and then go in comment sections and complain "there isn't any more good and meaningful music these days", good music still exists if you know were to look for it. May I remind you the Smiths weren't exactly mainstream back in their day either. They had a certain pretty sizeable following and a couple of hits that made it high in the charts in the 80s, as well as a lot of charting albums, but overall beyond those couple of big hits, and the shows of one or two DJs that were somewhat more supportive of them, it was relatively rare to hear the Smiths on mainstream radio back in the day. They became more widely accepted and celebrated by the mainstream after they broke up than before. The likes of you people who never listen to any current music beyond what's on heavy rotation on mainstream radio would have probably not heard of the Smiths back then either. It's not that there's no more good music it's just that you are ignorant, and you proudly flaunt your ignorance.

A, the kid is the best dancer I've ever seen.. so goofy but so cool. B, one of SPM's greatest songs ever. C, a light fun song until you really listen to the lyrics and understand it. Then it becomes quite dark. 19 year old commits murder to impress convicted gangsters, throws life away. only Morrissey could turn that plot into a Brit alt pop song for the ages.

TheVampireGirl48 You're talking about the ledgendary Vince Clarke? Who was around for a blip (just the 1st DM album) in their career, then they were churning out an album a year throughout the 1980's. With respect I don't think you can know a great deal about the subject matter. No offence intended though, especially if you weren't born early enough to appreciate the atmosphere of those times.

Tony Mayne Well, I am born in mid 90's but still, I think Vince's songs aren't as good as Martin's. They may have been more successful because they were pop at the time, but honestly, they aren't legendary like Martin's are. Sorry, but that's what I think.

And in my cell (well, I loved you)

    Oh, don't say you don't
Please say you do, (oh, oh)
    I am
    The last of the famous
    International playboys
    The last of the famous
    International playboys
In our lifetime those who kill
The news world hands them stardom
    And these are the ways
    On which I was raised
    These are the ways
On which I was, which I was raised
    I never wanted to kill
    I am not naturally evil
    Such things I do
    Just to make myself
    More attractive to you
    Have I failed?
    Oh
Oooh, oooh, yeaah, nooo, nooo (pa ramp-amp-amp)
Nooo, nooo, yeaah, yeaah, nooo (pa ramp-amp-amp)
Nooo, nooo, yeaah, nooo, yeaah (pa ramp-amp-amp)
