I was able to grow my daughters hair to waist length. My goal was for to reach thigh length and then let her do whatever she wants to her hair. We came upon a set back and it went right below bra strap length. I was aggressive with the treatments and oiling of her scalp which should have yielded results but not much came from it. I now realize that I stopped doing mini braids and did mini twists instead. I’m going back to the braids because I’m now certain that was what was stunting her growth. There are too many single strand knots with mini twists
Im changing to mini braids! My sis n I started our natural hair journey same time and she’s been on mini braids while Ive been on mini twists… d hair length is uncomparable😫 it’s like my hair has been stuck in time… very little growth and she put lesser products lesser stress into her hair. She can carry her braids for months while I redo my style every 2-3 weeks.
Congrats 🎉👏🏽 I've been on my challenge since November of 2021.... May 2022 will be my six months!!!! So far...so good. I see lots of retention and about 1 1/2 inch growth in back of hair only. I'm shoulder length now

Mini braids definitely helps your hair grow but it takes a long time to take it out. hahaha, will try this challenge
