Are you guys moving to a new country?
So if Eric is 6ft 7, is kyde like 5 ft 7? Also, congrats on the future move. Thanks for sharing!
Did you buy a house like you were talking about on twitch?
@@pwitts Probably! -E
are you considering buying an apartment in japan or rent ?
Basically watched you guys sell everything to travel around the world and get married and now being home owners. I’ve literally watched such a huge important chunk of your lives. I’m oddly proud of you guys.
It's amazing to us people have been with us for so long and know so much about our adventure. -E
Home owners?? Hummmmmmm looking forward to seeing more!
Oh no, spoilers!
I've been watching your apartment tours for, like, a really long time now.
lol yes.
4:45 one of the AirBnbs I stayed at in Tokyo was like this but the genkan was even smaller and we had 5 people! We basically had to take turns entering. Each person would go in and take their shoes off one at a time.
So I don't ever usually comment on yt videos, but I'm making the leap because I've always wanted to thank you for all the good content you've given us!
I've been watching you for years (since Saitama) and in essence you two have such a unique perspective... so much different than anything I'm used to, it is always so fascinating to watch your adventures.
One thing I'm thankful for is that you decided to stay in Japan. I know it's a little weird to wish something like that on someone you don't know. But all your Japan content is entirely refreshing and has always been my favorite (especially the food stuff!).
I think I caught some pics from your insta with you both looking at some building construction... not sure if that had anything to do with the new place, but I'm super excited to see where you move next.
Oh hey, thanks for the kind words. We are excited to keep exploring Japan too, glad folks are into it. -E
I've watched more than a few of the lives and can take a guess as to what sort of structure you're gonna move into, but I honestly really like the apartment. Of course I'm pretty much eternally single so it'd be perfect for me, but I can definitely see how it's not the best for both of you working from home. Thanks, I always love your apartment videos!
I might have complained about that here before, but we've been living in 43 sqm (465 sq ft) for 25 years (and we'll be moving into a house soon, too)! The saving grace of our flat are 3 metre high ceilings plus the fact that my husband is gone for most of the day ...
oh nice, congrats on the new digs! -E
Always love Eric's band shirts.
Levels of measurement: nominal, ordinal, interval, ratio and the most important NARDS & NIPS! Congrats on the new digs!
I would be interested in a video of the moving process, especially as you have so much stuff to transport. I've already learned so much about living in Japan from you two.
We aren't sure how we will move this time, historically we just rent a van and move things on our own, which isn't the way japanese people usually move. If you search japanese moving on Rachel & Jun's channel they have a pretty good video showing how the usual process is, but it's not cheap.
I used to drive a minivan on my work passing through Kumagaya over three years ago to go to Fukaya, Honjo and Chichibu. Recently, I sometimes drive a truck on the 27:32 expressway and the local road under it crossing Azumabashi or Kototoibashi to visit some customers in Asakusa, Nihonbashi, Ginza and Shibaura area. I am looking forward to your new adventures based on your new place.
Maybe in the future you will have to drive near our new place, haha! -E
The trash room thing was a real surprise... here you can dump your crap whenever you want
Great update, thank you. And I love those toilets with the sink on the back, saves on water usage. I miss Japan.
.... and always smiling,... love the little Asahi mountain goat !
welcome to sheep club
My apartment is 300 sqft...we are moving into a one bedroom in a couple of months...600 sqft. I totally understand what you mean about needing more space but we have it set up in such a way that we both have space. I work from home and hubby works out of the house.
The view is one thing, but you guys were well situated: you cross the bridge and there is a subway station to your left and a train station to your right! I also guess that there must be supermarkets within walkable distance.
I like how the garbage/recycling room is so organized. Also I never saw a toilet sink combo like that. I would guess the purpose of it is to save water since you can wash your hands with the water that will then fill up the toilet.
Yea, its supposed to save water but its not the best way to actually clean your hands in practice. -E
Really excited to see where you all are going! I remember when you all moved into the apartment your in now. I can totally understand the negatives to it. Sometimes you just need more space to live in
I've been stuck working from home long pre-Covid. I totally get it. And I live alone. I can't imagine being with someone else. I don't care how much you love each other/get along, no one needs to be in each other's face THAT much.
I hope your new place is better for Eric's posture! You do not want to develop neck/back issues. Trust me on that.
may you get lots of room!
On the bright side, it doesn't take that long to clean up this apartment and because of its size, you're forced to limit the amount of things you can put in it. Thus, making it easier when it's time to move out.
I would like that last shot of Kyde running around the "prison" as an animated wallpaper plz ;)
haha
Just realized I’ve been watching this channel for 10 years now. Wow. Man I miss 2011 now that I’m thinking about it
wow neat! Glad you are still enjoying after all these years. -E
Oh my God, loved the bathroom part with the drain hahahaah Eric was so serious, the joke really got me!
Aside from that, I love to watch Japan apartment tours and the shape of your apartment is really really weird hahah. Happy for you that you are moving to a bigger place, congratulations!!
Looking forward to what's next in your story!
I only found you during lockdown, and I'm here to stay =)
Glad you found us and are enjoying! -E
It's hard to believe it has already been 3 years since you moved into your apt next to the golden poo. I still remember your first trip to Japan when you had it in the background--a bit of foreshadowing. I hope the military jets won't be a problem for you in the new house!
We live in Canada and our counter-tops are at 36 inches from the ground and we find them too low. I can't imagine your pain since I'm a full 8 inches shorter than you!
@7:52 Gandalf entering the bathroom. Hope you'll enjoy your new place!
I know what you bought!!!!! People who don’t know need to be watching your other channels ☺️!! Congrats guys!
Hi guys. I have been very unwell (not covid) for quite some time. I've been watching your videos whilst recuperating. Got me through some tough times. Good luck with your move.
Glad to keep you company during a hard time, hope you feel well soon. -E
I will never complain about the size of my apartment again after seeing what you have put up with
we lived in an apartment vastly smaller than this one for a year haha.
Lol! The table in the lobby that Kyde had the audacity to sit at! Congratulations; we are excited to see your new adventures in Japanese housing!
how lucky to have lived around the Asakusa area.
Oh, absolutely.
I was waiting for you to mention my one pet peeve with Japanese bathrooms.
There is no space around the sink to put anything.
I wear contacts and usually have to put the container on the toilet in hotel bathrooms.
Excited to hear more about your new place.
Wow, it's already been three years in that apartment?! I've been watching you so long I still think of it as the 'new' place. Having caught the IG Lives, I'm aware and super excited for this next adventure you're on!
lol i was super confused by the title of the video, but it was interesting, there are a lot of little things that are not really somenthing you would think about when you buy/rent a place, but after living in a place for some time you realize them
Already has been 3 years huh... damn. Looking forward to the new place!
Cool beans, Congrats you two ! be well...
Congrats!
Really hope you pop the camera on for a long time to do a sunrise to sunset timelapse of that view! One last tiiiime
Sad to see the golden poo view go away but excited for your new place when that happens. Great insight into what was good and bad about the place.
Congrats on the move. :)
You know, in the videos showing you guys living in this apartment, to me it appeared much larger than it really was. Fisheye lens effect. This is like the "ha ha we fooled ya" reveal. Anyway, congrats on your new home and I really hope the floors are tatami . I just see tatami and they look like my feet would love the feel, and comfort they seem to ooze. Also, I've seen videos where people are surprise that the tatami have an aroma that is is very sweet. However, you do have to cough up the dough for that, I believe. Looking forward to your new place. Bye for now.
Haha we looked for a place specifically without tatami. I agree it's lovely when it's nice, but it's more trouble to take care of and worry about damaging than we are interested in dealing with while living in a place. -E
"Not a prison!" 🤣 Congrats on the move, guys! You're very inspirational.
Congratulations, l look forward to seeing your future plans 😁👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Kyde and Eric, looking forward to seeing the new digs
Congrats on your new home!!!!
That hallway looks even more lugubrious than the one in Dark Water (the Japanese version) where the ghostly little girl lives.
My pantry(formerly a boot/forgotten rubbish/unused hoover attachments cupboard)is so small when i slipped and sat down on the floor I was effectually wedged in position its so small. I had to twist sideways and sort of hump my way past the cat on my bottom until I was in a clear area then stand up. I know what its like not to have space!
Always liked your apartment tours. Can't wait for the next !
I only recently discovered your channel and I'm kind of hooked. You are a cute couple and both very likeable. What I watch while washing the day's dishes is now sorted, for quite a while... Best wishes to you both
Thanks! Glad you found us and are enjoying. -E
Congrats on the new move! Looking forward to your new adventure.
congratz!
Looking forward to the new apartment tour.
Given that Eric is about the same size as me. When you guys were in the UK. I find it extraordinary that you are both so happy living in Japan’s little spaces. 🤔 And you guys are from the USA!
I forget how long ago it was i found you guys. It was the first time Kyde went over what it cost to live there. I dont remember you being there Eric but was coming back soon. How time fly's. I guess ill be staying to see where this goes. Wishing you both the very best 🙏✌
Cute dog in the beginning
welcome to sheep club, I think.
Ahh sheep 👍
Super happy for your level-up! Big feels all during the video... :')
impatient to see your next location :)
enjoy your new place.
Read the title half awake and thought y’all were leaving Japan 😭 scared me so bad hahaha can’t wait to see yalls new digs!
Aww sheep dip!
Excited for you guys!
love you guys
Sad you are leaving such an awesome apt and location. Next home day I want to hear more appreciation for the memories the space allowed you to create
Hope your move goes smoothly! Look foward to seeing your new digs. Take care guys!
So exited to see where you guys go next.
So happy for y’all!
Good luck for new apartment ! See you guys new place !
24:11 nightmere 😂 Only other person I've ever heard say nightmere rather than nightmare is Bert Kreischer
I've been following you guys for years. It's great to see you following your dreams!
Love you guys. Love watching you two grow!! 🥰🥰
Brilliant video ! Excited to see the new apartment , An idea when this maybe coming up ? :D
haha we really need to film that.
Your apartment videos are awesome and amongst my favourite.
I remember finding your channel years ago and much in life has led study and travel astray, though am glad you both seem happy and still going strong :> Hopefully the "new structure" process is smooth!
Thanks! Glad you stopped by again, btw. -E
This reminds me, the first video i watched on your channel is the apartment tour n cost. Good luck with the new place!
This pleasing to me.
Omg Eric, not with you ratting out Kyde’s squirreling 🤣
NGL I’d dig in the trash too. 😏 🗑🦝
Eric I love the Björk tee!
Love the vids! Looking forward to many more👏
Damn a fireplace
Congrats on the move! Hope your new place has “above nard level” counters! 😂
Oh, the Björk shirt is really swell!
That's a good t-shirt!
I just wanted to point out your cellphone holder in your shower ... I DO THE SAME THING!!!! I AM NOT ALONE!!!!! YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!
you film onlyfans streams in the shower too?!
@@kydeanderic CLOSE! ... I film members only videos in the shower for my Patreon! For some reason no one wants to subscribe to my account.
Thanks K&E. Great content as always!
From a fellow tall Eric, I totally get "cramped" spaces as a pet peeve, and I'm 3" shorter. You get so used to folding yourself up to fit. I've a buddy who is 6'-8" and he habitually ducks when walking through doors, even ones that are tall enough. It is just an unconscious habit and a tiny bit funny to see. Like he is bowing to every door.
P.S. first time ever stumbling upon your channel, don't know how, don't know why, but nice. You guys are fun !
Haha Yea, there is just something about not fitting in places that slowly drives you crazy. Glad you found us and are enjoying, btw! -E
That little corner that sticks out in the bedroom seems bad as the extra space could let you move the bed, put in a small desk or some drawers .
This is true haha
I just started to watch this video but I can‘t hold myself back to tell what I really liked about your apartement: that smart super secret Umeshu space, you did put a lot of selfmade Umeshu there, ahh lovely memory😌 And for what ever future will bring to you, I wish you just all the best and hopefully you will be happy there. With even more space for selfmade Umeshu😁
haha we will have an entire *room* for secret booze
@@kydeanderic oohhmmyyy what a true blessing, sounds wonderful 😃 and thanks for making me smile, have a great weekend you both ^^//
At first I thought you’re leaving Japan. I’m so glad you’re not.
I need to get me a little rolling hospital table like that. And how I wish I had a heater near my feet! That's the hardest thing for me. I don't usually get cold. I don't like keeping the house too warm. But my desk is right near the entrance & my feet just freeze!
The rolling desk is really amazing, actually. It'd super well built.
I saw a hospital table in a local thrift store recently. If you can't find one, Ikea currently has (depending on where you live) a similar laptop desk without wheels, but a cup holder instead.
Hey! This video evoked memories. You already showed us this crib. BTW, I would love to live in Asakusa. I assume the new place will be a house or at least a much more spacious place than this one. Since we have moved to a new place this summer, I know what it takes. Anyway, I sincerely hope you will move to a place that is more to your liking than this apartment. Be honest, you will miss the Golden Turd, won't you? Cheers!
Yea, we will 100% miss the view haha. -E
Eric, the good thing about the kitchen sink is that you could use it as an alternative urinal if needed 😂
How old is your building? There is a building in my area which has the same design of the hall way outside. The railing is just as low as yours. At least 3 people fell to their death from the hall way. One was suicide and two got pushed over the railing when they were fooling around with their friends. That building was build in 80's and they completely stop using such design in the 90's.
Yea, built in 1989.
Looking at all the halls/rooms in your apartment makes me claustrophobic.(not a prison) lol
haha yea, i mean, it's not a big place. -E
You two crack me up. 😂
Hello Where you going to fit the stuff out of the closet outside your home? Are there closets where you are going too.
or is that stuff going to fit in your new place? Wish we had Japanese removals here as if you move you do all the moving and packing and then unpacking afterwards. I can do without that headache. Good luck in your new place. Take care and stay safe.
We will have a lot more room where we are moving. -E
Having to reprogram your vacuum bot will be interesting too :-)
Might need a second one too....
@@kydeanderic Wow, big place, two stories? I Cant wait to watch the tour of your new place!
You guys live/lived less than 2 kilometres from the Kokugikan.
Yea, I jog past it all the time. -E
Fellow tall boy here (6'5" 195cm) and YES the counters in Japan are just NO ADEQUATE!
it's a problem. -E
wait wait i feel like you overlooked maybe the most important thing i saw in the apartment! Is that gray thing a nutty balls dryer attached to the bathroom drawer?
wait what?
@@kydeanderic in the bathroom hanging from the drawer it looks like a gray fan angled up towards the nards
@@warham4155 oh yea, totally a nard fan. Forgot to mention it.
Possibly the home of TH-cam's first curators museum after you move 🤣🦒🐓
