This guys is absolutely correct Safety 1st and last. air pressure screw normally located at rear of unit, which needs turning down / anti clockwise if model has a gauge it should read for most heaters 5psi at a guess I would that this one was nearer 6 -7. Same if too low / inside chamber turn clockwise up to 5psi (but must just double check your manufacturers spec for model first.) P.s condensation in fuel tank can also cause flame issues. Drain tank / new fuel. Also check fuel filter for obstructions.👍
Those bullet heaters are great... we used them in the army in Afghanistan... small ones like that and ones that were like 5 to 6 feet long and 3 foot in diameter... great heaters for as littke fuel they take
You can also run heating oil. Right now it's $1.99 a gallon. Propane is about $3.50. Kerosene is around the same price. I got a new tank filled at Walmart for $15. They only fill them to 15 lbs. That makes it about $5.00 a gallon.
I've had one of these heater for 30 years has finally went out on me so I had to break down and go buy a new one I didn't get a big one like these guys did I bought the 50,000 BTU cuz my garage ain't that big but it lasted me a long time it's a very very good heater Bob Elkhart Indiana
Bought one on October 19, 2020. Worked two times. Then never again. The consumer number put the “repair” on me. Took it back today, and bought something other than a dyna glo - I’m done with them!
I am on my 2nd full heating season with this heater, and the only main issue I have is the fuel/run time gauge cracks the lens. I am sure it is related to me only running diesel fuel in it, but I will say the manufacturer has always sent me a free replacement when I email them!!
PhreshFella that would be nice I need someone that works there to put in a good word lol we want as many sponsors as possible. But even 1 would be nice lol
Always ventilate at all times while in use! Do NOT seal yourself in the garage! Open a window, back door or garage door a little to get fresh air... ☠️
@@jamesdeclan7538 EVERY combustion produces Carbon Monoxide, that is the real danger here. Always ventilate when burning anything. I am pretty sure it says that in the instructions.
MY BRAND NEW [DYNO GLO] 220DGD..Flippn stoppd working . i have no spark ..motor blows n diesel spraying out of front..i only used this once!!! kidda PISSD $300. PLUS FOR THE FLIPPN THING .... WHERE DO I START?
Dyna Glo is NOT INTENDED FOR INSIDE "ANYWHERE" But if you're stupid enough, please USE KEROSENE!!!!!! Is not me who's talking but my own experience because I was stupid before yourself and ended up on a ambulance. Take it or leave it, it's your choice. Good luck.
Just bought this heater and it's a beast.
The flame shouldn't go past the heat shield, is there an air pressure knob in the back you can adjust.

Kerosene Torpedo heater is energy efficient. Farm Animals will love this they will get so toasty.

random with brian ya so far heats the shop quick and cheaper than what we were using the only downfall is how loud it is when we are making a video
You need to turn the pressure down if flames are coming out of the front.
I got a Dyna Glo 180,000- 220,000 BTU last month. 30 x 40 shop. It works uhmazing.
4 years later... do you still have and use this heater?

put some soapstone in front it will absorb all the heat. so when u turn it off. soapstone will still radiate.
Get the Harbor freight battery transfer pump its so much easier.for filling
They are trying to tell you the unit puts out 95k btu of heat on low and 135k btu on high.
It's supposed to 95,000 on the low setting and 135,000 on the high setting.
8:00 that thing looks pissed off.

Bob what about the exhaust coming from the heater? Do you leave a window open? How does venting the room work to prevent carbon monoxide.
Do you need to hooked up the propane tank?
Yes
I have the same Dyna Glo heater. Fuel gauge is broken. Do you know how they come out? Twist?
love the video, keepin it simple and stay on the rails

Hey man can you tell me how this heater is still working and what problems you have had
The only problem I have had with it is on start up I just shut it off then try again and it works other than that it's great

only when the burn is incomplete, this only happens when they turn it off, and the main concern is leaving diesel-burning vehicles in a sealed garage.

Would diesel smell vs kerosene?
kerosene less than diesel but they still smell

joe culbertson we had that happen to us once but it was on low. Never has it done it on high try seeing if thats the problem
Pretty sure wheels go on the other side.
Good job reading those paper things that has words on em'..uhm..I like pictures but; wheels should be at the output end of er'...lol
A terrible video being less amateur about it. But, on a positive side, the job was done and informative. Thank you for your time.
I bought one of these a few years ago and it's still sitting in the unopened box.
Nodak81 can i have it
Where ya at I’ll buy it lol
Just purchased one from Walmart, $258.
The 80k unit only cost $184, but I figure I move stuff around so much in my garage that I gotta have the wheels. And LEDs are so pretty
Should you really be burning diesel indoors? It’s a dirty fuel.
لا اله الا الله

@@jcase19 I concur. When doing a research on the these types of heaters, this is for inside.
Wow what a waste of time you fancy pants. I came here to figure out how to light mine but I guess you guys are rich and bought the automatic one
