Learned to rappel on the overlook, been to Minister Creek hundreds of times, had a cabin on Church Hill not far from there. Hiked the NCT from Hearts Content through Kellettville to Marienville numerous times over the years. 1973 through 1996. Some of my fondness memories are from those trails. Back then all I had was a camera, now with help from people like you I can go there anytime. I live in Nashville , Tn now and don’t get back there too often. Thanks again for the great video ❤😊
That's so freaking cool. There's such beauty along the NCT in the ANF and there's nothing like the memories of the trails you grow up doing. You can move away and do countless other trails, but those trails still hold a special place in your heart. We just went to Nashville 2 months ago, and on our way down we explored the wilderness near you and did a mini waterfall parks tour; Ozone Falls, Falls Creek Falls, Twin Falls, Old Stone Fort, Savage Golf. Glad you enjoyed our video!
Terrific video! Thanks so much for posting it. I’m planning on heading up there soon. I appreciate your humor and your aesthetics. Thanks for pointing out the cool campsites. This is really helpful for first time. You and your partner look like you have a wonderful relationship. One small suggestion, offered politely: it was hard to hear what your partner was saying sometimes. Maybe subtitles when appropriate. A small thing really. Also, bonus points for the Cuyahoga shout out when you were hiking the rocks. Anyway, thanks so much for posting this video; really helpful.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video. I appreciate the suggestion, and you're spot on, it's a small thing but the small things are important in videos. I've been trying to get better with the sound from both of us or use more subtitles in videos since this video. For this Minister Creek video I used a cheaper Akaso action camera, but I've upgraded to a new GoPro since then. Also, I'm probably going to buy us both microphones to use for my gopro. Love Cuyahoga!!! We've been a handful of times, and I fall more in more in love with Cuyahoga every time we go. We biked the park last year and then went back when my buddy ran a 100 mile race in the park. Will get back there a few more times next year.
Oh thanks bud, I appreciate the tip! I'm planning on going back to the trail with some friends in the spring. I want to do some of North Country trail to check out the leantoos and I'll make sure I'll add the middle loop to my hike.
Did that hike Sept. of last year, trail was completely dry. But like you said, there was trash everywhere. It's a real shame that certain people are making a beautiful area look like an inner city slum. My trash carryout weighed almost as much as 3 ltr. of water. SHAME!

Also you should have taken the middle loop back down instead of the south. Way more scenic.

Nice, you have some North Country videos, I'll check those out. I've done parts of the NCT farther south but not up near minister creek.

Looked a little ruff on some spots . Maybe thirty years ago when I was young like you two . Like the river videos though.
