I was so honored to be part of this clinic in San Diego, in person and learn alongside Gunther and others! What a GREAT experience I 1000% recommend - the instruction was absolutely fantastic, and it was a BLAST. Matt Novak
Dude, you FIXED MY BACKSWING THAT I COULD NEVER FIX. I don’t know why this type of knowledge isn’t priority #1 in every beginner video. It’s so simple, hands low, club high.
"I just wanted to say that I utilized your Takeaway drill in my golf lesson today, and it was a game-changer! The visuals you provided really helped my student grasp the concept, and he gained a fantastic feel for there takeaway.--- Thank you for sharing such valuable content!"
Keeping my trail leg flexed is TUFFF. I recorded myself today and I had the full Gunther going. I never realized how bad it was swinging from the top leading with my chest. This might be the one that changes everything I see it so clearly now. I’ve been watching you everyday for almost a year now porzak I can’t thank you enough. I want to be able teach my boys this great game! The right way.
I wish I could find a coach that is this enthusiastic that I can afford. I've been working on this particular swing mechanic and it's helped my game immensely
I have been watching all your videos and have learned soon much as a 76 years old student of the game . This lesson is a big piece of the puzzle. I struck the ball so well today
I have watched a lot of your videos and I have to say that the advice in this video was instrumental in me learning to sync my hips and hands - and not force through with upper body force gained me 10 miles per hour club speed effortlessly. Thanks for great instruction videos!
Great drill and explanation. Your video on hinging and turning got my irons dialed. Was wondering is this drill the same for driver, just change the angle or different? Thanks for your videos and help
Great video. Love the simple to follow instructions. How far away is the alignment rod from your iron if you were looking side on? Would you connect with the rod if you swung over the top? Thanks
In this instance we are using the alignment stick as a visual. It is just far enough from the student that it won't disrupt the swing. However, many of our students will bring the alignment stick closer to get instant feedback.
Thanks for sharing. The inside takeaway is continually an issue for me. I focus a lot on the setup things you recommend (Ex: giving blood, hip bump, etc). I try to do your palm pressing down left shoulder parallel to ball to target line over toe line takeaway. I'll try to add on the hands low clubhead out combined with the other keys. (Focused on that independently of the other stuff long ago).

So glad you enjoyed the clinic Matt! Thanks for sharing the experience!

A true golf coach who is excited to improve his students. Makes so much sense. Thank you

ive played golf for 57 years to a good level but will defo try this - thanks!
Good stuff Adam⛳️❤️
Great instructions, to get the feeling would you suggest using a short iron such as a 9 or P-wedge
By far the best golf instruction on TH-cam. I only wish you guys had a golf clinic in Florida 🤞
You need to discover airplanes
We'll keep that in mind! 🙏🏻
We do offer online/ facetime lessons if you want to get after it today!

Gunthers shoes are wildinnn😂
Hey Adam - I’ve got the alignment rod matching the club shaft and positioned directly behind the ball, but how far back do you typically like it?
Are you ok with a slight forward press to begin the takeaway Adam?
It feels like it makes it easier to begin hingeing.
Is this the same move for the driver?
Should our hands AND club be underneath the rod on the downswing?
Isn't this feel/drill stopping the right arm folding ?
Do you think this is an accurate statement: the arms/hands sync with hips but the shoulders lag behind?
What's the rough angle you have the alignment stick on, bit over 45?
You want to match the alignment stick angle with the angle of your club shaft at address!
@PorzakGolf awesome, thanks again for the great tips and insight!
He can't help but get a little OTT
