I've visited each and every subcontinent nation except Afghanistan. But nothing was better than Sri Lanka. Almost everything was affordable, worth it and memorable. It was cleaner, less scammers comparee to others, more developed and theit people should be remembered for their hospitality. I even received free food on holidays. They call it "Densel" or something like that. Ikr India was a very diverse place that you would have to travel a lot. But when we consider about the time you have, It's impossible to get the full adventure( I spent 2 months in India in 2017) But during my vacation in Sri Lanka I explored almost each and every place people recommended. And I found it's much easier to deal with their locals than other countries. Btw as you mentioned earlier each and every country was unique in some aspects. Love the subcontinent from New Zealand 🇳🇿❤🇱🇰🇮🇳🇵🇰🇧🇩🇳🇵🇧🇹🇲🇻

As a Singaporean traveler I want to say the same.. Sri Lanka is our top pick in South Asia.. Other than its beauty, the people are more educated, environment is cleaner and the average life in Sri Lanka is more developed than the other countries. But the other countries do offer their own things.. Bhutan, Maldives and Nepal were my next favorites though... I have Sri Lankan engineers working in my company in Singapore and I can quite see that they are very outgoing/fun personalities embracing modern values compared to other South Asians..

We didn’t make it to the backwaters unfortunately because our visa was running out and we were not able to extend. We’ve seen videos and kerela looks incredible, pretty sad we didn’t get to see a lot of it.

As a Singaporean "Marko Polo" type traveler/explorer I fell in love with all these countries, But Sri Lanka was the king! OMG! Colombo is a charm! I mean such a modern clean and beautiful capital was never expected in South Asia, pretty different from all the others. People are also much different than the rest of the South Asians.. I mean an average Sri Lankan would understand English very well, and more often highly educated, well mannered and well aware about the world ! It's unbelievable for such a small country. Bhutan and Nepal were the other best choices.. They have their own beauty.. Mountain kingdoms I would say.. But really fancy heavens.. India? umm apart from the cultural and landmarks, it's the cheap shopping I guess.

@@arjunraj823 There's no other city like Colombo in entire South Asia. The mix of nature into modern life and skyscrapers is dazzling. But Kerala is good in its own way too.
@@yevanyevan7238 Banglore is garden city. A modern city with an elevation of 900m above sea level. Chilled climate.
Colombo looks good with sky scrapers but no modern transportation facilities yet.
@@arjunraj823 Well.. Bangalore is overrated. I agree with the transport specifically the Metro rail system. But to call it a garden city is not right. Lalbagh and few gardens are there, but uhh.. not so much of a lush greeny city. And it doesn't even have enough water for its people. I think Mumbai is better than Bangalore with transport, if you talk about that. Colombo is building their own metro railway last time I visited, and with that and their port city, it'll be next to Dubai and Singapore.. My most preferred cities in South Asia are, Colombo, Mumbai, Male and Thimpu..

I am an Indian. I agree with it. Srilanka offers a pleasant stay experience among the three. There is no doubt about it. However, kerala is very close and comparable to it and offers one extra thing called backwater experience. But kerala is a lot more crowded than Sri Lanka so the pleasant experience is obviously compromised.

Best thing about Sri Lanka is its people and the fact that so many different environments are packed into one small island. The climates changes drastically within a few kilometres. So you can get the best experience in the shortest amount of time!
Kerala is more packed with wonders than Lanka. Beach to hills in couple of hours. Backwaters. Heaven ❤️

Not sure about Nepal but between India and Sri Lanka, I'd go with the latter. Your IG posts on India are filled with hatred from Indians just because of your Pakistani heritage. Sri Lankans are more welcoming. Plus Sri Lanka is a lot cleaner and is a better bang for your buck.

As a Nepali I think Sri Lanka is still far better to visit than Nepal. There are still many places to visit besides the mountains and Kathmandu, pokhara and many things to do beside hiking, trekking but travelling is soo shit in Nepal and also People think Nepali are really friendly, Honestly they are not as friendly as foreigner believes.

Anyhow my statement still stands. Sri Lanka is MUCH SAFER for female tourists than India. Even recently a Brazilian/Spanish woman traveling with her own man was raped by a gang of young INDIANS ! That is an absolutely horrible fate that I would not wish upon my biggest enemies as I grow older and wiser ! This is the SAD SITUATION of women's security in INDIA ! It's the people factor mainly.. Indians life is about surviving the competition and in the process most have lost their respect for humanity, fun, manners and discipline resulting in the dirt and misbehaviors... Literacy problem is also there.. On the other hand Sri Lankans are highly educated, respects the nature and their culture pushes them to embrace modernism while respecting human values. I have been to India 2, Nepal and Bhutan 4 times and Sri Lanka 7 times.

I grew up in Canada, travelled many countries including many parts of Kerala and Tamilnadu. Sri lanka is beyond comparison despite the issue with Sinhalese denying minorty rights and treat tamils and muslim as 3rd citizens. The country, people, food, are extraordinary. Compare tamil northern tamilnadu, i like kerala and southern tamilnadu better (Kaniyakumari). Kerala food is somewhat similar to sri lankan - Cocunut milk in all curries, puttu, idyappam etc

Neutrally, India has hot deserts, Snowy regions, sunny beaches, dense forests, mountains - Himalayas, 1 of 7 world wonders , world's oldest Civilization, Historic architectures, Top most cuisine, Islands. India should invest more in tourism sector. Srilanka and Nepal are also good & unique. 👍

I travelled the whole world but Sri Lanka is very special for me, Not only mountain history wild life beaches and cleanliness but there is a unique thing me and wife like , It's people
of all major 4 religious people one is better than the other for hospitality,
Unique: To me and my wife kids
1. All religious special days are public holidays (equally respected which you don't find in other majority countries
2.We love to see school kids with white uniforms so clean and ironed with identical hair style with the same colour ribbon (me and my wife sit and watch the beauty cleanness disipline of kids we have never seen
3.people always with a smile

Visit Kerala in south India. And compare it with Srilanka. Its more developed with pristine beautiful landscape.
I have Visited all 3 Many times. The amount of things Nepal offers are incomparable ! Festivals of Kathmandu Valley are very unquie . Most visit during Festival times
