Ellie your Dash Board, and Instrument bezels look awesome, and Ron did an awesome job refinishing them like new! You are going to have one beautiful car when you are done restoring it, and people will drool looking at it, knowing you did all the work yourself with your awesome dad! It would be nice if more young people like you took interest in doing something like this, instead to just wasting their lives playing video games! Ellie I give you 10 Thumbs Up for your awesome work!
Who is Ron and how do I contact him? I have a 64 Ranchero that is a survivor, not a restored car, and I only have a few things left to do to the interior to make her look brand new. I've replaced the voltage regulator, changed all bulbs to LED and fixed akl wiring, so everything works. But the bezel and instrument cluster is old and dingy. I'd love to know who can restore it and replace the chrome, get her looking new again.
it is so awesome to see a young lady like you so enthused about working on a vintage automobile it does my heart good to see the younger generation want to rescue and restore them thank you
Great job. And i like how the guy is right there. By your side, helping you out. I Really, Need to get motivated on my 1967 Ford Falcon Sport Coupe. Grandparents, bought it brand new. They hung onto it for me.
You’re lucky to have such a great dad to help you on your Falcon. Glad your project is looking good 👍 Also the cluster bezel is so hard to find, you’re lucky to have one
It's always surprising how long it takes for the paint to full cure. It's the one thing I have to force myself to give it plenty of time before reassembly.
WOW! That is one drool worthy dash! I copied Ron & Martin's link since I just purchased a 1965 Mustang coupe that needs a total restoration. (BTW it has the same engine, carb., transmission , etc., that your Falcon has.) So nice of Ron to donate these to you! Keep up the great work!
i dont mean to be so offtopic but does anyone know of a way to log back into an instagram account?? I was dumb lost my login password. I would love any tips you can offer me.
@Louie Jayce I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and im in the hacking process now. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
It's looking good. I have always been a Ford person, my first car was a 1960 Ford Fairlane my second was a 1964 Ford Falcon Futura 2 door hardtop with a 260 and fordomatic. My most resent restore was a 1968 Ford Mustang coupe with a 289 C4 tran. Just a pointer for you to do the headliner correctly you well need to remove the windshield and back glass. There are a lot of youtubes on doing it all. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions.
Great job. You have the right skills and observe how things work. You also are not scared to try new ideas. Glove box light location, just a though, try putting it in the top of glove box next time. Your attention to detail is way above most mechanics I have worked with.
Hahaha ken that's awesome, yeah my interior needs some love and I plan on some how installing the dome light, seat belts, new carpet, and rope on back of seat.
Really looks great, I’m going to try painting mine. And it’s already cut up for an aftermarket radio. So I can do a better job with a clean conscience.
I love your makeshift spray booth. :) BTW I installed a mini split hvac system in my garage. It is far more efficient and less costly to operate. I know your build is mostly done now however you still may wish to consider this upgrade for your workspace.
Lucky you that you have such nice dash trim pieces! They look awesome 😊 Take good care of them, not easy to come by, and when you do they're a lot of $$. Curious about glovebox, seems in video like it's made of plastic. Thought those where always made of cardboard like material, even from factory. 😮
what size screws did you use to install the dash bezels into place? Right now my car looks like it has 6 different size screws holding them in. I think I am lucky because I actually have all the plastic trim in good condition, other than they need to be refinished. Thanks!
Hello, sorry for the delay. The last week has been crazy for us. We had 2 different sizes of screws as well. I'm not positive on the exact size, but we did replace the clips that the screws go into because we were missing a couple. I think if you have screw heads that will fit into your bezel holes, and if they screw nicely into the clips you're using, then you'll be good with picking out a screw that works for you. We're definitely not experts--just what we saw when we were in there. Hope that's somewhat helpful!
Any idea on where I could source dash bezels, like those? Love the videos, they have been helping my daughters and I in our own restoration, great work!
Hey I made the same deal with my parents and got a 1966 falcon, it’s my first project and was just wondering what tips you have for funding, parts, manuals, etc.?
Fortunately, those Glove Box Light Switches....... Will outlast COCKROACHES!!! 😜😂😅 I thought I'd see your most current, even though I still have a lot of catching up to do. Ellie.... Those Dash Bezels look INCREDIBLE!! 🏆💯👏👏👏👏👏👏 You have been so hooked up and so Blessed with Carl. And you're becoming a Bonafide EXPERT. 👍👍 BTW, my fortunes are about to change... So? Well, everyone is helping you, I got to thinking... You still need a Rt. Fender?? I thought I'd look into it - but ALL I'm finding is 64 and newer. 😭😭 I've got a few more Friends in the business to call, but maybe? Don't want to promise until I can deliver. 😉 Carmine ✈🚂🚙
Those are actually the original bezels and they were re-chromed and painted. Unfortunately, the person who did the restoration has retired from doing dash bezels.
Dash looks amazing! Just a FYI for future use. Spray paint cans in a bucket of warm water will warm the paint up. Pour hot water in a bucket. Do not place the cans in boiling water on a stove!
You can find him on Facebook: facebook.com/ron.roth.14 We thought he had retired from doing bezels, but it looks like he's still going! It may take a little while but it's definitely worth it!

It really is about the small details. Keep at it Ellie!
Love the old cup holders. Was great for the drive-in theater and car hops.
Hi Ellie,
Two comments, always paint the back of the part first and buy some LED Bulbs for your dash you will Love them!!
Keep up the Great Work!!
You did an amazing job picking your dash color. The dash looks so good with the new bezels.
It's always surprising how long it takes for the paint to full cure. It's the one thing I have to force myself to give it plenty of time before reassembly.
Fantastic looking dash! Looking forward to your final finish and first drive!!
Thank you!

Awesome videos! Keep up the great work 👍 I'm 21 and just got my own Ford! I now own a 1956 4 door customline ford. I'm slowly restoring mine as well
I grew up in that model LME. Has straps behind the front seat. So us little guys to be able to stand and bug dad.

Wow, what a difference!!
It did look better then new great job stay with it.
Just remember never spray with that heater on!! It will suck in the spray dust - vapor and will blowup!! everything looks great !! have fun !
Nice job on the dash bezels. Beautiful job.
Every episode, I’m amazed at how clean this car is. I don’t know what your Dad paid, but it was a bargain!!

You can put your paint cans in warm water to warm them up. Just leave them in the warm water til you need them.
Good tip! Thanks!!
@@ElliesGarage Or just bring the paint into the warm house the night before.
He does excellent work, Ellie. Looks awesome.
Thanks so much!
Very nice... cant wait to see the stereo episode..
You already know more about cars than Constance from Gotham Garage does. Impressed.
The dash looks fantastic!!
Thanks!

Good job!
If I ever need chroming, I know where I'm going, that was very cool to do for you. ..
It was so nice. You should check him out!
Who refinished the instrument panel for you?
He has actually retired from doing bezel restorations since we had ours done. Sorry.
Keep up the good work! I have a 1964 Falcon that has the same color dash. Which spray paint did you use?
Really cool video! I’m very Proud of you! Question, Do you and you Dad always get along? Take care🇺🇸
Thank you so much! We have our moments where we get frustrated with each other, but we usually get along great. We're really close.

Ellie, where did you get the bevels?
Those are actually the original bezels and they were re-chromed and painted. Unfortunately, the person who did the restoration has retired from doing dash bezels.
Ellie tel me please where you buy plastic glove box
This was one of the parts that we actually got with the car, but we're pretty sure it came with the Vintage Air kit that was in Carl when we got him.
@@ElliesGarage thank you, I can't find a similar one, only paper ones

That's a GREAT tip! Thank you!!
You can bring those small pieces and the paint inside over night, too. Prep doesn't care much when it happens.
You need a v8 efi 5.0 in that car, girl! ZOOM!
Wow. You’re an awesome kid. Good job 👍🏻
Who refinished your dash pieces? Thank you
Unfortunately he has since retired from doing restorations
How do you get in contact with mr roth..I have a ranchero that needs done

Hello! Unfortunately the gentleman who did our bezels has since retired from doing restorations. Sorry. 😞

Don't you dare ever sell that car.
I can't imagine!
