Great job on that '62 Falcon. That was the 2nd car I owned after graduating high school in 1970. Paid $150.00 for it. White, 144 c.i. straight 6 hooked to the 2 speed Ford O Mastic trans. Painted it bronze. Put Gabriel high jackers on her. 14 inch Fairlane rims on the back. Never got round to putting a 289 in her though. Got a letter from Dick Nixon ordering me to the Army. That was '71. Sold the Falcon cause I figured there be a good chance I wouldn't make it back. But I did. But she was gone.I really loved that car. Tons of memories, especially in that luxurious back seat!!!! Anyway, great job on her! She looks & sounds fabulous!!
Very nice. Beside what he said they needed to do to throw a 302 in it he had to change the entire front suspension, sway bar, spindles, brake systems the list goes on and on. A lot of work to swap from a inline 6 to a v8 safely in the early 60's year vehicles.
Nice falcon and nice build- nice guy to boot- his dad is leaving great legacy that will stand forever- he’s a proud owner- awesome- I just bought a 63 futura hardtop- cool cars
best car platform ever. had 2 1962 1 64 wagon a convertible and a 63 sprint its last incarnation was a 302 4 speed running a 69 road runner posi dana best platform ever
G'day from down under, very nice example, and the young dude kept the period-correct radio! Ford Australia built these Falcons locally but didn't offer the coupes until '64 to '65 with slightly different body styles. 🤟😎
Am I the only one to take notice of a small big detail? I looked down the comments- not one pointed it out. I'm not a knit-picker on this one. I love all Falcons '60--'65. I'll take the '62's front and rear appearance over the '63's, but his '62 has the tail lights of a '61. His car looks great and sounds beautiful! Such Music!
Thanks for posting this. I have a '62 Falcon Futura with a 302 and AOD which is very similar to this one. Do you remember if he installed subframe connectors?
Grandfather had 6cly 3 speed little 170 I think .it had a chrome star on front of the quarters good size can anyone tell me about them never seen on any other falcon.oh it got ate in a tornado in 66
@Mael-Strom The falcon on the fenders wouldn't have been chrome. It would most likely have been a golden color and that probably why he remember it as a star. But of course Australian Falcons differ somewhat from the North American models. They have a badge on the front of some models.
Nice Falcon and the host sounds like a nice dude, but I wish he didn't lean his elbows on the fenders of other guy's car. It's a good way to put some dents on the top of the fenders.

Are you sure it was a chrome star? From memory, I think it may have been a stylized chrome falcon. 🤔🤟😎

Enjoyed the video. I'm a huge falcon fan. Building a 63.5 hardtop AWD car on my channel. Check me out!
Engine……engine…….not motor. Gasoline engine, electric motor. Diesel engine, electric motor. Jet engine, electric. Motor. Engine!
