DeWalt DCF961: amzn.to/3NsKfjL 3/4" Anvil: amzn.to/3v1Whu0
The Humdinger now on Amazon: amzn.to/4ehkqy3
How good is the new Metabo SSW 18 LTX 1750 BL? Can it beat a DeWALT DCF961 with an anvil swapped to 3/4" to match the upcoming DCF964? We find out today by buying it as well as two no name hopefuls from Temu and Amazon to see what the 3/4" scene looks like these days.
As always, the creator of this channel works in product development for Astro Tools, who also make 3/4' impacts (air), always consider multiple sources when looking at a tool!
The Harbor Freight Hercules 3/4" looks to have come out around a day ago. Our store doesn't have one yet, but we'll have to pick one up to compare! In general these episodes usually take around 2 weeks or more to make - so anything that comes out a couple days before will have a hard time making the cut. Suggest others to compare!
Hey, it's me. Air ratchet guy. Jonnesway makes a knuckle buster.
Why is TH-cam comments on Mobile absolutely dog shit?
It would be cool to see how the Ingersoll Rand W7172-K22 $427.99 tool only, snap-on CT9100DB 627.95 tool only
But something i think it would be interesting to see what the $80 home depot XtremepowerUS Model#: 18855-H1 could actually do! Claiming Output torque: 5800 NM and Approx. 4275 ft./lbs.
I think i know the answer to this but, Is there any way this could be connected to an impact?
Would love to see a comparison of all the new gen Hercules impacts to see if they’ve improved on anything
Also, the gen 1 ultra torque Hercules can be had for $130 right now with a 20% coupon on top of its clearance price.
DeWalt on DeWalt action, by making Chainsaw Massacre ][ by strapping a DCF-961 to it, in place of that Milwaukee? 😊
And, perhaps try and machine a small metal enclosure for the whole thing (instead of using the drill body)?
Something that looks similar to the drill impact-attachment that you tested awhile back...
The reason Dewalt hasn't come out with theirs is because they're still working on how to make it as angry with life as the 1/2" model.
theyll slap a bigger motor on it so it can stomp 1'' impacts.
or make a whacky flexvolt impact
I'd like to see some durability tests, who's insides are ground to dust with repeated use .
I would offer my Makita 40V 3/4 but even after about 2 years, hundreds of tires and whatever else doesn't want to move for anything else it still works great.
Perhaps if the 1 inch comes out and is really good then I might consider it for science.
@@shangri-la-la-la they have already tested the makita 40v 3/4 inch. Towards the end of the video, they mention it briefly.
@@Asmith-1111 I am talking for a durability test. To see how they hold up after being used on a frequent basis.
I'm glad Nathan sent it over! I had to tell you right away when I seen it because it was awesome that someone swapped it over so quick... Great tests as always!!!
Is there a build video or post about it somewhere?
I'm trying to do the same but wondering if he installed a steel sleeve into the nose cone after enlarging it to fit the 3/4 anvil?
@@jdogdiesel7242 nope he just enlarged the whole big enough to fit
That special sauce DeWalt is using is something else!
secret ingredient is meth :D
Id love to see the 3/4" pnuematics on the dyno. I know u cant garauntee 90psi under load but if u cant...we cant either so it would still be good content.
We're working on a new air system in spring
@@TorqueTestChannel Please do a build episode on it.
Would love to see under a 90psi load and also run a proper set up to see the difference.
Can I send you my Snap-on, 3/4" drive impact?
Just be warned, you may have your ft/lbs feeling hurt.
dewalts loves embarring the S/O!
May prove interesting 🤔
I have an ingersoll rand 1/2" big torque impact that tries to break my hand. In reverse the numbers claimed should beat most of these tools. It's weird they've never been tested.
@@saturnmedia1 and his cost per ft lbs also
A carbide insert in a boring bar could make short work of it and for most who don't have a home machine shop a visit to your local shop (on a Friday and offer to bring frostly libation) might get the bushing mod done cheap, quick and accurately. Bring anvil and housing so they can mic the anvil shaft. BTW for large batteries to ship freely in Europe one option for manufacturers (and creative hobbyists with 3D printers) could be to make one style of battery with a duplicate battery well in the bottom so as to stack batteries. How insane one chose to be with stacked parallel batteries is up to the user. Another could be a dual battery adapter mounting them side by side vertically. Awkward but for some jobs it could avoid mechanic suffering.
I'm no machinist, would you shave my lobes?
th-cam.com/video/IBy2AskibXY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=OAjiapn-k9HOTbx0
That's a really neat idea
Seeing the SeeSii try to shout you out in an ad, and then get destroyed in todays runs, was quite funny 🤣
HF just released the 3/4" "Ultra torque". Would be interested to see where that stacks up. Assuming it's just the 1/2 with a 3/4 Anvil.
Looks like our stores dont have any yet, but we'll have to pick one up!
And it's ONLY $200 in stock store by me but want to get it in INDIANA save on TAXE$ hopefully they did more then just 3/4 ANVIL
@THEBEARDEDTOOLGUY oh its def just an anvil. But that's normal
@@THEBEARDEDTOOLGUY -I just saw the 961 on Amazon for $280! So it’s not much more for a DeWalt at this moment. 8/28/24
That DeWalt is a beast. Wow.
I would love to see the air version of this snap on Matco Mac ext and a one inch version aswell
I love these 3/4 videos, that dewalt mod is how they should have shipped it right away from factory. Imho makita xgt still looks very competitive, similar or better numbers in more "realistic" 5 and 10 second tests and none of that vtec nonsense, plus their batteries are much better and quality/repairability is better in general.
Pretty sure they did 1/2 model just in case to be the number one among 1/2 impact wrenches. Maybe there is more to do for the dewalt than just snap on 3/4 drive on 961, and they will do some twicks and things around to make it actual 1200 ft/lbs monster.
@@bleyz3557 maybe yeah, we'll have to wait and see :)
It's worth keeping in mind a 10 second test here is still starting from zero torque. You wouldn't be needing 10 seconds to see the performance we show if your bolt is already tight enough to need those numbers. The VTec changes things a bit but still.
@@TorqueTestChannel yeah ofc :)
@@MrArcticPOWER ofc, for a good reason 👍
Definitely need to see more Temu Stuff
Too bad you didn't get the new Hercules 3/4" curious how it compares to these
Looks like it's been out for 1 day and our stores dont have any yet
I just did an anvil swap on my dcf900. Used a dcf897 nose cone and anvil. Fits perfectly
how does it perform? better than when it was 1/2in drive?
the paw patrol mayor 😂😂 gotta love having young young siblings/cousins
i’ll wait for the new yellow 3/4. my old big boy 1/2 is still doing fine
Fern, my girlfriend's last name is Heimerdinger. I am devastated that now our friends, all avid TTC viewers, will now giggle when she enters a room. 🙁
Be thankful your girls hammer has no action to it... they'd crack alot of Thai jokes I'd imagine if that thing did hit
Wow this really makes me look forward to my DCF 964 showing up. I have a 9 amp flexvolt and I know exactly where it will be if I can find a bolt/nut that will stand up to that beast of a an impact with a 5 amp battery hooked to it.
Can you guys test the Ework high torque impact and maybe a few of Eworks other impact wrench options?
And to think Makita XGT had this torque 3 years ago…
How about an impact socket stress test against that banger of a Dewalt? See which one resists the round-out the best. Wright Tool just came out with WrightSquare which is supposed to be like flank drive for the back end of a socket, and a bunch of other popular socket options like Tekton and Sunex and Pittsburgh, maybe toss in a truck brand in there, etc.
Something I'd like to see you test are metal shears. It would be quite informative and also pretty cool to see you test the different brands to the point of failure.
I love how dewalt is kicking fuckin ass and all the Milwaukee fanboys are real quiet about the “best tool brand ever! Hell yeah red tools for life go America” like buddy guy Milwaukee ain’t shit, they just have good marketing and a wide variety of tools. Dewalt isn’t trash
i use the same heimerdinger in 1/2", for the laughable amount of money it costs, its very good.
Unless you already have Makita batteries, you'd be better off just buying a kit for a big brand since the batteries alone make it too expensive.
@@itspapaj4732 absolutely, these are meant for people who alredy have the batteries, but dont want to pay stupid money for the makita impacts. for the own vehicles/some friends cars type of garage they are great.
i have bought mine with shipping for roughly the price of a makita 5ah battery.
Would doing tests on various digital torque wrenches be something you guys would consider doing in the future? I cant remember who but I saw a video a year back of some guy comparing various wrenches and how far out some of the cheaper models are. Would be nice to see :)
What is With the Bosch Professional gds 18v 1050hc (name in Germany) It also has a 3/4 inch mount
Nice video as always guys.
Man 1500Nm with a hand held impact, this is getting way too crazy.
Can you do the ''release test'' with the Makita xgt 3/4''?
Man now I have to wait for a dedicated video on the new hercules
Dewalt all day! Nothing but overall best tools for the field of hard work! 😊 I know I field tests with heavy equipment. But now I making mine a 3/4 too! 👍🏼
Please make a review and comparison of yato wrenches YT-828074 and YT-828071
The DCF897 has a different width on the anvil lugs (dawgs as you call them). That will result in strange wear/low life on that anvil.
Yep. I just posted a video showing this exact thing, but I've been calling them lobes 😂
Okay I had to LOL at seeing Humdinger on the screen!.
That was a bloodbath. At least Murica carried it home.
I enjoyed "Frankewaukee". Man taht moded DeWalt 3/4" sure has a bad attitude when it comes to stuck bolts! Nice!
You should try to make a 2967-20 3/4 drive version, that would be really cool! A bit less power but shorter and lighter.
can you include your test with 3/4" bosch biturbo? its tool only only price is kinda on the low side.
I have a weird feeling seesee is going to make a huge come back for kicks and giggles
love the paw patrol reference for all us parents lmao
speaking of aliexpress would be cool to see a small roundup of aliexpress pneumatic tools
NEXT TIME ---
add spining turbo noises 😆😆😆
hF Hercules just came out with a 3/4 as well for 199 bare tool
I hope more brands notice how good it is to make a good quality tool. Seesii probably saw a significant increase in sales after the ttc video and it was solely based on the performance of the tool. The 3/4 wasn’t as impressive, though.
Now I can't wait for the real dcf964. My dcf900 just isn't able to remove everything I need it to.
just call it the humdinger like ProjFarm Todd would. 891 was my former new favorite thi ng.
We need to see the Jingleheimer Schmidt review.
I'd love to see you review the line up of Caterpillar power tools. Dont know who manufactures them and I wonder if they're any good.
You should take apart some craftsman stuff and see if it will take Dewalt parts.
We've done that with their high torque
@@TorqueTestChanneland?
Quite similar with some updates being newer

Ein Volk, ein Reich, ein Kommentarbereich.
Maybe try the Bosch 3/4"? Its rated for 1050Nm, just 50 more than the 1/2" but guessing from how that finished, that would be 2nd place...
Got my DCF961 today, never ever have I been this disappointed.... It couldn't open 33mm nut from semi trailer
Was it hopping around and chattering? Sometimes it gets like a in a vibration feedback loop on something stuck, which the DF964 3/4" should help with.
@@TorqueTestChannel I tried multiple times and pressed the tool forcibly towards the nut but it couldn't loosen all nuts... I just returned to the trailer and changed fresh powerstack to the tool and could eventually get the rest nuts loose. I don't know if the problem is that I had 3/4" adapter on it or were the nuts really that tight... Or is the tool defective?
Can the 3/4" anvil be swapped to it without doing any other modifications?
@@CranAlley you'd need to wait for the new 3/4 anvil part number. Adapters kill impact tq
@@TorqueTestChannel I just noticed that it looks like, at least on ACME's site, the DCF964 can be ordered. Hopefully that means the anvil from it will be available soon!
Could you please make another video to determine the release torque on the dewalt dcf 961 and the metabo ssw 18 ltx 1750, that would be much more interesting Thanks
I would like to see testing on all the battery powered caulk guns, just wondering if there’s anyway they’re worth it
I was wondering if he was going to call it humdinger like project farm did
Did not disappoint
Putting a 3/4 on the DeWalt was turning it from a "I Wasn't Asking" to a "You Will Be Punished Now"
Dewalt FTW 🙌
Run the XGT on the skid with a 5ah
i have suspicion the weight of the anvil changed the turn over of the 2nd planetary gear? when you had it open i noticed 2 set of gears big and small one, it may just be a gear change
I'm scared to see what the dcf999 will be like when we get there
Can you guys test the Menards brand power tools, masterforce. Very curious where they land since they're also made by Chervon like flex and skil
I really want to know your tool budget. Thanks for the awesome content!
Seriously I've asked this before and I'll ask it again. Why release new high torques in 1/2inch and leave 3/4inch to age when the torque in these new impacts better suit 3/4 drive
Whenever hercules releases theirs, please do a review.
It's already out!
@@redeyedfreaks in stores?
I bet the DCF961 with a 3/4" adapter could still beat the rest of them!
Ow man. They already dead!
Nathan took 'right to repair' and turned it all the way up to 'right to ruggedize'.
Nobody embarrasses big brands the way that ttc does there was probably a meeting with yelling and papers flying
5:13 paw patrol🤣🤣🤣
Have you test LAGATUNS 3/4 impact wrench yet . I bought 2 of them came with 1x 6ah battery . Have DW DCF900 bought 2 of them but not dcf961 yet
Dork test channel is da bestest
Would be fun to compare the Parkside impact that we have here in Europe by Lidl store. It claims 1300Nm for abt 180 usd. I have one and it performs really good. Would love to see how it compares to other cheapos 😁
I’m lost for words by the dewalt what do I do I have the Milwaukee half-inch with the 12.0 battery but that Dewalt slaps it in the face how do I get my Milwaukee to make that kind of power?
Do you have Lidl stores in the Amerikastan so you can try Parkside tools?
What about milwaukee new lineup brushless like 2666 high torque and 2686 angle grinder compare to std fuel milwaukee 👏🏽
Heimerdinger mains where u at? 4:30
Plz plz testbtge new ridgid 3/4
Gasoline impacts just became obsolete...lol.Are you watching Alaska Railroad?.
Best line to subscribe and enable notifications at the end of the video. Lol
Can you guys start posting torta results?
Love your comments
I don’t even own a 3/4 socket… why am I here…
Meh, nvm… tis good content
Is that SeeSii, Chris from Westchester County?
DewTEC
kicks in
I think you should try a FLEX 24V on that dcf961 and supercharge that beast, see what it can do!😂 And heck, why not try the "Top Fuel Nitrometh" treatment on a Hercules Ultra Torque or other impact, using a 60V, 80V, etc battery! It shouldn't last a long time, but it will be a good show!😂
Do you know of anyone running DeWalt tools at 24v?
@@benperkins2929 No. Check out the TTC Battery adaptors video. He tried using Flex 24v batteries on a milwaukee impact and got 20% more torque if i recall right. So doing it on dcf961 would just be stupid powerful
Can you try the seesii wh760
Humdinger is such a funny word. I laugh every time.
Does anyone know if i can convert my milwaukee 1" non d handle to 3/4 in
Negative
Come sii sii and give me a humdinger 😅 nothing hits like a good humdinger!!!!
Can you imagine a bolt requiring 1000lbf . I mean i'm sure there is an application for that somewhere in construction... but it's not going to be that common
You'd be surprised. A 17mm might break at 300 ft lbs installing but can require well above 800 to remove 20 years of rust later
It’s incredibly common when working on commercial motor vehicles.
17mm @800 seems like that would just spin the nut or snap the bolt 😄I mean ive stripped metric treads on a stud at 100 @@TorqueTestChannel
@HappyHands. People really are stuck in the mindset that we're tightening threads. See 15min here th-cam.com/video/yvCznz3G4Fg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=orEar-uuUfIFmVpt
Often you're fighting a rust weld between the bolt head and the part. No threads being used until that's overcome.
Any heavy equipment, farm/construction/mining/forestry.
test more 3/4 air tools
My favorite channel
Did you know SeeSii also sells RF equipment? 😂
Temu, the harbor freight of the internet.
*It's The Humdinger, as coined by Project Farm.
I believe that you fellers are cool. Cool as cool beans.
Any plans to test a 2967 on 24v? I've been running it like this for months and I'm certain it's making over 1k. It could even outshine the dcf961.
😂😂😂😂 hahaha
It really flatlines even before 900 the milwaukee 2967 don't think it would make it to 1000 in 15 sec
The dcf961 on 24v would be a monster
e5216 I have since removed serval big truck lugs now the dcf961 at work couldn't move and tightened a pinion crush sleeve the 961 couldn't so I already know it out performs the dewalt on 24v . It will be interesting to put numbers to it though.
Did you watch the test of the test of the 2767 going from 800 to 970 on the flex? That is 20+% gain. On the 2967 that would yield 1100 which seems about right based on my experiences with the 961 as a comparison. The whole vtec thing is really annoying when you need the extra power, sitting there letting it hammer for 3 seconds before anything happens, especially when you have to do it over and over on a set of lug nuts. I can have an entire wheel off with the 2967 before the 961 has 2 nuts loose. I like the 961 I just wish you could deactivate the low power ramp up mode on the highest setting.
@timiacobucci I have both the milwaukee and dewalt I use the milwaukee more because it lighter with plenty of power but on very stuck bolts I have to bring out the 961 much more powerful with there original batterys
Might get the 24v battery and adapters to test it out I know what your saying the vtec is bit annoying would of been better full power out the gate
Great stuff!
This makes me wonder how the DCF900 would do with the 3/4 anvil 🧐🧐
The anvil lobe profile is not the same between the two anvils. It technically works but not as it should. I’ll post some pictures of the difference as I have all three. 897 , 899 , and 900
Just posted a vid today showing this exact combo. 897 anvil on a 900.
@EnufOdis I just watched. That's some good info
Metabo, made with steel not plastic. Buy once.
I don't think I have seen a SKIL brand on this channel.
Try the search function. We have 3-4 of them
