The Non-Canon Expert looks at how some examples of the Clone troopers, both prior and during Order 66, demonstrate how Order 66 could've been a failure, and explains how this failure was prevented by Darth Sidious.
This is a Legends story for Order 66, the Clone troopers, and Darth Sidious with information found within the Legends novel Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader and issue #81 of the Legends Star Wars: Republic comic series. I hope that you enjoy it!

The Reading Club has finally RETURNED!!!!
Old Name was better tbh
I remember a clone trooper named Able, also known as BL-1707, CT-1707, and finally Able-1707. He fought for the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars under Jedi General Shaak Ti's command. After being stranded on the planet Lubang Minor when his gunship was shot down, he eventually joined the Alliance to Restore the Republic. During the Galactic Civil War, he encountered Imperial stormtroopers on Lubang Minor and mistook them for clone troopers. He revealed himself but was fired upon. Able joined the Rebel Alliance after meeting Luke Skywalker, who introduced himself as a Jedi General. Able later joined Alliance Intelligence and adopted the name "Able" instead of using the numeric part of his clone designation. Despite Skywalker not being an actual general, Able addressed him as one due to his familiarity with all Jedi being generals during the Clone Wars. I wonder if Able told to Luke stories about Anakin's during the Clone Wars. In my head canon he did. 😁
In canon the clones regard palpatine as Sidious which implies the only one who can give the command is palpatine himself, no one else.
That one Jedi in a comic: hold my Jedi mind trick
Correction: Luminara Unduli wasn’t on the Jedi Council and therefore was not a Jedi High General
he is back wow! its been ages. welcome back!
Awesome video dude. Happy to see you back at it. You are still my favorite Star Wars TH-camr.
For Masters Shryne and Chatak, even though she blew it as soon as Vader showed up.
Aw lawd, hes back. Happy to see you back.
Glad to see you back with more content! We’re still here and we still love legends!
I've been waiting for this notification
I always hated the biochips. It completely undid the point of the clones being conditioned to be loyal to a fault. But then again Filoni’s show undid a lot of the Legends prequel content, especially Mandalore.
I agree... Dave destroyed so much of what made the clone wars important and cool don't even get me started on grievous
I used to have that opinion, but I have since grown to like the inhibitor chips for a few reasons. First, they help to reinforce the fact that the entire Clone Wars were a Sith plan from the beginning. Second, they allow the clones to be sympathetic characters without compromising ROTS, and allows for character arcs like we see with Crosshair, Wrecker, and Rex. Finally, it allows us to see that some of the clones regret what they had to do like Cody. I would say that the inhibitor chips are not necessarily a bad addition to the cannon.
@@DanTheTH-camAddict go read the Darth Plaguis novel and the Republic Commando novels, then let me know what you still think of the show
@@DanTheTH-camAddict I like the chips to a point as well I just don't like the fact that they killed a Jedi before ROTS and none of the jedi thought something was up with that.
Fair enough. I respectfully disagree, but isn't the fun of such a great franchise like this that we can have polite debates like this?
I knew Murkhana was going to be mentioned when i saw the video title
Swrc back in force
Clones having more depth than any character in the new trilogy.
WTF!?! I MISSED YOU!!!
Yeah, and I bet the Jedi (for the most part) were unaware of what those ACTS actually meant. Total blind side for them
So, there could have been some confusion in more CTs l, even with the chip, if those acts weren't passed.
Thank you for the content!
Is Star Wars Reading Club from Canada?
The voice commands for control chips seems like a bad idea if you think about it for more than 5 seconds lol. There’s a few times where other people use the “orders” and it is almost comical if you don’t think about their brains being overridden. They use orders 66 on some of Vader’s hold over 501st clones
I personally prefer the biochip explanation. It honestly makes way more sense to me. It does not make sense to me that every clone, chain of command clarity or not, could turn so easily and without question against their closest ally. Without the chips I imagine it would have played out much closer to how it played out on umbara when krell ordered the execution of the clones who betrayed his orders. With chips explains why it was so quick, so effortless, and why all the clones followed the order and not just the one who received it.
Luminara was never a high council member
I always comment to help push these videos in the algorithm due to the engagement. You should also do the same, everyone. If not for MEEEEEeeeeeEEEEE...for a well-structured chain of command that will definitely never come back to haunt the Jedi.
Yay! One comment for the chain of command!
I love when you put out these videos, so why not leave a like and a comment? If not for MEEeeEEEeeeeEEee...
👍
Legends > Disney
Always
Calling it Legends over the Expanded Universe? Fake fan spotted
@@reebonorton4175 It factually is the Legends, are you that lacking in intelligence? Legends is true Star Wars, doesn't change its title, "Legends" which doesn't mean anything.
You calling out people for using the correct modern term while they still understand it's better than Disney?
Fake fan spotted 😂
That is why I prefer legends instead of canon.
Agreed EU aka Legends is superior
