    It really makes you feel for the clones as they were fighting a war that a good majority of them didn’t know why they were fighting other than being told it was for the Republic, only to be tossed aside once their usefulness ended. I admire those, like Captain Rex, who were able to figure out they were fighting a lie.

    • @thalmoragent9344
      @thalmoragent9344 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah, they fought in a war that was manufactured on both sides
      Insane how they were abandoned even though being imperial troops would've been a great boon for the Empire's early reign.

    Captain Rex hands down is my favorite clone trooper of all time. I mean let's face it he even made it to the Battle of endor fighting alongside another Jedi "Luke Skywalker" the son of his original leader like he used to! # Rex Rules!!

    Stories about clones always seem soul crushingly sad... Rex and cody plus delta squad, fives... So many amazing stories.. Its no wonder people go wild seeing them is beyond the clone war era.. (i.e clones marching with empire officers in early empire depictions)... Its as yoda said in ep 1 "within the force you all are very different"

      Clones were extremely rare in the Ranks of the Empire, and it was pretty quick after the execution of Order 66 that they were outright banned from the Empire’s ranks.
      Clones were not mistreated out of fear because of them “Marching with imperial officers.” They were mistreated because most saw them as trash, obsolete Bio-Weapons that strained the system by stealing food and resources from Real humans and other Real organic races and species of the galaxy.
      Nobody wanted to give Clones anything because they only existed to fight and die against droids.

    The Clones all have their own unique personalities that separate each other. Build a good relationship with the Jedi's they fought side by side with. None of them knew that they're being use by the Sith Lord to kill the Jedi's. Rex once said 'I used to believe that being a good soldier meant doing everything they told you. That’s how they engineered us. But we’re not droids. We’re not programmed. You have to learn to make your own decisions.' Before the Clone Wars, those who saw Revenge of the Sith in theaters thought the Clones were just cold-blooded after they killed their Jedi Generals. But learning about the inhibitor chips change that. And Fives would've saved his brothers and the Republic from Palpatine's dark plan. But after the war, they all quickly get toss aside as if they're nothing more but toys.

    Can't say who's my favorite but it'd have to be one of the republic commandos, scorch broke the fourth wall and it blew my little kid mind like "ohh fuck scorch asking existential questions here" also as for order 66 I always felt it was a mix of doing what you're told because it's what you want to do and doing it because you have no free will in the situation and the latter really broke my heart to think about.

      Well…. I get that showing someone who looks like someone of Latin descent is good for inclusivity in our own world… but earth doesn’t exist in Star Wars…. It’s not even our galaxy….
      “Long Ago, in a Galaxy ***Far, Far Away…”***
      That’s what every movie and show stars with. Technically, Mexicans don’t exist in that galaxy because Earth doesn’t exist in that Galaxy and therefore Mexico doesn’t exist in that Galaxy.
      You can’t call Finn an African or British in the context of Star Wars because Africa and britain don’t exist in the Star Wars Galaxy.
      You can’t say that Rey is British either because even though she sounds British in the movies…. Britain doesn’t exist in Star Wars…. So theres no such thing as a British person.

    • @tristankawatsuma8962
      @tristankawatsuma8962 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      First of all, a clear sign that this wouldn’t be a good idea for the Canon version of these characters is that Canon Jango Fett only cared for Boba and saw the other clones as just being part of the job, nothing to really do with him. Secondly in Legends, Jango and the Mandalorian trainers seemed to take special interest in the ARC Troopers and Clone Commandos due to them being made more independent-minded. While in Canon things seem more even between the special forces and regular clones on independent thinking, groups like the Bad Batch would most certainly get special treatment. This would make the regular clones resent the Bad Batch even more than they do in Canon. There were also tensions between regular clones and commandos, usually due to the latter getting more Mandalorian training. All in all, I think only the Bad Batch and many be other special forces would benefit from Jango’s leadership. I could see a divide grow between the special forces and regular troopers though as Jango always praises the special forces, having them be the ones who turn the tide in battles. That’s basically what Mandalorian Supercommandos do. They are the elites who look down upon “weaker” warriors.

    Just another example of Star Wars writers needlessly complicating the simplest things. Just turn the Clonetroopers into Stormtroopers. That's it. Easiest set up in the world.
    It makes way more sense than this overly complicated stupidity.
    George Lucas gave everyone a reason why the Empire had endless Stormtroopers at their disposal with the reveal of the Clones in Episode2. That's way more terrifying. Instead, every writer after Lucas in the old EU and the current continuity has bent over backwards to make the Stormtroopers and Clonetroopers seperate. And it just makes no sense how the Empire could have their gigantic, endless, highly disposable army of the same humanoid people, with the same height, weight, build, voice, attitudes, abilities, and has enough human conscripts to patrol every single sector of this gigantic galaxy while still being able to replace the number that die after battles with Rebels.
    To this day, I have no idea why disney didn't correct this and just make them the same. If writers were worried about making the clones look weaker thanks to the reputation of incompetence the Stormtroopers built up in the OT, just say the ability to perfectly clone Jango had degraded over time thanks to Palpatine's over use. Palpatine valued the quantities mass murder machines he had rather than quality, so he gave no fucks. There, I've streamlined everything.
