War treats everyone the same, but it is somehow more digestable when some experienced soldier talks about it, or someone who was closer to fight in his previous life. Listening to some regular IT guy about his struggles as a soldier is something different. Maybe because it hits close to home ;) This dude reminds me very much of myself. Behavior, pre-war profession. He's not a fighter, he tries to survive. I truly wish him to live through it.

@@BigDsGaming2022 You do realize Russians quickly geolocate and fire on drone operators, right? Its one of very few jobs where you're actively broadcasting your spot, real time, and Russians shell within a couple minutes. There's footage where you see a drone operator run out of a wooded concealment, about 30 feet out, hand catch his drone, run back to cover, and 30 seconds later rounds precisely hit his landing spot. IDK if you've taken artillery daily, and had it fairly effective, but yeah...thats stressful. Only the Ukrainians shooting artillery and rockets get tracked and shelled that often.

@@СергейМонин-д7с nope, there's too much video footage to prove that false. There's no fighting in Kiev or Kryvyi Rih, both easily kilometers away from any fighting, and yet Russian cruise missiles hit them in the last two weeks. Then of course Russian media itself says, "Destroy their infrastructure," on talk shows. The problem with your propaganda is you have so many lies out there, you're certain to contradict yourself a majority of the time. "Oh a Brigade has nazis," "Oh all Ukrainians are nazis," "Oh we want to regain old Soviet land," "Oh, we are protecting Russian speakers," "Oh, it was always ours," "We don't bomb civilians," "We bomb their civilian infrastructure." It's nuts but I guess your propaganda writers are never bored or without work.

    • @pokerone6489
      @pokerone6489 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      "surrender to savagery"
You should do a bit more research as to what the SBU does to people they don't like, or how Ukraine has a civilian kill list (which contains US citizens and even a Russian child). Or maybe which side has the nazi brigades dating back to the German occupation. Or exactly WHO was shelling the Nuclear plant when the Russians were occupying it. Or which leaders cabinet is made of actors and comedians.
Yes, war is very sad and horrific, which is why Zelenski should've looked up from his tray for one second to see that not much beyond the Donbas and Luhansk regions were occupied. By surrendering these areas, and becoming a neautral buffer zone between Nato and Russia, this war could've ended a LONG time ago. But no, the TV tour around the globe, begging, groveling, pretending to display strength when his cowardice costs the lives of more and more everyday, civilian and military, Russian and Ukrainian.
But the West needs to be crippled in the process and it will, as we send billions more everyday, while some can barely afford to live back at home. We are emptying our armories across the west to delay the inevitable, and it is inevitable, I don't care how many cable news Generals tell you otherwise. Before long we will be unable to adequately supply our own forces. Do you think China or Iran will not take advantage of such an obvious weakness?
This war was not a surprise to anyone who has been paying attention for the last 8 years. Ukraine is a US protectorate that harbors insane US corruption involving Pelosi, Kerry, Byeden among others. If Russia started sending weapons into mexico and agreed to enter into a defensive pact, placing troops on our border, we would make Russia's invasion look like a training exercise in comparison.
Use logic. Not emotions. Savagery is emotional by nature.

People who volunteer for the military have it easier than this man, we know the risk, we prepare, we feed into the brainwashing necessary to fight a war, we are mentally prepared to be broken and we convince ourselves to look forward to the fight.
This man, people like him are the real heros amongst warfighters. I used to looked at people who dont volunteer for military service as selfish and cowardice, but seeing this man do his best to keep himself composed and focused on the mission is a welcomed reminder that everyone has a monster in them that they are willing to unleash when the time is right.

Young man, well educated, had a good career, all stolen -- he wants his life back as he did say.
Thanks Willy and my thoughts for your own well-being/ treatment too!
And of course to the young interviewee -- please stay safe. You'll be needed for the reconstruction.

    Powerful work.
This guy represents the young, present, tech savvy male of 2022, a demo Ukraine does well.
The mindfulness is deep, with a simple type of patriotism, yet carrying a robust righteousness in pushing all invaders out.
    Fantastic interview, solid work.

Many thanks to this young man. His candid answers are heartbreaking, knowing this could be my children or my grandchildren someday, as our leaders, like many leaders, care more about oil and gas and money than lives. I hope he knows his thoughts and words are powerful, and helpless as I am from so far away, I hold his spirit with love and pray he will someday once again have his life, and I pray the terrible wounds to his mind and heart will fade and heal. And I pray he and all of his countrymen will have good and loving people surrounding them for all their days.

I think what we see here is evidence that Ukraine will need tremendous amounts of help for restoring mental health among a traumatized population. The young male population of Ukraine will be greatly reduced even with victory. And those men who survive will have wounds both visible and invisible that might never completely heal. The support of Ukraine is only beginning. I know I am not alone in the West wanting my country to support Ukraine in every way possible. I want my country to give Ukraine enough support to end this conflict with complete victory before the end of this calendar year. I know that is almost impossible, but I want us to *try.* The Ukrainians are giving everything. We can give a lot. They fight for freedom EVERYWHERE. Glory and victory to Ukraine.

There is a line between having a family (new family from Ukraine) and being in the field as an operator or a field medic. Tough choice but it's always a choice. How to sort some sh*t up and then flying to a field to help people? Everyday I'm thinking about it...

Every Russian supporting Putin needs to dwell on his words. "We are not Nazis. We just want a normal life. Babies, jobs, houses. Normal things. This is our land." This is why the US Constitution starts on a premise of the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, without a government that denies these inalienable rights. Your leader, Putin, is denying them these rights, in your name.
    Silence is consent.

Forgive the language, but you're a fu**ing legend, Willy. A legend among legends
This is why Ukraine Will be successful: Ukrainians are fighting for their family, their homes, their freedom, and their country; Russian soldiers, however, are fighting for a monthly paycheck that always seems to bounce, and a psychotic midget & other ridiculously rich gremlins in the Kremlin, so it's little wonder many Russians just surrender or flee -- they're fighting for nothing! A soldier needs something worth fighting for &, more importantly, dying for.
    Oh, donation coming....🇬🇧🇺🇦🍺

It’s hard to watch. Normal everyday people who have just had enough of the war just want it to end so that they can get normality back to their life, and the life of their countrymen. I just can’t imagine the psychological trauma they will have to endure after all of this.
