You prolly dont care but does any of you know of a trick to get back into an instagram account..? I somehow forgot the account password. I appreciate any help you can offer me.
@Louie Gianni thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im trying it out atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
yeah if you're looking for a sharp lense for low light situations, this isn't it. but if you are looking for more of a dreamy, softer look, this is great.
I've found that it's pretty good in near dark lighting conditions. Fuji X-T3 has a great sensor to work in low light conditions. If i shoot videos in sunny day then I need to close the aperture to it's maximum at the lowest ISO. I don't have a ND filter(s) yet so it's complicated to shoot at these conditions. But when I shoot at evening it works in the other way and the kit lens with f3.5 isn't enough (also it's not bright enough, probably because it's the zoom lens) to work with. Here Meike 25 1.8 saves me with some careful work of hands )) One big minus: it doesn't have any stabilization included as it's fully manual. I think that it would be great to have a version with AF and a good OIS for a good competitive (to Fujinons) price.
6:20 - it's a bit strange because in about the same aperture (1.8-2.2) I get a rounded bokeh pattern (it's a kind of "twists" it closer to sides). Looks like you've shoot it on a different lens :) Maybe they've changed something, IDK.
I've bought this lens for my GH5 few weeks ago. I'm okay with quality for that price for the video. But agree with you at lower f/2.8 it's not sharp that me me a little disappoint for this lens for photography.
At this price point it couldn’t be the best lens at all. I personally prefer the 28 from Meike ist ist a really good lens not just for the price but it could be that I just had luck and got a good copy 🤔
Bought this with the Meike extension tube set, made for a decent cheapo macro lens. Of course, at max the left and right edges get a bit of chromatic aberration, but I usually won't need to use the whole frame so it's good enough.
@@tobyhorn6643 Sure, here ya go: imgur.com/a/oevcXFi I took the first shot handheld, and the other two on a tripod. The second shot really brings out the chromatic aberration.
I also wanted to try out meike lenses as they look nice and cheaper than many of sony lenses. how did meike send you the lens? did you contact them or something? just curious :) nice video by the way.
That’s hard. You need a short focal length, that your shutter speed could be as long as possible. I don’t know any short focal length with an aperture of 1.8 for this price point. F2.0 ist all ready well, but there you only have the Samyang/ Rokinon 12mm but this cost about $300. the cheapest alternativ would be the 7artisans 12mm f2.8, it cost about $150 and you loose one more step of light. You find an review for this lens at my channel. At all I’m guessing you’ll use an Apsc camera
I don't know why reviewers give picture samples instead of video samples. Manual lenses are used mostly by videographers because most autofocus lenses are focus-by-wire which means they can't get consistent focus racking. There should have been a video sample at least.
@@tobyhorn6643 I was considering to buy it but now I know it's not sharp at 1,8 so I'm looking again. Probably I'll end up getting Fujinon 23mm 1,8 which is ten times more expensive but at least tack sharp abd has an autofocus. I need something wide and fast.
wide enough but too dark. I think 23 mm f2 or 18 mm f2 would be the best choice particularly 18 mm which is kinda pancake and not so hellishly expensive like 23 mm.
Hab zwar nichts verstanden aber ich glaube es war Englisch? Ne Spaß 😂😉 I think it is a really nice lens on a budget! Great Video Toby, keep on the great work💪
What are your thought about this lens? Let me know in the comments down below!

@Louie Gianni it did the trick and I now got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thanks so much you saved my account!
@Ian Aryan Happy to help :)
Hello!! Can I use this lens for vlogging?
Yes, but it would be a bit tight and you don’t have autofocus
Thanks for the review

Yes it isn’t the most sharpest lens available

Better this meike or lumix 25mm? In terms of residence flares and front lights?
Since I don’t test the lumix I couldn’t give you an answer.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. Do you show some pics online which you shoot with this combo

I contact them. But but my main channel had a couple hundred subs when they first worked with me,
Thank you
Can i use it on canon 77d?
I don’t know if there is a EF Mount Version. I only tested the version von the Sony e mount.
what cheap f1.8 e mount lens would you recommend for astrophotography?
What is your definition for cheap?
@@tobyhorn6643 less than 100$

Can you put a follow focus on this lens?? I mean because the threads on the focus ring aren't continous. Thanks.
I never tested it, but I’m pretty sure that it won’t work. The threads aren’t continuous as you mentioned and the focus ring isn’t round at all

Thanks for this feedback, I will consider to show at least one video sample in my future reviews!
Plenty of stills shooters use manual lenses what’re your talking about?
It’s a cheap, fast lens for a start...
Seriously, do you make all that BS up yourself, or do you have help? Plenty of photographers use manual focus, especially the pros.
I agree that it's great for the price.
Exactly
Is it available in Sony E mount?
Yes, in the video I’ve tested it at my sony a6000
That’s like the first thing he said lol.
Please tell me how to use it with my Nikon d7500 coz I haven't seen any nikon version of it
If there is no nikon version you sadly cant use it on your camera and have to search for an other lens.
I used 35mm f1.7 and 22mm f2 for street photography
I never had any of those in my hands, but great that you like them! Meike produce many nice lenses
Thanks
Its my pleasure if you liked it!

With the Sony E there is an 16mm f1.8 I think, maybe there is also an Version for your mount
I use Melke lens on my Fujifilm cameras and have been very happy with them
Which meike lens do you use ?
Is it work with fujifilm xt100 ?? Plz rply
I´m not sure if there is a Fuji mount available

Yes Englisch 😜
Exactly, also if the 28mm is a better choice.
Thank you!
my opinion my opinion who else :-)
👌🏼😎
I bought it , it sucks...don't buy this. Not even close to the meike 35mm 1.4
Your video is good and well explained.
thanks for the feedback. Sad to hear that you had a bad experience.
fix your audio ;-)
Thanks for the advice. But this video is not my standard anymore 😉
The focusing and aperature rings should be tighter - too easy to move by mistake!!
