Today's video I am sharing my Strawberry Shortcake Poke Cake recipe so come along and bake the best strawberry cake with me!

What's For Dessert ?
Strawberry Shortcake Poke Cake Recipe
1 box white cake mix -plus ingredients for cake mix
1 box strawberry jello -3oz - 2 cups water
1 8oz container of cool whip
1 box instant vanilla pudding 3.4oz -plus 2 cups of milk
*Optional- 2 pounds of strawberries
Bake cake according to box directions using a 9x13 inch pan.
While cake is cooking, prepare vanilla pudding according to package directions.
Let cake cool for 30 minutes.
Poke holes in cake.
Prepare jello according to package directions.
Pour jello evenly over cake.
*Optional- Pour 1 pound of pureed strawberries over jello.
Mix vanilla pudding & cool whip and put on top of cake.
*Optional- Place 1 pound of sliced strawberries on top of cake
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before eating.
Enjoy the cake!!!
Store leftovers in refrigerator.

Looks delicious…It has similar characteristics to a Christmas/summer desert we have here in Australia called “Trifle” it has sponge layers with jelly ,fruit, custard and cream.

Thank you very much looks delicious! Why does the cake not turn into mush when you saturated with the strawberry Jell-O concoction? Do you refrigerate the cake for a certain amount of time before you begin to cut? Also, where are you from? I love your accent.
