She had a congenital heart defect, pulmonary hypertension, congestive heart failure, diabetes, and yet she was always taking care of everyone else. I met my husband at the age of 14 at a Church Christmas party that he told his parents and sister he wasn't going to. He was a rebel. He grew up in the church because his dad was a pastor. Wh may had been together 6 months and he told me loved me. That was 46 yrs ago. We have been married now for 43 yrs this past June. His love amazes me because he has stuck by me thru so much. I miss my amazing blue- eye man with brown hair that used to be strawberry blonde.
Circa 1997 my wife and I attended an event where John and his band performed. It was a smaller venue to where you could literally walk up to the stage and he would gently shake your hand while he played. I’ve seen over a hundred artists over the years but he is a class act and his concert was as good as this one song is! Fight the fight John! I am dealing with something similar- music is good for the soul!

I've loved this song since I first heard it in the early 90s. Had it played at my wedding. I'm now 30 years later sitting here crying over the loss of my baby girl golden retriever who was mauled by the neighbor dogs and succumbed to her injuries. :'( Then John Berry comes on the radio with this song. After 28 years with my wife, she passed away in 2016. She had a congenital heart defect, pulmonary hypertension, congestive heart failure, diabetes, and yet she was always taking care of everyone else. Like it says in the song, I prayed for healing that never happened in my eyes. Her love always amazed me even when we had major issues in our marriage.
