A long time ago my young daughter and I stood in line 3 hours so my daughter could get Lorrie Morgan's autograph and a picture taken with her at Fan Fest in Nashville. She was my daughters favorite singer and the only performer we were willing to stand that long in line for.

No she does not miss Keith. She was in a relationship less than 2 months after his death. She's been married 6 times and burned though a bunch of relationships. Keith was her 2nd marriage.
When I worked Country radio back then, the story was that Lorrie would tie a string from her foot to Keith's, so when he tried to get up and drink, she would know. When Keith died, we were all devastated. All of Country music was devastated.

It didn't matter what it was he would drink mouth wash just to get that alcohol. He started drinking way back in his younger years though & it just progressed. But I tell u this it never had a bad impact on his singing or picking because to me he still holds the top spot of best vocalist of all time. He did ask Lorri not to go on tour but she had a career of her own too, she wasn't going to to go & he told her just go ahead & go, guess he figured it wasn't right to stop her career for his habits but she had a bad feeling the entire time. He had just spoke to his mom that day & his brother. I believe it was his brother-in-law who found him dead not long after that. Which is strange, considering he had a new album coming out, he was promoting it & he had a baby boy & had adopted amorgan Lori's daughter plus he sounded just fine bout an hour before he was found.

My youngest son who is 36 has fought demons all his life 3 months ago we found out the reason.........he has Bi-Polar syndrome he is now on medication but it`s still a huge struggle for him and his family !!!!!!!! when i watched the Keith & Lorrie documentary i can see the same patterns with my son !!!!! this song just floors me i`m in bits !!!! When I worked Country radio back then, the story was that Lorrie would tie a string from her foot to Keith's, so when he tried to get up and drink, she would know. When Keith died, we were all devastated. All of Country music was devastated.
oriolesandravens that's so true she did absolutely tie s string vor rope around her ankle to his so she would know when he got up. It didn't matter what it was he would drink mouth wash just to get that alcohol. He started drinking way back in his younger years though & it just progressed. But I tell u this it never had a bad impact on his singing or picking because to me he still holds the top spot of best vocalist of all time. He did ask Lorri not to go on tour but she had a career of her own too, she wasn't going to to go & he told her just go ahead & go, guess he figured it wasn't right to stop her career for his habits but she had a bad feeling the entire time. He had just spoke to his mom that day & his brother. I believe it was his brother-in-law who found him dead not long after that. Which is strange, considering he had a new album coming out, he was promoting it & he had a baby boy & had adopted amorgan Lori's daughter plus he sounded just fine bout an hour before he was found.
it wasn't a string it was the tie to her bathrobe and it still did not stop him
maybe if it had hurt his singing people would have paid attention but his brain wa affected he couldn't stop on his own and you have to want help Lorrie could not force him
the family never said a bad word on her why should the public the family was there the public was not
So sad that she felt she had to that. Heartbreaking.

My youngest son who is 36 has fought demons all his life 3 months ago we found out the reason.........he has Bi-Polar syndrome he is now on medication but it`s still a huge struggle for him and his family !!!!!!!! when i watched the Keith & Lorrie documentary i can see the same patterns with my son !!!!! this song just floors me i`m in bits !!!! I hope they find the correct medication for him before it`s too late as was for Keith.....

I love lorrie Morgan's music but just listened never had any backround on her.I heard her singing this yesterday my elderly mother was listing to the country music songs on you tube I was leaving to go to the store.I thought it was a duet with a Male singer Keith Whitley but looking at the hair.The first time I heard a song by Lorrie Morgan As good as I was to you a few weeks before my brothers death May 8 1998.Anyway came back home forgot about the song till about an hour ago so I looked up duet Lorrie Morgan Keith Whitley and this popped up but no duet then just got done watching a documentary about Keith Whitley read they were married he passed May 9 1989 due to alcohol poisoning.Im baffled his brother in law comes over he is sober drinking coffee ab hr later he is dead so he drank 20 shots in an hour then passed out and died. But I heard Keith Whitley and omg how sad his voice hands down may be one of the best no not may it is and I like all of you have heard a lot. God bless her and her family. Her song on Greater Need Back Among the living Again I listened to after my brothers death.9 years and 1 day after Keith Whitley's death.My brother suicide God bless
