I know everyone has their own take on certain songs, but me and my late wife told each other for 14yrs that we couldn't imagine living without each other then Blake and Gwen came out with this song and I am so happy that I was able to sing it to my beautiful bride the last couple of days of her life after being diagnosed with late stage 4 lung cancer, thank you Blake and Gwen I will cherish this song for eternity.
This is "the song" for married couples who have got past all the bad stuff, by choosing to do the right thing, loving each other more in the end than the beginning. Having eyes only for each other. It does exist with the right people and the grace of God. I am thankful for mine.

July 2024...we've been married almost 39 years. Two great kids, now adults. I've had serious medical issues, chronic pain condition, nearly died twice a few years ago. All the “old well known singers she adored & you were not born then undoubtedly ha! & I was little myself, born in western Ma. My mom played the piano( donated her time last 30 yrs of her life & I drove her to her “gigs”🤣she called it, vet hospitals, rest homes, senior ctrs., Alzheimer’s units etc in area playing the piano ( written up in area newspapers & her obituary) for she & I adored our vets ( always played patriotic songs from each branch of service, for each performance no matter where she played. She played the Carillon Tower here at Stanley Park, in Westfield, Ma( few in whole USA qualified to do that, USA Today reported in their newspaper a few yrs ago but my mom, proudly, was one of them!) but mom loved our vets & “the elderly, as I did too & now I ( hard to believe 🤣) am one!( yuck!) Ha! Sucks to be called “Senior citizen but then again I am blessed for many do not make it!🤣 My mother & father divorced when I was 10 so back to western Ma we came with my six brother & sisters we came, to move in with our beloved “Nana!” Mom had her hundreds of country ( she called them country & western Ha!) albums she came, playing music all the time. I would come home from school to country music playing. Anyway, I will be honest Blake... my sisters loved country but not I. I never cared for it quite honestly ( I lived the Motown Sound but mom bought that for me ,too) until.....” YOU CAME ON THE SCENE!” I listened to your song 🎶 back then , bought it( first fur me & my mom was so happy that “YOU BROUGHT ME INTO THE COUNTRY MUSIC 🎼 FOLD”🎵so to speak,🤣for I first heard that song at my mom’s! My mom had all your albums playing you nonstop later on( CD’s) & so did I. You got me to listen to country music & love it( my husband too)!! This particular song isn’t really country though. It doesn’t make it country just because Blake’s singing. It’s actually very pop...which is why it sounds catchy. It sounds closer to stuff Gwen did years ago.

July 2024...we've been married almost 39 years. Two great kids, now adults. I've had serious medical issues, chronic pain condition, nearly died twice a few years ago.
