Baby metal is a great live performance band. They came to Columbus OH and without all the spectacle lights ad lasers and stage decorations. They still had an amazing performance! Amazing musicians in the back. Beautiful singing.
It’s no secret that I’m still a massive Tool fan, but I also don’t really care if anyone hates them lol. I did always love the band name though, because the whole meaning behind it was that their music was intended to be a ‘tool’ to help you in your life in whatever way that it may.
Honestly the name TOOL is what initially drew me into the band. It's just so simple and memorable. You just hear it and start to wonder what their music sounds like. Kinda the same thing with System Of A Down.
I always thought BTBAM was more a figure of speech, referring to something secret and unspoken, as in “that’s just between you and me, ok?”. So secrets between me and the dead.
Nice Evergrey shirt BTW. They have always been underrated. Bought "Dark Discovery" , And Oceans first album and ANATA'S "Infernal Depths of Hatred" (one of my favorite melodic death albums of all time) All in the Virgin records in the Louvre in Paris. One of the best Trifecta album purchases I've ever made. Cheers!
I just paused the Deathwhite album to catch this video (awesome band with an awesome name). This was fun, and introduces the idea of psychological priming to music . Similar to the idea where we "eat with our eyes" or "judge books by their covers", I think names are insanely important, and prime the listener prior to hearing any music. Streaming has made hearing something, before you know the artist's name, much more of a rarity these days. It used to be that you had to wait for the next 2 songs to complete before the DJ would tell you what you just listened to.
I saw Callous Daoboys opening for Light The Torch and Avatar last year and I was pleasantly surprised. Not usually my type of metal but their show kicked ass.
Unleash the Archers would be a terrible name IF they weren't power metal. PM is inherently cheeseball galore so it actually fits. Fun video btw. The Tool hate warms my heart.
Maybe from the sky would be clever. Unto others was on my top five for last year. I keep making my kids listen to the record. You guys are great, keep up the great content.!
Was thinking that Imperial Circus Dead Decadence would be a good pick for this list instead of Babymetal, name sounds gibberish as hell, and it also has a heavy anime aesthetic, but its mainly symphonic death metal maybe you guys should do a review on their 2022 full length

Alternative metal band from Denmark DIZZY MIZZ LIZZY has pretty fkn terrible band name. Their latest album Alter Echo is a one beautiful and truly melancholic album though. If you're into late 90's to early 2000's Anathema, this is definitely for you.
i don't personally enjoy Baby Metal's music, but theyre good for the Japanese metal scene. If you listen to them and get curious about other Japanese metal bands, then youll eventually stumble onto Aldious, Nemophila, Bridear, Mary's Blood, and Lovebites, among many many others. I doubt ill ever be a Baby Metal fan, but ill keep supporting what they do if their music introduces more people to Japan's metal scene

Love TOOL, they'll probably always be my favorite band, but yeah, they aren't really relevant anymore. Their last album kinda sucked, honestly. I love the name. I love the simplicity of it. I love that it's vaguely juvenile. I love that they convinced their fans to wear wrench dick Tshirts that label themselves as Tools. It's a clever, funny band name that works for me. Their first 4 records are basically flawless masterpieces though.
Ice Nine Kills last 2 records are of the horror movie genre but the album before that, every trick in the book, is all based on literature and the stuff they released before that are pure scene screamo. And of course the very first EP they recorded was a ska album under the name Ice Nine.. there new stuff is kinda cringe but The Burning and Safe is Just a Shadow is legendary.. just sayin
I love the NAME Callous Daoboys, lol... but I just can't get in to the music. The mind-numbingly dumb lyrics alone just take me right out of it. Most of the actual music is alright tho Nicholas Cage Fighter is easily one of the most fire names and bands on the list. Super underrated band and album! Tool's not relevant anymore? They sell out arenas. Go look at all the reaction videos on You Tube of people falling in love with them. Specifically hip hop heads. The word "Tool" as an insult is outdated. If they're not your cup of tea I understand. I dislike country music but that doesn't negate the talent of country music artists. I love metal with guttural vocals too. But I also love classic rock and Tool bridges that gap for me. Usually when I see people criticize Tool I report them to Homeland Security. But I'm gonna let you guys slide. :)

I don't generally listen to groups where goofy lyrics, stage presentation or names are common (other than the cheese that Power Metal is known for), so maybe my tolerance is low. As good as a band as they are, Fvneral Fvkk has a name SO INCREDIBLY STUPID that I don't want to tell others about them, even though their Carnal Confessions album is great.
