I have the SP, by far the nicest Ute interior. No tacky gimmicks, clean lines, super comfy seats. Manual handbrake, nice and reliable when in remote areas. If you put bigger tyres on, you'll be pushing over 10L/100km. Add a bull bar and its at 11L/100km haha.... but under 10L on the highway if not going over 100km/hr. I also have the +300Kg GVM from old man emu, it's excellent! The Ute feels so much more premium amd solid.

Nar I don’t think it’s all cars, mainly 4wds and other popular vehicles that have been grossly inflated. You can still buy a brand new CX3 for under $30k. I guess small cars aren’t popular enough to rip their customers off atm.

Utes used to only roll on 4-cyls with way lower hp, can't remember anyone complaining back then.
So no, a V6 is NOT a must because not everyone would even tow at all.

That's a decent review. One benefit of the highway tyres is the excellent braking power. Less than 39 metres from 100 km/h makes quite a few dual cab Utes look very silly. My internet search suggests that the Ford Ranger is in the mid 40's....

EV9 weighs 2.6t and stops in 36m. Rangers/Raptors stopping in the 45m range are plain dangerous.

Had my sp since mid 2023. Over my previous landcruiser. I love it and family loves it. But do agree with the all the reviews about the tech. It’s clunky but works. My Mrs new Kia seltos is far advanced in many way. But I didn’t buy a Ute for tech. Although it has a fair amount. Overall from a tear ownership I love the car, it pulls like a bull. Tows my boat like a dream and is as smooth as a baby’s bxx. My biggest issue is the sun visors. The internal glue/plastic mold that holds it in place melted away on mine and now the visors just fall and swing. Mazda/izudu have agreed it’s a design fault. I live in the nt so yea it hot. But my hiace is from the 90s and visors are great. Been waiting for warranty from Mazda for 9 months now

    Love the way these look.
It’s a bit disappointing that they didn’t have the newer stereo and cluster like the 2024 DMAX
I guess Isuzu have the right to have these as exclusive updates.

Great review. Though I don't particularly like the look of it, the fuel economy seems excellent and seems to drive really well. However for a little extra money I'll go for the V6 Style Amarok.

Got my GT brand new for 55k, 15k on the ODO and loving it so far. If you’re having a hard time choosing between an SP or GT and unsure. I’d save the 20k and get aftermarket accessories, not much difference between the SP and GT other than you get dark brown leather seats in the GT

I have one and I hate it. Cup holders are useless. Braking system can’t be turned off and is actually dangerous. Braked heavily on me going down a drive way ffs. Feels flimsy. Random lag sometimes when trying to take off which is also dangerous. Purchased for a quick tax relief a couple of years ago, I have the SP model

might be worth checking if Mazda have any "software updates" (i.e. if they can flash the computers with improved"tunes").

  • @mumbachabwe8881
    @mumbachabwe8881 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

Upon reviewing the updates, I'm not seeing any significant changes that would warrant a purchase. The suspension upgrade is a notable improvement, but I'm still unclear on what other changes have been made that would make me consider buying this Ute. Can you please highlight what specific updates or features have been added that would sway my decision? Great Review though

Mazda should make an MU-X clone. Granted, that’d cannibalise sales from their new SUV line-up, but I reckon a “BT-60” would be nice.

Mazda B3000 had the v6, there is a reason why mazda is doing away with v6 engines and running straight inline 4 and inline 6 engines, a Mazda vehicle will give you what you require from it power and enough torque on demand, it's a manufacturing company that's there not to please everyone but has its own people and market

Mazda was unable to include the Kodo design on this ute because the body was designed and built by Isuzu. So.... Kodo design left for other models.
A signature of the Kodo design is a lack of body lines and there are plenty here.

This ute, and all that have come before it even now with it basically being a DMAX, is not worth the money by a long way, get a SR5 or a Tritan, id even buy a T-50 over one of these, also considering its referred to as an "underdog" at 68k is crazy.
