People like you, you are doing the best tourist promotion of the Croatian coast in the world in the luxury segment. You do it superbly and with quality, with your professional job as a captain on a yacht better than the people who are paid for it ... Thank you for that
For some reason, your video today was spectacular. It could be the camera, the destination or just being onboard AWOL with the crew. Thanks so much for sharing Captain Tristan.
I'm not going to talk about the video, it's on top, as usual. The Awol is a truly splendid boat. I have already seen every corner of the Awol and yet I still like to walk everywhere on this Yacht thanks to Tristan.👍👍
Your not the only one who thinks Croatia is the place to be during summer....my wife and I love it SO much! Stunning scenery everywhere! Unfortunately this summer we had to stay in Denmark....but we'll sure be back next year! 🇭🇷❤
Croatia is gorgeous. The entire Dalmatian Coast ls. Great videos. AWOL looks to be in prime shape. I miss that area. If you get to a village called Cavtat, give it a wave for me.
Hello From Canada. Love your videos, I wish more superyachts visited our small town so i could film them with my drone like your work. Cant wait to see more of your videos.
Crew tips included in the raffle tickets I think is great news. I would imagine that most ticket buyers are not from mega money and it was something I had thought about before buying. How do you compensate the crew for such a high level of service on average type earnings? Was good to know. I can relax a bit more if I were to win. Dream stuff for working stiffs.
You definitely got the focus bank on with this Vlog, Tristan wonderful scenery and beautiful locations, look forward to seeing the " Fleet" moored up together Big Thumbs up on this one ^^^
Great video as always and Croatia looks stunning. Was supposed be there for a week in July driving from Split to Dubrovnik . Watching this showing what we have missed. Look forward to the next video of all boats together
I love being able to find the city you are in using Google Maps, satellite view. In this video, I believe you start out in Pucisca, just by finding corresponding landmarks. (Sorry. I'm a map nerd.)
Captain, I always love/look forward to your vlog and upbeat personality! Keep up the fantastic inside view of super yachting! BUT... lol I cringe every time I hear the following... "downstairs", "upstairs" and "driving the boat". In my yachting days we were taught early on to use the following terms instead... "down below", top side" and "piloting the boat/yacht/ship". I say this with the utmost respect, sir! Safe cruising!
Hi Tristan and crew. Love your videos and also great how much you love the vessel and your job. Can you please explain the different uniforms you and the crew wear throughout the day? Also, I heard that there is a special uniform the crew wear when the owner is on board to alert other boats -is this correct? You and your crew always look immaculate and behave very professionally. Well done to you all. AWOL is looking beautiful!
Stunning location. I always look forward to the vlogs. You lads look well & very chilled out, were are Giv & the girls lately. Keep up the fantastic work Tristan. From a very dreary Southampton UK. X
Great blog Tristan, a great break from sorting out my respective kids legals for buying their first homes! I have never really put on any value to Croatia and other new parts of Europe, this is making me review some thoughts. Anyway enjoy, and keep all of you safe Captain.
Disney makes fair money selling us photographs or in some cases videos showing our adventure at their theme parks. Might be a win-win for both the owner and you if that were actually an offering on the charter package. I would think some guests might love videos at least from a distance showing them enjoying all of the toys. Some of course are out there for complete and total privacy and that's great as well. You never know.
Is Awol a fiberglass vessel? Is she safe? Isn’t better for these big vessel to be build with steel or aluminum? Why choose fiberglass instead steel or aluminum? Thank you so much for your amazing job with this amazing YT channel 👍🏻
Can be multiple reasons, lower maintenance for example but usually it's weight and stability. Often (with very large boats) the bottom is steel en the top fiberglass or aluminum. AWOL is all fiber/GRP.
iyc.com/yachts/awol/ Hull : GRP Superstructure: GRP up to a certain size of a yacht and if several of the same type should be produced GRP is less expensive. And of course not so heavy. Under the different regulations there is a maximum for the 'weight' : 500 GT. Tristan had a license, until sometime this year, to captain yachts of max 500 GT. Hence if you have a full steel hulled yacht with steel superstructure, the whole boat will have to smaller to be under 500GT. If you use GRP, the yacht can be longer, wider, higher : more space. And if a yacht is lighter : less fuel consumption. And fuel is one of the mayor costfactors, beside the salaries for the crew. But agree, if i would be able to have a yacht, I'd prefer a steel or aluminium hulled yacht.
Placing crew members astern in the unlikely event the chase boat bumped into AWOL. The heavier the vessel the longer it takes to stop. That chase boat pulling AWOL would need to watch its stern staying ahead of the larger vessel. This being the scenario to worry about.
I think I saw you leave the bulkhead bow first vs stern first. Any reason? Also, are the air intake vents for the engines overhead of each main deck on the port and starboard side?
Austin Lott was just a thought seeing he was captain of Lizzie for 7/8 years, been with the owner for 12ish and that it’s his brother in law that’s now the skipper of Lizzie😂 just wondered if he was his BIL boss 🙈🤣
Tristan, in one of the previous videos you said when leaving the Quayside the Stern of the Boat should move away from the Quay first then the Bow. But on this video it looks like Awol left Bow first, can you explain please. Cheers
That was just a recommendation for when the situation allows leaving the dock astern, not some sort of rule. At sea, there are always different situations and regarding the type of boat and propulsion, wind, current, available space around and so on you make a decision how to leave the dock.
Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful. Hello Dong! Hello Commander. Hello Chef. Jason is on Watch. Is This Why??? What’s The Next Formula 1 🏎 Race??? I Was A Big Fan of The Driver from 🇧🇷 Brazil Who Died when his steering box Broke. Jeopardy Question. Who was That? CJ
Can you do a video about all the equipment on the mast? I know there's a couple radars (just for traffic or weather also?), But what're under the domes?
Technical question for The Bullet : do yachts such as AWOL use additives like AdBlue used in diesel trucks and cars to reduce exhaust pollution ? If not are there alternatives? Do you believe it could be technically feasible?
The Hottub is that fresh or salt? When drain it is it overboard or a holding tank? Do you have a large tank of gasoline with a filler nozzle to top off the chase boat?

Bow out first from the dock, MMMM Who broke their golden rule Tristan? Some great drone work. What a beautiful spot
For some reason, your video today was spectacular. It could be the camera, the destination or just being onboard AWOL with the crew. Thanks so much for sharing Captain Tristan.
Please show more of Croatia with the drone. It really is a gem. Hope not too many people go there and spoil it.
Great video - both AWOL and Croatia looking beautiful and attractive - great to have the fleet all together 😎
I'm not going to talk about the video, it's on top, as usual. The Awol is a truly splendid boat. I have already seen every corner of the Awol and yet I still like to walk everywhere on this Yacht thanks to Tristan.👍👍
Thanks Rudi for always being so supportive.
Hvar is a wonderful place. We anchored up there two years ago whilst island hopping.
Your not the only one who thinks Croatia is the place to be during summer....my wife and I love it SO much! Stunning scenery everywhere!
Unfortunately this summer we had to stay in Denmark....but we'll sure be back next year! 🇭🇷❤
I'm going to name ALL my kids AWOL. AWOL 1, AWOL 2 AWOL 3. Love you guys ♥️🇨🇦♥️
Thank's. I hope you get paid well !!
You really show the beauty of the places from a drone. Nice one Skip.
I seem to remember last weeks lesson was... 'if tied up alongside... you go astern (reverse) out'....😎 (@ 2.15)
You stole my comment.
Unless you have bow thrusters you can use to push away from the dock
Most definitely always worthy of a 👍🏻 😀
Jason is getting serious wheel time, good for him.
Croatia is gorgeous. The entire Dalmatian Coast ls. Great videos. AWOL looks to be in prime shape. I miss that area. If you get to a village called Cavtat, give it a wave for me.
What a great place to cruise on an amazing motor yacht. Thanks Tristan. Great episode.
If I entered the raffle and won, I think I’d spend most of my time with you Tristan. You obviously love your job.
Hello From Canada. Love your videos, I wish more superyachts visited our small town so i could film them with my drone like your work. Cant wait to see more of your videos.

Another great video, Tristan. Thank you!
Absolutely beautiful
Wow perfect weather!Looks beautiful there.

Fair winds and following seas, Captain!

Back to 'The Best Content': cruising Croatia!
Great video as always and Croatia looks stunning. Was supposed be there for a week in July driving from Split to Dubrovnik . Watching this showing what we have missed. Look forward to the next video of all boats together
Tristan always wanted to be a “rear admiral”.

BEAUTIFUL country!
Land Croatia GOD BLESS YOU ❤
Looks like a fantastic location for peace and quiet . Away from all the covid restrictions 👍

👍croatia in my ❤
Just me who thinks Tristan is a legend?
2:17 "It is always better to leave a dock in reverse to keep the props away from the shallower water"?
They use the thrusters to move away from dock.
@@timwoods603 Not the point, just accept the humor of the timing
Nice video! well done.
Great content. Bought the ticket. Now I cross fingers 🤩
Are you required to display a day shape (diamond) when towing your boat?
Wow I need to get out to Croatia next year it looks spectacular.
Beautiful!
Just wondering if you fill the jacuzzi with fresh or salt water?
Actually I am in Split and swimming whole day between Brac and Solta to see you soon! 😁
Is there a holding tank below the water line for the Jacuzzi water?
I want to dive into that sea from the side of the boat beautiful
Great video!

The most beautiful city in Island brac is postira❤️
That is almost the size of the fleet the Allies brought to D Day.
Hey Tristan. Did I see a Dutch national flag in top around 09:15? Croatia really is beautiful. Keep up the great vlog’s. Greetings.
What is the best way for someone to get started to becoming a captain? Been raised on the water and watching you just makes me envious.
Can you show us how to use a tender crane ?

Hull : GRP
Superstructure: GRP

I have a windy 39 camira I am looking to start on a yacht do you have any tips
How do you avoid the chase boat from crashing into the back of AWOL when you slow?
The chase boat slows down faster than AWOL. The only problem would be a current or waves coming from the rear.
Placing crew members astern in the unlikely event the chase boat bumped into AWOL. The heavier the vessel the longer it takes to stop. That chase boat pulling AWOL would need to watch its stern staying ahead of the larger vessel. This being the scenario to worry about.
Great vlog Cap!
Stunning video! I do also appreciate and value that you did not continue with your promo’s. To honor that I watched all ads segments :)
Hooked on these. Dang TH-cam algorithms! Love it tho
I think I saw you leave the bulkhead bow first vs stern first. Any reason? Also, are the air intake vents for the engines overhead of each main deck on the port and starboard side?
Hi Tristan. Can you let me know the make and model of your Sunglasses please?
Awesome vlog!
Nice video. Can you do more maneuvering video's with the head cam? also some more engineering video's?
Bro I love your vis🤩
Great video 👍🍻
Big boats don't have to back out from the dock?
What brand are your shorts?
Awesome videos. What song are you using during the drone footage?
When the fleet is together are you senior captain in charge of all itinerary and passages Tristan?
He'd be "Rear Admiral"
Joking ;)
Really good question!
Austin Lott was just a thought seeing he was captain of Lizzie for 7/8 years, been with the owner for 12ish and that it’s his brother in law that’s now the skipper of Lizzie😂 just wondered if he was his BIL boss 🙈🤣
We work as a team, I would agree the itinerary with the owner then pass the information down.
Super Yacht Captain thanks for the reply👍
Been there done it by heli ! Way cooler
Whats the cruising speed of M/Y AWOL?
Tristan, in one of the previous videos you said when leaving the Quayside the Stern of the Boat should move away from the Quay first then the Bow.
But on this video it looks like Awol left Bow first, can you explain please. Cheers

Go to Hvar! Is nicer than Brac!!!
(Just turn around the island in front of you and you're arrived!)
I still can't get over the perspective view of chasing AWOL which is 1 foot bigger than my boat but looks tiny haha.
Simple but curious question. Where does the hot tub water come from?
Awesome! Love the horn at the end. Which port were you in on Brač?
Looks like Pucisca on the north side of the island
Bernd Haverkock Thanks.
Why don’t go to Rogoznica beautiful marina or anchorage near trogir ? Btw so i can see AWOL live 😀
Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful. Hello Dong! Hello Commander. Hello Chef. Jason is on Watch. Is This Why??? What’s The Next Formula 1 🏎 Race??? I Was A Big Fan of The Driver from 🇧🇷 Brazil Who Died when his steering box Broke. Jeopardy Question. Who was That? CJ

Technical question for The Bullet : do yachts such as AWOL use additives like AdBlue used in diesel trucks and cars to reduce exhaust pollution ? If not are there alternatives? Do you believe it could be technically feasible?
5:00 min, how fast are you going? How much fuel does AWAL consume at that speed?
The Hottub is that fresh or salt? When drain it is it overboard or a holding tank? Do you have a large tank of gasoline with a filler nozzle to top off the chase boat?
Salt water in the hot tub are you mad 😁😂😂😂😁 they warm the sea round the boat as well 😉😉😉😉
What does chef do with all the food scraps he separated out?
How long is AWOL?
Are radars safe to be on while people are on the upper deck?
Any croatia gang here?
Chief engineer 😎
hi Tristan,
what sunglasses do you use on the boat?
Does AWOL have her own water plant to make fresh water?
Yes, most yachts of this size and caliber have water makers. This yacht can probably make about 6000 liters a day.
What happened to the audio?
Does Chasing AWOL get a rough ride in the prop wash?
