Hey everyone, I see we’ve had a few complaints about the sponsorship integrations in our recent videos. Please remember that every single cent I make from Sponsors, Patreon, Membership and merchandise goes back into the channel and to charity. The videos are FREE to watch and will continue to be FREE to watch. If you don’t want to watch the sponsored segment then it’s really fast and easy to skip forward. I hope this gives you an idea of what we’re trying to do, from now on we will turn off mid roll ads from TH-cam on sponsored videos. Take care guys.
Here's the problem. I already pay for a TH-cam premium subscription so that I don't have to sit through ads. And then creators decide they want to place sponsorship ads in the middle of their videos. It's getting ridiculous. As far as donating some of the ad income to "charity", if your making enough revenue to be donating to charity then maybe you don't need to make us sit through all of the sponsorships.
Very, VERY INTERESTING Tristan ! The amount of planning and execution is FACINATING (to me) for just leaving port. For people like myself that love the seas, ocean and "open waters", you're providing myself and others a huge glimpse of what transpires on a super yacht as well as travel aboard A WAY OF LIFE ! Wishing you, Chad, Slav and the rest of your crew the very best. Warmest Regards from Arizona.
Good job in letting your first mate take her out of the berth. The last time I worked under a Captain I was told that wasn't part of my duties. I took that as an example as to how not to run a boat.
@@JCrook1028 been there as well,- m yu GUESS is that the captains on boats like that are scared someone else will take their job at the next owners meeting with the captain!
Another fantastic vid. Always great to let others drive the ship to gain experience and you are an excellent mentor in allowing this. I remember the first time as a 3rd Mate getting to do some ship handing under supervision from the Captain, it really was a fantastic feeling doing that and also helped me have a better understanding of what was happening on the bridge when I was taking charge at mooring stations. When I was Captain I also allowed my junior officers chances to ship handle when the opportunity so understand the feeling of guiding someone to manoeuvre a large vessel in confined waters (and not leap in and take over if it was 100% correct) Calm seas and a fair wind
Good job Jason! Same to all the crew. The owner is fortunate to have you all, and from what I have seen you all are fortunate to have a good owner. Thanks for sharing.
Once again I enjoyed this video just like your others. Out of all the boat videos that I subscribe to yours hands down is the best. A lot of the stuff that you do I can relate to. I love watching how you and your crew were handling your lines leaving port. It reminded me of when I had a smaller boat and one hot August weekend my wife did not want to go out on our boat and suggested I just take our two sons. I had no problem with that seeing that both of them helped their mother tie her boat off whenever we docked. When we left it was just getting dark and I was heading for a local sandbar to drop anchor for the night. All that was fine we had a great night just me and my two boys. They loved the fact that I allowed them to go down to the swimming platform and urinate in the water. I really wish I had a video camera at that time. It was just the way they were excited about doing that. At that time our old is for 16 and the youngest was 12. It was extremely hot that night even when the sun went down it was still triple digits. So pretty much we spent our evening inside with the AC cranking. Both of them for some reason was drinking a lot of water and when I asked hey said they wanted to go to the bathroom again. The next morning as we were getting up I asked my son did they want to pull the anchor so we could cruise around. They did that they even washed the chain and anchor once it was back aboard. My wife called and asked when were we heading back to the dock she was down at the Marina on her girlfriend's boat as her husband was working on it. So when we got back I told her to let the boys do everything at the dock without her help. Once we were tied up she came aboard and asked me immediately what happened to our anchor? I'm looking at her like she was crazy I could not figure out what she was talking about except if the kids did not clean it. That's when she told me to get off the boat and walk to the bow. So I did and when I looked up where our anchor should be at there was nothing. The anchor was gone and we asked the boys what happened to the anchor and they said we did just like Mom does when she brings the anchor up. The safety claw that holds the chain in place was on the chain but when they did that they got a little confused about the d-ring that was attached to our anchor. They loosened that bolt up to a point where it fell off and then the anchor right behind it. Even though that happened my kids learned a valuable lesson on listening and watching better. My wife was shocked that I was not mad or yelling about it. I explained after the great night that me and our sons just had I was not going to let an anchor ruin my memories of that trip. One of the points I'm trying to make is that mistakes happen as long as nobody is hurt or worse killed it can turn out to be a learning experience. All I did after that was to go to my local West Marine store and order a new anchor since they did not stock one that was big enough for my boat. So just remember when you're teaching someone how to handle lines and anchors just go behind them and make sure it's done right. And just remember just be patient with people even if they're not your family. Even though both of my sons are now full-grown men and they both join the United States Marine corps straight out of high school. I still remember the night that we were out on the water acting goofy and laughing the whole night together.

@@tuntona5133 I've been seeing quite a few channels resorting to narrating ads within their videos. Why is this happening? One, because so many people are skipping ads or using an ad block and two, a couple years ago a few of the largest advertisers pulled out of TH-cam due to policy changes. Tristan, your new glasses do not fit! They're crooked due to the fact that sides have not been adjusted to sit correctly on your ears. This is a perfect advert for physical high street opticians where a trained member of staff can adjust the frames to fit the customer, something you'll never get with an online supplier!

Great video 👍
Take a look at Arkadia a San Lorenzo for sale, 2018 and very modern. 9mil Euros.
so with all the cushion on display on the bow, I'll take it that the boss is on board for the cruise
WHY the chase boat? ALL the time when underway?
Thanks for the detailed information :)
Tristan, your new glasses do not fit! They're crooked due to the fact that sides have not been adjusted to sit correctly on your ears. This is a perfect advert for physical high street opticians where a trained member of staff can adjust the frames to fit the customer, something you'll never get with an online supplier!
Don't go to spec savers LOL
Absolutely true. Cheap can sometimes be too cheap, and those glasses did'nt fit the way they should. They just looked ridiculous on Tristan.
Graham Scholfield 😂😂😂😂 of course they fit, I didn’t realise they were crooked when I was filming as I was taking them on and off. Honestly really happy with them.
Graham Scholfield I’m sorry, for too much promotion in this video for me to spend my time watching. Also, just constructively, but hand gesticulating particularly at the beginning is very distracting. I enjoyed the videos today but the advertising and promotion is getting to be too much
And thats why i would never, ever order glasses online
Thanks man
IMHO the rayban was fine - but the clear glasses ??? emergency landing? 😂😉
Please adjust into volume.... Been awhile, bet you are glad to be back on the water
Surely Livorno on west coast of Italy? Did you flunk Navigation.
Watch the video again and read the correction 🧐
HiTristan, What happened with last years raffle?
Hey man , I have a question , during the wintertime , do you have the time off?
Nono as you can watch several elder vlogs.
Dad was born at Montenegro that’s pretty cool your going there
good work man 👍🏼👍🏼⚓️ keep going on and up 💪🏻 watching you from kuwait 😁
I wish you had more camera view from the bow to video the exiting of the port of Livorno instead of your glasses.
I don't know why othera are gripping about the glasses advert. I am going to consider them.... helps that its time for new peeps.
Captain be aware that you can't go to italy from montenegro without being quarantined once back in italy ; also in italy if you enter any port after 6 hours navigation you are required to fill a form where you declare being covid free etc etc (I know it's stupid...)
so if your going to be out at sea for 63 hours of travel time chase boat is manned or being towed
The glasses commercial was waaaay too long. I hope this isn’t going to become a trend on this channel. Otherwise, it was a great video.
Already has become a trend. 😐 Have you seen the ones he does for AquaBanas? 😶
I enjoy it. Doesn't bother me at all.
Are you still looking for the fast forward/skip button on you keyboard?
Guys..... come on, it’s really easy to skip forward. Don’t forget that I don’t put a single cent of the money I make from the sponsors, Patreon, membership into my pocket. It all goes back into the channel and to charity. I would really appreciate your support and don’t forget that the content is FREE to watch.
@@SuperYachtCaptain Well said and very true. I personally don't mind it and think you're doing a great job! 🥂
Hi tristram, awesome vlog, your new camera lenses,is ok,but when you used your go pro, video lookedmore clearer,
Stay safe,
Chow,
Captain Tristan, please go to a glasses shop to set the glasses levelled on your face. As ex-employee for an optician I can't look at you this way🤣
That won't help that they also don't fit his ears and are too small - the RayBan sunglasses looked good though. 😎👍
Just read in the News that the vulcan Stromboli last night had a 'hickup'.
Be careful while passing on your way.
