Dear friends, I got to know Sister Sourire in the early eighties. She was a good and sincere person. Sister Annie was also very honest and extraordinary, especially; together they both gave their time and attention to children in need. Many times I have been received with much friendship by Sister Sourire and Sister Annie in their apartment in Wavre (Belgium). She once cooked a meal (and I'll never forget this) Brocolie with burgers and some potatoes for me. I will never forget her and Sister Annie. Jeaninne and Annie were real people (as God wanted it to be). All their attention went to the neighbor and especially to the least fortunate in this hard society.
I was 7 or 8, I believe, and my Sister, 13 years my senior, brought the 45rpm and played it over and over. She then learned it on her guitar and would play it for me. I had no idea what the words meant as it was in French. But regardless, it touched me deeply. Years went by and the song seemed to get lost. Flash foward to today,( 8/18/2022), and this song came back to me. Looking it up here on TH-cam, I listened to 3 versions. Still, a beautiful, wonderful song.
