Wow thanks, just what I needed to see to help me narrow down my decision and I especially appreciated the view of the infotainment screen.
The 2020 equinox is the last year for the 2.0 T liter engine. Better late than never - I just bought a low mileage 2020 in May 2022 with the 2.0 T liter engine. Get them used while you can. Great review.
I have the 2.0 w/9 speed transmission. Day and night better than the 1.5 w/6 speed auto trans. Very nice driving suv.

These things are now dirt cheap in Australia now that they have stopped selling them.
all the reviewers arnt saying the engines are direct injection that's a big thing to leave out. And them chees"y fog lights they look like they came off the spark and most people will be buying the lower trims with the 1.5 so why do they only test the one with the 2.0 hmmm I wonder why
nice video. i don;t believe they offer dual climate control; nor can you set it to to say 75 degrees anymore. those are features i have on my 2019 lt equinox. does have many more safety features!
2020 has the dual climate control and you can set the temp on each from 60 to 85+.
I just purchased the 2020 Equinox. I got the LT, 1.5L Midnight Edition. The Midnight Edition must be the difference because a lot of the options you said that are for the Premiere Only are on my LT Midnight Edition.

@@mateohustle I like it. I got the 1.5L AWD. I wish I got the 2.0L thought. I'm not a speed racer on the road, so it works for me. If you're into jumping off the light and going fast right off the bat, this isn't the vehicle for you. But if you want space, a comfortable ride, and a pretty drive, this works. The speaker system could use an upgrade too, but it's not awful. For me, 4/5 stars.

@@mateohustle I went to CarMax and test drove a few different vehicles in this class and I landed on the Equinox. I suggest just go test drive a few different vehicles! I love CarMax bc they don't pressure you into buying anything. I went in and said "I'm just here to figure out what I want," and they said "okay, take a look outside. If you want to drive something, come get me." No pressure AT ALL!

All I want to ask is how do you even do it with the horrible roads in PA ? I've been there and I have never seen Soo many pit holes in roads

Your MPG numbers on the highway are wrong on both engines.
Numbers are according to Chevy's website
@@goldpony check again. The 1.5 is rated for 30MPG highway. Even the EPA rates it that way.

My mom has the 2019 lt and hers isn’t a manual lift gate. She can also open it up with the keyfob or by pushing the button

With the Honda CRV, Toyota RAV-4, Mazda CX5 and Nissan Rogue, is there any real reason that would make this Equinox competitive over those brands other than "buying American"? I actually own one of the older model Equinox's so not trying to dog on this brand. But just trying to get to get a better understanding of what would make this Chevy model more preferential over the other top selling / rated vehicles in the same segment. Thank you
I've test driven all those. and here's my take on the Equinox (to answer). 1) all those you mentioned have less power than the equinox (when choosing their highest engine model, if they have one), except the NEW CX-5, which now has a turbo model...so for those who care about passing power, and a comfy yet sporty ride, only the cx5 and equinox are reviewed to have sporty, fast ride...sporty part makes point # 2...so 3) fuel economy in the equinox is actually very good, for the power you're getting, and other pro reviews shows on hwy, it gets 2-3mpg more than rated, so bonus there !! Fast and efficient ... 4) it's got a quieter cabin (not sure how much), but it's decently on the quiet side.. and honda's 1.6 L engine screams at you driving it.. Annoying !... 5) forward braking.. it has it and the Honda actually does NOT !!.. there others may have it, but honda, bad on you.... their's only visual alert.. no braking for you.... 6) pretty much, in the premier, has everything... 6) Cargo area, weill it's not great like honda, but since it has some hidden area in lower section, that helps alot for spare, oil, and stuff.... But it is over priced !! and one needs to get a few thou off to make it a competitive price... I'm close to choosing one.. but I still hate it doesn't have the shut off button for the engine stop stupid thing.... side note, the armrest comes forward for shorter people to still be able to reach their elbow, if like to rest it there, as my wife does, and it's on our criteria list.... oh, due to far back armrest and NO hidden cargo area under rear floor, is actually what's keeping me from buying the Mazda CX5.. I really like this car, but my wifes elbow requirement is important, as she really like to rest her elbow there, as it's gets weak and tired easy...so I have to deal with that.. and we switch cars alot... I hate not having hidden space for oil, washer fluid, cables, few open house/lock box realty related stuff.. and maybe some extra ammo... haha... why not... little things sometimes that win the deal.
@@opaextreme9282 Thank you for that explanation. Wow i'm surprised there's no on/off button for the start stop. That would be a deal breaker for me.
@@CKevni note putting equinox in L mode, it still up shifts itself (gotta retest this to be sure & clear if in all conditions) as i did test it.. And while its in L gear, it overrides the auto engine shut off.. Also when A/C is on, engine doesn't shut off at stops.. But do i want to drive in L mode everyday ? Maybe i would if runs normal like i found it did, but need to dbl chk this for consistency..
the RAV has no power at all, it's very reliable but has NO power. I never drove a CRV but I've heard the same thing, NO POWER. Rogue is nice but pricey. I'm leasing for 3 yrs. so It will be Equinox or CX5. It's going to come down to interior space.
My Chevy hatchback was made in Mexico and I think the equinox is made in Canada So much for made in AMERICA and some of the Buicks are made in CHINA

That's exactly what I was thinking...spend that kind of money I'll buy a toyota 4runner which would hold its value way better then this junk
