I love all of her videos. I wanted to share for anyone that wants a tighter fit like a regular beanie instead of a slouchy one I used a 36 peg loom to create it. The brim instead of 10 rows I did 8 and for the body I did 8 sets of those 3 rows instead of 11 and it came out perfect. Thanks so much for this video
Started this hat yesterday. Added a few rows at a time throughout the day. I did the square as my first project with my new loom set. But didn't know what to do with a square, so it became a rectangle. While looking for the video to get to the cast off part, I saw this video. As soon as you were done with the cast on, I had gathered my new loom kit and abandoned the "square". And now I have a finished hat! I used the 36 peg loom by accident, but stuck with it for practice. Fortunately this hat is a perfect fit. And I don't want to take it off ever. Okay I am too old for that kind of talk. But I have been wearing this hat with a big smile for a couple hours. Thanks so much!
Absolutely love your videos. I love how you show us what to do on the loom, voice over, speed up the tedious stuff, show it in text. Absolutely love this hat/style and just finally had to comment and say thank you! Been watching this tutorial for years (you'd think I'd have it down by now, but I forget every summer 😂). So thank you!!!
I've done the same e stitch pattern from 12 years old to now 30... patterns are so hard to read so this helped tremendously and made this exact hat it was super easy and took me about 2 hours to finish it all gave my mama a nice new hat
thank you for talking and explaining. I''ve not started yet and am a beginner is a little intimidating, but am ready to try it... Wish me luck.. Looks easy, love the hats.
I just tried this yesterday and I absolutely love the look of the hat! And your tutorials are always so helpful and easy to follow :) the one problem with the hat I made with this stitch is that it seems almost too slouchy. I followed your row count but there’s a lot of fabric that hangs from the back (and it kinda looks funny). I’m going to modify the number of rows, but it got me thinking: I feel like it would be helpful to see what the hats look like on someone. I find that knitted hats look so different once they are actually being worn. Perhaps that is something you could add to your tutorials at the end to show us how they look when they are worn also. Just a suggestion! Thanks for the great directions, as always!
Stumbled on your videos a couple weeks ago, I previously had no interest in knitting but watched the video because I was bored. You made it look so easy and you have such a relaxing voice so I just kept watching your videos. Finally, you inspired me to get a loom kit so when it arrived I bought this pattern and got straight to work. The hat in this video was my first project. I spread it out over 2 days and used your videos whenever I got stuck. I was surprised at how quickly this actually goes once you get started, even with my cautious pace. My first hat was shockingly much better than what I imagined it could have been and I have you to thank for this. I found your video about tightening loose loops especially useful. Thank you so much for such great tutorials and for inspiring me to pick up a new hobby! You are the best and I look forward to learning from you and seeing all the cool things you design in the future.
I have wanted to get a loom to make socks for a long time. But store was always sold out when I went to buy. But while shopping amazon for embroidery supplies for a cape I am almost finished making, saw a loom. It was confusing deciding which loom to buy to make socks, so I came to youtube for suggestions. I just ordered a loom kit from Amazon. I'm glad I bought a loom kit that allows me to make hats and socks. After watching your videos I think it will be a rewarding addition to my sewing hobby.
@@LoomaHat Thanks. Decided to get a kit for a neighbor also. She will be getting her Christmas gift early - after I sew a bag for her loom kit. Fun to learn something new with a friend.
I'm fairly new to loom knitting and I'm having so much fun making things for family and friends. I didn't hesitate becoming a subscriber to your channel after watching just one video. They are so easy to follow and the visuals are great. Thank you for also being consistant in answering questions in the comments. I read them and find my answers quickly.
I love your tutorials and patterns. I donate beanies for the infusion center for patients who have lost their hair. All the nurses and patients really enjoy them. Thank you for posting your videos. It's awesome to know you do this to help for charities.
danica69420 That’s awesome. I’m a breast cancer survivor and I can tell you with 1000% certainty that wearing a hat while bald during chemo is sooooo much better than going “naked”!!! (I spent a LOT of money on head coverings....bandannas, wigs, store bought beanies, etc...) I guarantee you they’re appreciative.
@@Eclecticajewels Thank you! I love doing these tutorials and finding fun new patterns to use in my donations. Glad to hear you're a survivor. Chemo is brutal. The taxotere side effects are awful. Congrats to you!
Just finished this hat in Lion Brand Hometown yarn (Riverdale Tweed color) with no pompom for my sister's boyfriend. It turned out so cute! I am trying to learn different patterns/designs with stitches so I have been making hats for everyone for now lol. Thank you so much for the tutorial!
Love it soooo much. I have started looming two months ago through your amazing informative, and detailed videos. Thank you very much for teaching me and make it easier than the enclosed cryptic instructions with the looms. Keep up the wonderful work!
I just finished my hat! It's the first hat I've ever made and it's super comfy!! I did 13 stitches instead of 10 and next time I'll just do 11 for a little slouch, but I like how slouchy this one is! Thank you so much for this super easy to follow tutorial and I can't wait to make more hats from your videos in the future!
Just made this hat😁 it turned out great. Thank you for the easy instructions. I do so Much better watching than reading patterns. You have no idea what that means to some of us.
Thank you for the video and instructions! I made this had and it’s beautiful! The only thing, it’s too big for me. What should I do to make it again but smaller? Smaller loom? Less rows? Thank you for your help!
Thank you - yes you can make it smaller by using the 36-peg loom and use less rows. Maybe adjust the brim by 2 or 3 rows and then adjust the hat rows by 4 or 6 less rows.
Hello, I love your patterns! I just have a question, can I use a 36 peg loom. Is there a drastic difference. Also if I use the 41, with the hat be loose on my head, if so how do I make it tighter ?
I have the attention span of a goldfish so it's usually hard for me to concentrate with videos but you spoke so loud and clear that I was able to understand everything ❤❤
Awsome hat from an Awesome creator, Denise, You're the best in quick and easy (well most of them anyway LOL) patterns. Love you to pieces, keep up the great work!
Hi! For a child's hat should I still use the extra large loom or would a 36 peg loom be better? I love your videos. They have made loom knitting so easy! Thanks for making them! 💖💖
Denise thank you so much for sharing your gifts with YT world. I'm looming lots now because of your easy to follow tutorials. Question: Is it possible to use too thick of a yarn? The top of the hat is not closing properly, in fact it's puckering. I've now got a hole a little bigger than a quarter that I can't close :( Thanks in advance for any guidance you may offer.
these hats are really cute. do you think the size u made would fit a 5 year old child? because sometimes certain stitches can make hats a lot smaller even on the big loom. thanks for the great pattern!!
I love this pattern and have done two so far, but both times my hats came out with 5 prominent bumps at the top when i pulled the top of the hat together, and it doesn't look very good when worn...I'm using Bernat super bulky #6, and it seems to cause these big gathered bumps. It only does this with the garter stitch, because I made another one of your hats that was a different stitch pattern and the top pulled together nice and even. Is there a stitch decrease I can do at the end? Or could I do the last 5 or 6 rows in just the e-wrap, would that make it lie flatter? I'm fairly new to loom knitting and don't yet know the ins and outs of stitch decreasing. Thank you so much.
I really appreciate you ❤️! Something I really need to know about is when you take a loop off the peg, are you supposed to keep it the same way as it came offer, or am I supposed to add a little twist to it 🤔??? I've been using my pic to keep my loop straight, am I doing it wrong? For me it also helps me know the direction I need to go. I've been doing this a few months now and have so many questions!? Also, if you don't mind, please tell me what low-pill fiber yarn means and should I use it?
Do you have a pattern to do this pattern in a scarf? I made this hat a few years ago and love it. I would love to make a scarf to match. Maybe you already have a tutorial that I missed or one that would give me a similar look.
I have a seam on my hat. It is not a loose ladder thing. I think I did the very first peg in the cast on wrong. In the video you wrap it twice then wrap the rest once, then wrap all the pegs again and knit off. That leaves one (extra) wrap on the first peg for the rest of the project. I didn’t do the extra loop on first peg, so it left a very small gap that looks like seam because the last and first stitches aren’t all the way joined. I’m going to test my theory on next hat! (Others who commented on the website might have done the same thing.)

Thank you so much for your videos. You are a wonderful teacher. Question. If I want to make the two-toned hat where do I switch the yarn at row 14?
After your last row of rib - you will split the 2 rows of knit - 1 in original color - next one in the changing color
Very useful!

Great tutorial. I made a beautiful hat!!
Great instructions, great design. I used chenille yarn and the hat band came out too large . Is this because of the chenille? My loom has 41 pegs.

Beautiful work as always! 💕I love the look. 🙂

Did you also fold the brim? Or 10 rows is without that?
Also, if I’m making a baby cap, how many rows should I do for the brim?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤gracias
I'm new to looming and want to know what are those little hook things at the bottom of the loom?
ماشاء الله تسلم ايدك بس لو ترجمه عربي
How did you make the cool loopy pompom?
Wow!!! Beatiful!!!
Thank YOU !
Will it turn out the same size if I use two strands of worsted weight?
Most likely not. But I haven't tested this project with two strands as one so I can't tell you for sure.

Hi
To make a cap For 13 years old which size frame has to use 36 peg or bigger?
Super! Great work! I really liked it!
Thank YOU Denizin !!!
Ooooooh wait up new hat , I will make you ASAP 😍😍😍😍😍😁😍
Girl - I know your history of quick knitting. You gotta time this one and tell me how long it took you.
LoomaHat.com two and a half hours , I am losing my magic 🤣 the brim gave me a hard time I had to repeat it twice, but then all went smoothly ❤️❤️❤️
We will exclude the brim issue from our collective memory
(* happens)🤓
LoomaHat.com 🤣🤣🤣 many thanks for everything My dear lady ❤️❤️❤️ I truly appreciate what you have taught me and I cannot wait for the next project
Instead of the ewrap is a uwrap ok if using not as thick of yarn? Will it have the same look but slightly tighter?
You’ll end up with a baby hat.
Wonder if this would look good with two colors? Has it been done?
Hi - one of the hats in the picture is two colors - do you mean can it be striped? If so, yes you can knit this in stripes. I would suggest a self striping yarn cus it would be a lot easier. amzn.to/3Jj2eph
Love this!
What is the kind of yarn you are using
Is 1 e-wrap and 1 purl repeat?
Instead of E wraping each peg all at once on 11 and 12. Can I do them each peg seperate?
Mine just do not look good. Still learning. Thanks shelley
Beautiful!
What happens if for the first few rows you use a true knit stitch and purl for the brim? I already started doing it but I was curious what it'll look like
Is there a way to have two colors? One color for the ewrap rows and one for the purl rows?
Sure but that will give you alot of dashes th-cam.com/video/xFUBaYv67QM/w-d-xo.html
I have been folding up my brim, not knowing i could just use different stitches. :0
Glad you like it 🙂
