Denise, you changed my life you truly did. I was lost, hopeless and in search of a new hobby three years ago and guess who I stumbled upon? You, Beautiful. This is that video. The very first one I watched that got me into it. I made amazing things for myself, but the happiness that consumed that lost feeling was making other people beautiful things. Seeing how happy they got over someone hand making a piece of clothing or a blanket for them made me feel so happy, it made me feel appreciated and that’s all I ever wanted from Life. You reignited my hard working capabilities. You reminded me how to turn nothing into something amazing. After watching your videos, I have never saw a ball of yarn the same. I just think about all the different things I could make. I’ve made scarves, numerous large blankets (Full and King) using the garter stitch and numerous baby blankets. People send me flowers and thank you cards all the time because of the blankets I make for their little ones. People tell me I should sell them but I just can’t, it’s handmade with Love, and you can’t buy or sell love. It’s just wrong. I made my grandmother so many things before she passed away and my mother too before she passed away. I made my mother a scarf that curled so much it formed a cylinder but she still loved it and praised its warmth. I am just so grateful and thankful for people like you Denise. It is Women (and Men) like you who make the world a better, more caring and loving place. Thank you for everything Denise, you are my Hero.
Hera - thank you soOOOoooo much for this - I really needed it. This work gets overwhelming sometimes and I get anxious, feel like I'm failing, so reading your comment is like a bolt of energy. You have no idea - today you're my Hero 💛💛💛
I agree with review and appreciate how sweet and heartfelt it is. I am in a serious need to find a worthwhile hobby to calm my mind and occupy my time because I am at high risk during this pandemic, and my life has come to a screeching halt after always being so active and adventurous. Thank God for finding you!!!
Thank you Denise! I have finished 25+ pieces (hats/scarves and a baby blanket) using your videos. I started around June of 2017 and finished my 1st project a few days before Christmas. Thank you so much!
Oh WOW that is AWESOME Farah !!!!!! You really have been busy - sooooooo glad my videos were helpful. Thank you soooooo much for the positive feedback - it is GREATLY appreciated and not always freely given. Don't forget to check out today's pattern - it's for a brimless mens hat and mens patterns are way too rare. And no pressure but Christmas is creeping up on us again.... LOL ...
Wow! This is an awesome tutorial. I am new to loom knitting and I find your instructions to be clear and easy to follow. I have watched dozens and dozens of TH-cam videos about loom knitting and yours are the best hands down! Thank you for sharing your amazing gift. I have often said, just because someone is good at something does not make them good at teaching it to others. You clearly have both the skill and the ability and patience to teach it to others. Thank you!
Thank YOU for the Thank you crafting4fun247. I try very hard to make it as simple as I can. I have ADD and complex is not a good version of anything for me. Sweet and simple is my motto :)
Thankyou so much for the tutorial. Even years later and still helping people. I always tried to knit or crochet and never knew I needed to follow a pattern for it to turn into something. I have just finished my first real scarf yesterday and now making one for my sister.🧡
I just recently purchased a set of round looms & was watching many varied tutorials by many different instructors and Hands Down, you were the best instructor. You have a gentle, pleasant voice, you give excellent instruction & explain things in depth. I love the patterns you come up with & I can't wait to try my first project tomorrow. The difficult part is choosing which project to start with. I want to try them all. I am so happy that I found your tutorials. Thanks in advance for all your help.
I have been loom knitting about 2 1/2 months . I love watching you. LoomaHat is the best. i watch you and its easy to do. Thank you ive made beanie hats ponytail hats slouchy hats 3 step stich hats scarfs elongated stitch scarf fingerless gloves. ive been looming lol
Denise... that was simply Excellent! Your expertise and easy steps inspire me... Anyone can loom knit! I just purchased my first ever "Boye Round Loom Set" from Walmart yesterday! I can hardly contain my excitement to begin knitting scarfs and hats for everyone! Wish me luck!🌞 Thanks so much for your excellent tutorials!
Thank you beautiful lady for a clear and easy to follow instructions. Every scarf that I previously made would curl on the sides, I didn't have that issue after following your video.
I love all of your loom knitting videos. I am an extremely visual learner, and all your videos are detailed and move at a pace I am able to keep up with.
Oh My GOSH! Thank you Thank you Thank you so much! I'm like crying right now. I do not know why but for some reason or another I just have not been able to find a video that I can completely understand. There are great videos out there, it's me, I don't know why and I was almost going to give up when your video here showed on my feed and I thought why not just one more....and wow! Your video is perfect for me! I'm so excited and I cannot thank you enough.
I'm soooOOOoooo so so so happy that you like it and it was helpful. Thank YOU so much for taking the time to give me your feedback. I really do appreciate it. 💛💛💛
Such a nice straightforward instruction. No wasted words! I will follow up to the other instruction she mentioned and will search to see if she shows how to add fringe.
I've learned so much by watching you loom.. Your directions are easy to follow, and my projects actually look like yours when I'm done. Thanks soooo much 😁
This technique is awesome, Denise! The Scarf created this way just looks great, with none of the curling, on any of the edges.... Thanks for figuring this out!
I just got a set of 5 different sized round knitting looms this Christmas and while they came with a quick start guide for only a hat, I wanted to go a step further and make a scarf for my very first project instead and this was the very first video I went to. Very clear and precise instructions. Not going to go anywhere else for DIY videos
Hi Denise! Thank u so very much for this tutorial💕. I’m giving this one a try for my scarf. In Oct ( 2020 ) I made 3 scarves using another one of ur tutorials, & even though I followed ur instructions all 3 curled like a tube. Lol 🤷♀️ idk what I did wrong. No matter because the guys I gave them to loved them. I’m super excited to try this one for myself. Thank u for all ur hard work on ur videos for us. Ur the best teacher💕. Love hugs blessings & prayers, Donna
I iust finished this and it's my very first scarve. I made it for myself and cant wait til the snow flies to enjoy the cozy warmth. Thank you so much Denise. Im a beginner and I really find your tutorials so easy to understand. ❤
Thank you so much. I absolutely love how you explain the process. I am just starting with loom knitting and have watched several videos on this subject. I was very confused about the different wraps and techniques but, you make it all seem so right. Again, Thank You.
Another excellent video with very clear instructions which makes it possible for a newbie like me able to understand. I'm giving it a try watching multiple times to fully undestand. You wouldn't want to see me working at this ... it ain't pretty ...but the scarf is looking nice!! Thanks again for an excellent video.
Insane how many videos I went through to find an easy cast on + knit + purl tutorial for flat loom knitting when all I needed was this one!! So glad I found your video, excited to check out the rest of your channel.
I love how you explain how to knit. Seen two videos so far. I bought this crazy knit box for my daughter and the instructions are horrible. We will just use the yarns and looms but follow your TH-cam videos. Thank you for sharing your talent. I would've given up without your videos.
Awesome and quick Video, Denise. I am looking forward to using this technique, on my next Scarf...since no blocking is needed, to prevent the edge curling...
I wanted to thank you for the garter stitch tutorial, it was precise and clear enough for me to finally be able to know how to do the purl stitch. I have had my looms for a couple of days so now with the knit and purl down pat l can conquer the world 😃😀👍, seriously l have much to learn. you have made it a lot of fun and helped so much.Mary Ann
Thank you Denise, for a very easy to follow video. I don't find it easy following patterns or videos sometimes, but yours are friendly, informative and a pleasure to watch.
AWESOME Kat - Thank you - thank you for the feed back - You are ALWAYS super sweet. I want you to know that I soooooooooooooooooooo appreciate you friend. Big Hugs !
Think I am going this a try. Really want to work with my round loom. Thank you for clear instructions and going at a pace we can follow and starting at the beginning of your project.
Tina Lynn My ends never match. When I cast off that end is nice and tight, but my beginning end is so loose? Starting another scarf now, I'm going to try to start pulling a little tighter? Lisa
Hi! I have had a set of these knitted looms for like 10 years and could never seem to really make anything that good on them - I started following the instruction in your tutorial video tonight and am very excited with my scarf so far. Thanks for your tutorial :)
I just tried this for the first time and I love how it turned out! Thank you for the great tutorial. I think next time I'll try only using 15-17 pegs instead of 20, because it does turn out kind of wide. But I love it, so thank you!
I love this scarf pattern😍. I've made 28 scarves for charity and 95% of them are this pattern. I've tried a couple other patterns but ALWAYS go back to this one. Thank you for all your great videos 😄.
in the video that she does, the last row before binding off, for it to be a knit i am on the wrong end to start the bind of like she does in the video, left to right. is that what happened to you , how did you do it.
I’ve just finished my first scarf following your tutorial and it’s beautiful the pattern is gorgeous and I mixed two beautiful yarns, it’s turned out better than expected thank you.
You are AWESOME, GREAT VOICE AS WEL AS TEACHER. Sorry but I had to shout it out, just bought my 7 year old the Boye look set ,She is able to knit as well as crochet,Now she will learn to loom,And so will have ,So that we may share year's of crate as well as mommy and daughter time together.
I love this pattern, thank you... This is the first scarf pattern I've found that I loved, and I love your site, that site taught me all 4 loom knit stitches, refreshed me on the purl stitch, and opened me up too picking my pattern, my cast-on and stitch pattern
This was very easy and helpful the scarf that I made came out beautiful! my only issues was the end binding I was confused on where I was going to do the modified stitch but besides that it came out wonderful!
Denise, your tutorials are so easy to follow, what a pleasure learning from you. I consider myself still really new to loom knitting but you make it simple. thank you so much.
I’ve been looking for a direct tutorial that is helpful, clear, and to the point. I’m VERY new to knitting, I don’t even know how to pick yarn or what any of the lingo means, but I was able to follow this and make my 13yo a beautiful scarf. Thank you! I can’t wait to check out your other videos.
Awesome. You are such a good explainer. I’m grateful for that. Thank you for all you do to help us become good knitters. Even my 9 year old granddaughter loves making hats and scarves ❤️👏🏼
Hi Denise just finished my scarf came out pretty good had a few hiccups but managed I emailed a picture of it to you ..Thank you and Happy Looming...😊😊😊
Denice I'm a lefty and using something like a crochet hook is very awkward I am trying to do the chain stitch with a crochet hook and have found no other videos for leftys. Thanks
Hey Carmelo isn't this fun? Are you doing it? It's incredible. I'm a 49-year-old married "many craftsman" but crochet and knitting is awesome. And I can restore my wife's vintage sewing machines. Women had to be machinists for their family when we were kids and fabric was cheaper than clothes.
First video I’ve watched to learn loom knitting and you did a great job explaining and show how to make a scarf..... I’ll watch some others but definitely a thumbs up....... thanks for taking the time to teach👍🏽
Thank you so much! I just finished my first scarf 🥰 I got confused with the end and ended up doing 3 variations because I thought "the middle" was right at thr 12 peg, so it became curly and tight, but it's a minor thing and I'm sure my friend won't mind. Love the pattern! Thanks again!
I'm new this so you lost me at "Hi guys". My wife got me into knitting last fall and luckily my grandkid didn' know better! I have since made my sister a GREAT hat, now onto a scarf. I guess I will have to watch this about 5 or 50 times to get the idea down. Thanks for putting this out for us. Your teaching and music are perfect. Again, Thank you 8-)
You can also slow the video speed. I do for some videos and other videos I watch, pause, rewind, etc. Additionally i watch a few times before i begin a pattern. Good luck!
Happy New Year, Denise! Thank you Thank you Thank you for this video. I have had so much trouble with curling scarves that I stopped making them. So happy for this nice video and as usual, your model is awesome!!
great videos Denise. Thanks for sharing your talents with us . If possible I'm asking if you could do a tutorial on looming a two-color striped skinny scarf. Even though I understand how to loom a scarf I'm just not clear on how to do the color change to get the striped effect. thanks. greatly appreciated.🇯🇲
That's beautiful! I always get so confused on that bind off! I need to figure out a way to do it without biting my tongue off....keep up the good work.
If you like the video please consider sharing it and purchasing the pattern - it helps a lot 💛 Thank YOU : loomahat.store/products/garter-stitch-scarf

I didn't count the rows so how long should it measure?
@@happy9559 I just finished one and I worked on it for about an hour a day for 2 weeks

I tried this pattern for a scarf last week and now I know what I did wrong. Thank you for the lesson! :)

Very clear for a complete beginner. Like especially that neither ends nor sides curl or are loose.
love it i have never been able to do a piece on a round loom without it curling..thank you
Projects with only the knit stitch will curl - just add a purl
Tina Lynn My ends never match. When I cast off that end is nice and tight, but my beginning end is so loose? Starting another scarf now, I'm going to try to start pulling a little tighter? Lisa
Lisa Bodnar check for her video on tightening up loose loops from your first row when the project is finished. Look for "loose loops"

“Y’all got a way to go” 🙂 I just love Denise so much❣️
thank you for sharing that video. Just the pattern I needed to get started on my first project.
Thank you so much! I just finished my first scarf 🥰
I got confused with the end and ended up doing 3 variations because I thought "the middle" was right at thr 12 peg, so it became curly and tight, but it's a minor thing and I'm sure my friend won't mind.
Love the pattern! Thanks again!
I only have a loom with 36 pegs, will it work if i use only 20 of them?
can't wait to try this!! Did 2 scarves the other way and they curled up like Curly Sue's hair. lol
Lisa theCatDude ME TOO! This pattern cured all my curled edges!

Good luck!
