    You see, I need somebody like you. I've 2.0TDCI in 2008 ford focus. It was in many shops, even official ones. It's absolutely ridiculous how inexperienced poeple are there. They are not able to think; most of the time they follow some "cookbook" from a dealer.
    It would not help me saying what's wrong with my engine. But I do appreciate there are people still out there who know what they're doing.

      The Sad thing is, a number of those type of shops are just lazy. Too lazy to diagnose the actual issue. Instead, they just throw parts at it until its fixed. They dont care, because they get paid.

    I hope your client finds a trustworthy diesel mechanic. Sucks some shops do not manage their employees very well.

    I have a 05 lly. Just put my new reservoir tank, cold air intake kit from wehrli fab. Now it’s like I can’t get over 6psi boost. The intake with filter on a stick is 4in with 3.5 in reducer to the intake to the turbo. I tighten all boots I installed was fine before I installed that. Any advice gonna do a bossy test today hopefully after work

      Boost leak test is always a good idea! hope fully that fixed the problem? Sometime packaging could be inside the intake tube or filter, make sure there is nothing restricting air flow on the intake side. If the kit came with a charge pipe as well, it can be super easy for something to be off a bit.

      Did you perform a boost leak test? Or an exhaust leak test? here is a link to the exhaust leak test: th-cam.com/video/nOpO4gGS0vc/w-d-xo.html

    I like that technique, just curious, do you ever have to bar the engine over in the event a intake valve is open?

    • @KCTURBOS
      @KCTURBOS  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nah, the intake valves dont overlap.

    What if you can barely reach your turbo, let alone putting some cap over it to attach an air compressor?

    I have you 7.3 street package on my 1996 F-350. I have a banks intercooler. On the daily driver setting, while just cruising around, my egts around around 700-800. Going up little hills, it goes up to around 1000. If I floor it, it reaches around 1200ish. On my hot street or track reaper setting. I have constantly hit 1400-1600 with 2-4 seconds of acceleration then I let off because I don’t want to melt my engine. Are those egts normal?

    • @FlyNRyanfpv
      @FlyNRyanfpv 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Stay out of those crazy tunes bro, youll blow something up if your not fully built, keep it in a moderate tune and thos egts should be fine.

    • @FlyNRyanfpv
      @FlyNRyanfpv 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I also have a 95 f250 with all the bells and whistles, i get 5-700 cruzing around, and 1000 going up steep hills aswell, just be carful when towing, its not originally designed to have that much power so the egts can climb fast.

    Whats best way to exhaust leak test lbz

    • @KCTURBOS
      @KCTURBOS  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Exhaust leak test: Have truck running, put it in drive, have someone under the hood with a flashlight looking at the up-pipes, hold the brake with one foot as hard as possible, then put the fuel pedal to the floor and hold it until the truck starts to push through the brakes or the leak is found.

  • @caseihpopper

    I have question when I’m driving and my truck hits 100mph the boost just drops all the way I know it’s not it leak cause the way it happens it’s like once I hit it certain speed it stops

    • @KCTURBOS
      @KCTURBOS  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Leaks are usually gradual. A sudden stop in boost like that sounds more computer/tune related?
