Did the Troopers bring any armor? I imagine tanks would be pretty effective in the war since they are powerful and tough and also boost the morale for the poor infantry on the front lines. At least the Troopers brought Mechs.
Tank would get swarmed pretty quickly plus as many fans already pointed out these Arachnids are so ridiculously powerful that they could simply tear your arm/leg off even when armored so you need mainly some powerful weapons to penetrate their armor (which is at some parts strong as the tank). You can see that in ST: Invasion where they get torn apart even when wearing power armor. Just airstrike them then send MI infantry with Moritas and Nukes to clear the rest ;) (And make no mistake Morita assault rifles are actually very powerful, its just at some parts of the Arachnid body the armor is too strong.
I know - old comment, but In the book the Mobile Infantry body armor was actually a small mech-suit with artificial musculature, jump-jets, weapons interfaces, the works. One MI in a suit was described as being able to take out a "whole battalion of tanks" with little effort. Heinlein was very ahead of his time :)
The tanks woulda had to been equipped with something like 20mm cannons instead of typical high caliber cannons for fighting tanks and vehicles, but the bugs don't fear wounding or death and the terrain on the bug planets is rough and shitty so they would only have so much effectiveness, may even be a liability.
Ok, so lets say the tank get swarmed. Now what? Do they just keep stabbing uselessly at the tank? That wouldn't make the bugs much of a threat to it. Armor is always accompanied by Infantry. They help each other. With the infsntry engaging smaller targets, and the armor being able to provide overwelming fire support for the Infantry. Just equip your armor with canister shots, and boom, you have an efficient bug killer
there's 2, the FPS one released in 2005, it's an ok game and feels a lot like the film (don't get attached to any MI trooper you see, they're bug chow) it suffers a bit from low production values (as you expect for movie games) and star ship troopers terran ascendancy. which is more a squad based 3rd person shooter with more strategy elements than the FPS, also has a great storyline and combines elements of the film book and cartoon
Of the two species in an all out war I would give the advantage to the bugs over the xenos, not out of liking them more but rather the fact that xenos need other species or themselves dying to reproduce and get to other planets the bugs do not, not to mention the bugs can control entire species other than themselves with a type of bug that can burrow into the host and control them and have access to their memories and copy their personality to a t almost or the neck bugs from starship trooper chronicles which are more hive minded creature which can instantly control someone and hide from normal scanning means . The bugs have more options even throwing asteroids at xeno infested planets without having to land on them.
Roe xenos are highly adaptable... they could evolve to deadly forms and having a queen will allow them tactics... I know it's a stretch but I believe as long as a hugger and go down the throat or the bugs I believe it could be game over ... just imagine xenobugs.. not to mentions the queen mothers that has almost cosmic telepathy .. I do believe at first the bugs will outmatch xenos easily but if given time they would either outsmart, evolve, or find a way to impregnate the bugs
Bugs have the upper hand against xenos, a warrior class can be enough to kill a xeno but also can die quickly in the attemp, algo the bugs got way more numbers and the xenos would barely do something against flying bugs, xenos are really strong but not invincible, at least they got inmunity to the brain bug for their acid blood the best the xenos can do there is get used of a lot of facehuggers to get into enemy lines and be able to kill the brain bug there (also creatin xenobugs) which is curious to me cuz technically bugs doesnt have a face but you know what i mean
Megarachnids? A tendril that lost contact with the hive fleet and devoloped it's own synapse network and kept evolving. The bugs might as well be mankind's first playful encounter with the great devourer without both of them knowing it
While both species have their unique variations for any occasion, i do bet that Xenomorphs beat Arachnids just by troop superiority, the bugs could just easily snap Xenos like a twig but Xenos are much more intelligent and a single drone, the lowest rank of Xenomorphs can eliminate 50 armed men in one night, while a single bug struggles to kill dozens of men, also, Xenomorph drones can turn into a queen for faster expansion, unlike Arachnids, who just relies on artillery strikes using nearby asteroids and brute swarms.
The Xenomorph's ability to rack up a larger kill count isn't due to sheer superiority, it's due to the environment they're always placed in. They're always able to hide when necessary and move around through vents and whatnot. Xenomorphs are more suited to hunting in smaller environments, whereas the Arachnids are frontline fighters. In a more enclosed space, the Xenomorphs would probably win, but out in the open, the Arachnids would make quick work of them. Acid blood, while quite dangerous, would not be a very big deal to the Arachnid swarm. It would probably make a dent in the bugs' numbers, but it wouldn't be enough. The bugs regularly field armies that the xenos have never even had the luxury of gathering. Additionally, Xenomorphs actually don't reproduce that rapidly. They need hosts to impregnate with facehuggers before they can get anything that's actually useful in combat. While the newborn xenomorph's growth rate is very fast, their actual rate of reproduction is pretty low.
I'm actually replaying the game at the moment. for the first time in years. while the bugs come in large swarms they're not that hard to fend off. against the standard warrior you can just stand there with the mk4 and as long as you keep your bursts short and controlled you can wipe out the swarm before they can get close. granted against the harder tiger warriors you need something like the mk2 carbine and a lot of ammo (just use the secondary fire you rip them apart before they can get close)
crwydryny Its the later missions that really make me struggle. In being chased by 5 Tiger Shards was quite the experience. I'm currently stuck at the mission where the X-Bug lures a swarm of bugs.
the one where that psi-ops guy is in the cage with the bug? yeah that mission is a nightmare. keep moving, don't let the bugs swarm you, and use lots of grenades. also there's a MRL behind the cargo containers in the courtyard and extra ammo in the bunker with the nuke launcher. just make sure you keep something to deal with the baby tankers at the end of the mission. beyond that I can't give you much advice other than try to stay alive and keep the bugs from the cage. also make use of the MI troopers to give you cover fire. by keeping the weaker bugs off them but don't get too attached they're probably all going to die after that the following few missions are a bit of a breeze until you get to the last one but even that one is easy compared to that mission.
Here’s my suggestion of how the warrior bugs were created if a tailless whip scorpion and a mantis and a rhino beetle breed or someone spliced all those invertebrates dna 🧬 together and added human dna 🧬 to the mix and this hybrid escape on a planet Called plindathew and that’s how they might exist in the movie
Thats all we need, more nightmare fuel, but oh my GOD would that game kick ass if it's done right. Who wants a spin off or parody using xenomorphs and the arachnids?
If the warrior bug loses a limb it doesn’t fight at 86% combat efficiency it is 86% combat effective when it is hit so it only fight at 14% combat efficiency
yeah...they face xenos all the time which are more powerful than the bugs so they could easily kill a lot of them but I think the sheer numbers would kill the predators
It was so stupid in the movie how the bugs legs were able to penetrate the armor of the federation soldiers realistically they would have more trouble killing them
Which version of the Warrior Bug did you like the most?
Last Video th-cam.com/video/94ZKlF0ONmA/w-d-xo.html
AcidGlow do a vs between them and the Xenomorph's
AcidGlow i like the royal and x bugs from the starship troopers pc fps game.
AcidGlow I like the warrior bug, they're the most common and nostalgic for me. I'll never forget the image of them tearing apart the soldiers.
AcidGlow aren't you Canadian also happy early Canada day!
hey AcidGlow do you think the xenomorph warrior bug follow the bugs or follow the xenomorphs, just think about that for a second
I can't wait for Starship Troopers: Traitor of Mars to come out this year.
Also my favorite is the original Warrior Bug.
Yeah that one-night-release is troubling. I'm gonna try to see it.
One-night, its not straight to DVD like Invasion?
Also good luck.
Oh yeah are you planning on doing a video the *Necromorphs from Dead Space.*
A new game that includes all these bug variants would be cool. Let it have strong violence and gore, in Unreal Engine 4.
Brendan Bernard HELL YEAH that would be awesome
Lol even if there was an arachnid mod for WWZ thatd be great
You have good foresight my friend, six years later and here we have Starship Troopers Extermination on UE5.
Did the Troopers bring any armor? I imagine tanks would be pretty effective in the war since they are powerful and tough and also boost the morale for the poor infantry on the front lines. At least the Troopers brought Mechs.

They're not supposed to be effective it's all satire.

Instead of saying "to see more videos like this" you should say "would you like to know more?" at least when your doing a starship trooper video.
Never knew a Starship Troopers game existed til this year lol, watched K54 gaming walkthrough of it a few months ago
there's 2, the FPS one released in 2005, it's an ok game and feels a lot like the film (don't get attached to any MI trooper you see, they're bug chow) it suffers a bit from low production values (as you expect for movie games)

My favorite warrior bug is the hopper because is both sleek and Swift in the battlefield.
Anyone remember the Starship troopers game for PC? That shit was dope.
Xenobugs look friggin amazing!!
The bugs would be immune to the xenos using them as hosts to reproduce, which is a plus. The hard part is how the acid would affect the bugs.
Naw, xenos will just create arachnid xenos and demolish the arachnids.
@cristianardonmonge836 the bug don't have more numbers. So look anything...where xenos are left unchecked by humans or predators.
i would love to see the xeno-bug hybrid in a future cross over film maybe set in the future to suit starship troopers
this is what I've been waiting for.
That would be a kick ass battle, bugs vs. xenomorphes.
Tiger Warrior is easily my favorite. Hopper close second.
"Uncataloged Warrior DNA detected! Warrior Bug DNA acquired and available!" - Omnitrix.
I love these aliens because you can't compare them to any arachnid/insect on earth !
A show down I want to see in a Death Battle Style video Graboid species vs Aarcnid species.
Hey Carlos do you think you could play this game anytime soon? Great video btw.A lot of content
There's already old playthroughs by other people. I don't have much time for gaming these days.
i really like the FIB one...idk it just looks super dope
Megarachnids? A tendril that lost contact with the hive fleet and devoloped it's own synapse network and kept evolving. The bugs might as well be mankind's first playful encounter with the great devourer without both of them knowing it
I like the the zerglings and the mutalisk.
Xenobugs? oh hellllllll naaaaaw bro
Soldier: Game over man, Game over!
Officer: C'mon you apes! Do you wanna live forever?!
herpderp7274 no! no! no! nuke it! use the P bomb
(later) OH GOD! FIRE THE... uh... WE'RE ALL OUT OF THE ALPHABET!!!!
I'm sorry did you mean *Zergs*
Yeah no we fucked now!
like to see a comparison of the book to the other media
ur channel is amazing and u do some greatr work... well done got a sub here :)
I like the default warrior bug.
Starship troopers comics? Sweet.
Yeah it's based off the same story as the first movie.
now the question is who would win the bugs from starship troopers or the xenomorphs
Plus Xeno's can reproduce rapidly, can you imagine the kind of fucked up shit would come out of an infected Arachnid?
Well i guess 4:37 gives us a pretty good idea lol
The Xenomorph's ability to rack up a larger kill count isn't due to sheer superiority, it's due to the environment they're always placed in. well the queen laying 1000 eggs a day and impregnating the bugs shouldn't be that challenging so really I would give the win to the xenomorph.
Warrior bugs are more deadly and dangerous than the xenomorps in the alien movies.
The xenobugs are my favrite, along with the tiger warrior bug
this needs to be a series on either Hulu or Netflix 12 episodes would be awesome
Awesome art!
Damn the Starship Trooper FPS game was really fun. Ive never been more afraid of swarming enemies in any other game.
I'm actually replaying the game at the moment. for the first time in years. while the bugs come in large swarms they're not that hard to fend off.

Jaguar Bug looks the coolest.
great video dude :3
what game is the giant red striped warrior bug from? 3:43
hey AcidGlow you should look up the creatures from the Starship Troopers OVA anime series that'll be interesting
cool artwork
So where in Australia do you find these?
Here’s my suggestion of how the warrior bugs were created if a tailless whip scorpion and a mantis and a rhino beetle breed or someone spliced all those invertebrates dna 🧬 together and added human dna 🧬 to the mix and this hybrid escape on a planet Called plindathew and that’s how they might exist in the movie
Dude!!! this is fckin great!!
Why do some me of them have one manddable
some have been hurt in war
That could be one but it can be a birth growth thing or it can be a variant
My favourite is the Green with acid.
great video
Heh, just imagine having these Warrior bugs as Mounts. That would be cool.
Yeah, except the bugs have the nastiest character possible.
Explain the tanker worm or the firefry bug
Thats all we need, more nightmare fuel, but oh my GOD would that game kick ass if it's done right. Who wants a spin off or parody using xenomorphs and the arachnids?
Do the warrior bugs even have a stomach?
Xenomorph Warrior Bug?
How would an xenomorph facehugger facehug a warrior bug?
Not how. It's impossible. More like, this would be the result of the bugs handy workk with Xenomorph DNA.
If the warrior bug loses a limb it doesn’t fight at 86% combat efficiency it is 86% combat effective when it is hit so it only fight at 14% combat efficiency
Xenobug!
What if the buga and xenomorphs are in the same univerese
you forgot the warrior invasion. another version of the warrior.
I liked the Hopper.
Can u do the flood ???
Plasma Bugs and Federal Intelligence Bugs (FIB), or in my version (FBI) Federal Bug Infiltraitor😂😂😂
Clever
Bugs, Arachnids, they all look Tyranid to me. Now where is this exterminatus button?
those godforsaken blaster bugs, one spray of that plasma and you're gone.
how will it look like when he’s small
Do you think predator can take on a group of these things?
yeah...they face xenos all the time which are more powerful than the bugs so they could easily kill a lot of them but I think the sheer numbers would kill the predators
@@xenowarrior282 "which are more powerful than the bugs" You're kidding? Bugs are even _physically_ larger.
I installed these things in kenshi and they took over an entire slaver village
Imagine if they existed in real life omg
i choose u scorpion bug :3
Imagine if the warrior bugs could mount ranged weapons and shot back at humans instead of charging them head on.
The xeno bug would be yeah nasty
Would you like to know more
where's the warriors energy weapons
I like the original warrior bug
Why not use helicopters against them?
I love the xenobug
please do the queen bug please
I always wondered; how the fuck do these things eat?
first comment
Mobile Infantry = Armed forces
Colonial Marines = Marines
What's the difference? They call _both_ marines.
Is there a new movie confirmed?
Brenton P. Yes
The book doesn't go into the details of the bugs. I mean the original book.
I like the xenobug
Worror and general bug
Tiger warrior bug.
grenadier backed by basic warriors
I hate the bugs introduced in the video game. I actually prefer the bugs from the animated show apart from the films.
fan art
The symbol of ST.
I came here looking for A Bug's Life clip
It was so stupid in the movie how the bugs legs were able to penetrate the armor of the federation soldiers realistically they would have more trouble killing them
They are strong
The basic form
i know someone would make that
the xenomorph bug
The only good bug is a dead bug
40k guardsmen would see this as a vacation
The only good bug is a dead bug.
*xenos...*
Alien war bug? No thanks
Too many typed
great video
