@@John-te4ej Thanks very much, the aim is to eventually get to the point where we release once a week, we do have a few scripts already written and loads of ideas written down but finding motivation is something im struggling with at the moment. The current plan is to just make as many videos we can when we have the motivation and then schedule them for months ahead which will give us plenty of time to work on the next batch.
@@John-te4ej i guess it depends how much time i have on a weekend, thankfully being at university means i have a lot of free time so I could easily make them midweek if I could be motivated to. Also thanks for the suggestions, I've got another channel that's pretty decently sized where we did a lot of the stuff that you have suggested, however the main issue is that the other channel was much simpler to make content for. I believe if i could just make more videos for this channel then it could be as big as my other one :)
It takes 8 years to be a SAS member. Minimum 3 years of service in the Army, Navy or Air Force. Than 1 year of extensive training and tests and if you pass there is another 4 years of apprenticeship. After minimum of 8 years you will become proper SAS warrior. So it is a long process.
Kamil Skalny I’m led to believe it’s not possible to join the SAS through the navy or RAF, Just army.
ʝamie no any branch of British military, Royal Marines have passed uksf selection and joined the SAS, keep in mind the RM are part of the Royal Navy and most blokes in the marines go SBS not SAS, paras tend to go for SAS
3 years of service is a myth now mate, had a couple lads attempt it within 1 year of being in Battalion, you have to prove to your CO that you’re capable of doing it, then have a phone interview with someone representing the selection course you wish to partake in

@@amie2949 you can join from all technically but you have to have certain qualifications I think so only commandos from navy and parachute trained from RAF?
One on the Special Reconnaissance Regiment would be interesting.

I've got swimming, running, and overall strength well up there.
But if someone asked me "have you got what it takes?" I would reply with
"I can't say. Not until they tested me. And if I fail once, I'm willing to try again."
I don't think you understand just how painful the sas training is.
My uncle was in the sas, and he had legit scars, both mentally and physically from the training alone

I'm only 15 but feel like I need to be in the S.A.S , due to I want to be the best of what I can be and prove I'm not just a waste , so I discovered your video and thankyou for giving some closure on this .
You better be ready to sign the contract saying no law suits will be filed if you are killed in training this Is because people die in training and then you have to work out every day and train yourself sick. Good luck

Rhys Nichols Nice one, seems a good option as long as your job allows it. Will start researching/scripting as soon as possible, will need to wait for the voiceover guy to finish helping out on a film tho before I can get this uploaded :)

I have a. Question when you say must be able to run 4 miles in under 30 minutes. For example would somebody who got 29:30 be less favoured for the position compared to someone who got 25:00 or is it just a pass/fail type checklist
If it has to be 4 miles in 30 mins aim for 4 miles in 30 seconds.

It's strictly pass fail on sas selection, they let nothing slip. If you run it in 30:01, you're off the course.
Could an American join the SAS if they gain citizenship and fulfill the other requirements?
If I were you and had American citizenship, I would enlist in the Delta Force or the US Special Forces
If I don't have uk citizenship am I still allowed to volunteer into joining the sas?
You have to have a citzienship which takes 5 years or 3 years if your Married to a person with citzienship

You need to be a citizen of a commonwealth country
You need to be a UK national, Citizen of the Republic of Ireland, UK/dual nationality holder or a member of the commonwealth. If you're a dual nationality citizen you need to have resided in the UK for a minimum of 4/5 years, 3 under exceptional circumstances.

All these "SAS" vids should be taken with a pinch of salt, they certainly have not been approved under the EPAW policy!

with respect, you cant interigate someone properly without tourchure, but yet you dont tourchure recruits, so how can the training in this area be anything close to good ? and dont get me wrong, im sure its not pleasent and no i couldnt do it by a mile !

It's the rules unfortunately, however you can always try to contact the army via their website. Another thing is you can't just join the regular SAS, unlike the reserve SAS. You either have to be picked by them if they see potential, or you can ask to go through selection, and this is only after you have served a couple of years in the army already.
