I really appreciate you putting other pistols next to it, so we can compare, visually, and not just in words. I liked the detailed review of the firearm and the accessories. Honestly, I don't need to see someone shoot a pistol, if he tells me that it shot well. So, great review! Thanks. I've been trying to decide between some other 380s. You helped me decide. I'm trying one of these at the range, tomorrow.
I've had the Sig P238 and the Kimber micro and I love them equally! One upgrade I think it doesn't look as beautiful but the Hogue wrap around grip. Man that thing really locks it in your hand, that little extension between the trigger guard and your middle finger really locks it in your hand even better! As well as being bell shaped a little bit at the bottom of the grip. I admit those wood grips are beautiful but I love that Hogue wrap around.
Thank you for the video. I use to own the Glock 42 excellent firearm well at least for me, I sold it and purchased the Ruger LCP max for the simple reason it gave me more rounds especially with the 12 round magazine, I shoot it well but it is a bit small for my hands ( large size gloves) but I deal with it because it is a great pocket gun, especially in basketball shorts and a Sticky holster. Moving forward I got the Kimber micro 9 for a Christmas gift and I really like it functions great and I carry it (with a spare mag) when wearing a bit more fitting clothes when going out with my girl or church. With jeans and a t-shirt my carry options are a Glock 43x mos, a 365xl, or a Hellcat.
Lehigh Underwood Xtreme Defender is a very capable self defense option for .380 ACP. There are several ballistic gel and barrier penetration test videos on TH-cam. Even Paul Harrell has one using the new and improved meat target with the high tech fleece bullet stop.
Kimber makes quality handguns. I have the 9mm, Rapide. It's small and has some weight to it so it's not that snappy. I carry it a lot in a sticky holster. And like the 380 it's 7+1.
I bought the Kimber Micro 9 about 3 years ago, as well as the P365, P365XL, & Shield Plus w/4" ported barrel & fiber optic sights. The Kimber has the most recoil and for me is uncomfortable to shoot, whereas the others are very comfortable to shoot. With the Kimber I miss the target the most as well. Problems arose early and its been sent back to Kimber for service. Now that it shoots reliably again I am hesitant to shoot it. Looks great in my gun safe though.
I have one of these kimber 380 pistols. I modified my mags to carry an extra round so I carry it 8+1 round in the chamber. It is also rated for +P ammo so I keep it loaded hot with Buffalo bore hallow points. I’ve had it since 2017 and still running great. Classy smooth shooter!
I greatly enjoyed your video. The only problem that I had with my micro 380 stainless is that the lower portion that is Aloy has reacted and virtually rusted just being exposed to normal sweat in conceal carry. I like the gun but I have gotten zero response in multiple attempts to contact Kimber customer service.
@@wolfgaggerthat's like buying a knife and it gets dull and you get mad because customer service won't sharpen it for you. Clean your guns and stop being a ding-a-ling.
16:40. Amen. How much is your life worth? One thing I would mention- check your state regs. I no longer live in California but unless the reversed it my Walther PPK/S was classified a Saturday night special because of weight.
I have this exact gun, I got it last year. I just noticed that my hammer is like a 1/4 cocked and I was wonder why and if it'll be ok like that? I know the trigger won't pull with it like this so I'm not worried about that part.
It is a clone of the Colt Mustang Pocketlite , which Colt is incapable of making anymore. One problem with the Kimber is only the most expensive version has an ambi version They dont sell the part , you must send your pistol to Kimber to have one installed and by the time you are done r with parts labor and shipping it is over $200. I picked up a cylinder and slide ambi safety for around$75 and installed it with a buddy of mine. That being said if you shoot right handed , it is the best Colt clone . With its locked breech design the felt recoil is less than a heavier blowback pistol. Kimber should offer the slightly larger Government size version that gives you a longer slide and longer grip. , but conceals as well
I think you make really nice gun reviews please please do more just like this
I carried one of these for about 8months, its a good pistol, very accurate and mine was reliable

People like to knock .380 ammo but check out G9 Defense or Lehigh Defense. Two very impressive and capable rounds

Always good to see a 380 review. I went with a used P238 with 7+1 mags as a companion to my P365 in 380.
P238s and especially P238HDs are VERY nice
That's a nice one alright! Thanks for sharing!
You should review a shield + in 30 super carry

That's next I have a micro 9mm stainless now and love it!
Keep doing these reviews. I would like to see your channel grow.
I've wondered how this compares to the Colt Mustang?

skill issue

How did you modify the mags?

well aluminum doesn't rust it corrodes, wipe it off at end of day

@@jerrydonquixote5927 you responded to the wrong guy....
@wolfgagger my bad
I own one just like that and it's my edc. The only thing I dislike is the slide coating doesn't hold up
Do you prefer this over your HK P30SK? I would like to see you review the NEW "CZ SHADOW COMPACT"
I'll keep my LCP Max thanks .
I had one of these. It was fussy and slippery. My Springfield 911 is perfect.
My old crimson carry .380 is picky n finicky it only feeds fmj and it jamms up just touching a hoody sleeve
There is a special category for some types. Those who are carrying nothing because its a hassle, yet poo paw the 380. .......that you always carry.
What equipment setup do you use to record your videos?

First look i think it was an EMP Ronin
that grip rear tail's gonna poke the hell out of your pocket
No.

Say what you will, kimber makes a purdy pistol!
Purdy jamomatics! 👍
I just won this pistol for $49
Browning makes a gun very similar
SCCY CPX 3/ 10+1/ cost 195.00/ 3 mags/ Lifetime warranty forever/ Cost, under 200.00
Nice, but I'll stick with my P365
