Even though she was totally distracted by that, she still managed to point out the key in the toy, the vial in the shaving cream can, and the importance of the vent :).
It was great to see that Geek and Sundry has had contact with Funhaus, I think a lot of people would really enjoy seeing them take part in a board game or rpg session.
To person making puzzle if that was DNA the U's would have been T's as the U is uracil which is in RNA while T which is thymine which is in DNA. Good puzzle though
I literally paused it 0:03 seconds in. Janet - you are awesome, been a fan of yours since I experience your humor on @midnight a while back. Realized you were one of the funniest people I hadn't heard of yet. Now this show Escape, every other week opposite of TableTop (quite possibly one of the best shows on G&S/TH-cam) which helps with the time slot, but the show itself is about Escape Rooms.... OH COME ON you guys are after my heart here, love those types of leveled puzzles. Then...Then...this episode comes on and you got Elyse, super talented and cool. You got Ingrid, who plays one of my favorite (favorite based on actors performance not just the character written) non-companions from Doctor Who (who should be a freaking companion). You got Oscar, who come on, we all know how funny he is. And then...And then... You have Amy Dallen herself. Yeah, we all know who she is, she is the one the prophecies spoke of. She came to G&S at a time there was so many new faces, and she stood out easily. And now after what felt like some dark times from G&S, Amy is seen more and things are getting better. Doctor Amy crafting in the mines, the reason I subscribed to G&S twitch channel.... honestly have not seen the episode and already my favorite one. Keep up the great content!
Came down here to say something like "OMG, it's Elyse!!! Dem GT memories, y'all!" ... but then I realized that literally _everyone_ is saying that already, so... I guess I'll just go watch the video now...
So they keep the operations manual which is most commonly referenced, and store it in a side shaft behind a hidden panel inside an air shaft which is padlocked? Sounds like this is a government facility...
Is it bad I want them to try a Zero Escape series room? More specifically, the Transporter Room from Zero Time Dilemma? Seeing them trying to figure out pictorial base 13 would probably be an instant kill.
Buhlian Now this is vague memory from high school biology, so I'm probably mistaken. But DNA is 4 proteins(?) G, T, C and A. RNA basically builds DNA and has the complimentary proteins. So if G and C fit together you know that wherever there is a G in the DNA there was a C in the RNA. Something like DNA: GATTACA RNA: CTAATGT Any real biologists out there want to correct me, feel free. I'm not even sure i used the word protein appropriately 🙄
Luminous Orange Sunglasses I know this comment is three months old but you did alright on everything except that RNA has a U-uracil instead of T-thymine but otherwise you knew your stuff.
Luminous Orange Sunglasses I'm currently in high school and it is not everything correct... First, Nucleic Acids (DNA, RNA) building blocks are not proteins nor amino acids, are nucletides which are name by their nitrogenous bases [Adenosine (A), Thymine (T)...]. Then it is true that mRNA and a DNA chain are complememtary, but if they gave the sequence coded like RNA (which I am not sure because I haven't finished the episode) it may be because is how sequences are expressed in databases like the one on the NCBI web. Because it is much easier to build databases for only 4 letters (A,U,C,G) than for 5 (previous + T). Sorry for misspelling and I wish I said everything right so I can be helpful. ^^
Simple answer to differences: 1. RNA usually shorter 2. Different backbone molecules 3. DNA is A to T. RNA is A to U So original comment is wondering why there is U in the strand of dino "DNA"
I'm not saying it's impossible, but it feels very improbable that so many of these episodes have had close calls yet all succeeded. The time limit is great, but if people go over the time limit, I'm not opposed to letting them still finish. Just, after they're done, let them know how much they went over by and wish them better luck for the next time. But, as I said, it's not impossible that all of these groups cut it close all these times. I suppose that's the benefit of having 4 people: there will always be at least one person able to follow a proper clue to the answer in decent time.
Write 'Funhaus Avatar' or 'Funahus Canada' and watch the first video you see. After watching Funhaus for 12 hours straight, you can come back here and thank me.
so much talk about Elyse. Bump that, I see Amy I click. Amy Dallen is everything. I mean outside of Janet. Janet is always a treat. Always! Thank you G&S for Amy and Janet and their awesomeness!
this would have been a great episode of the Office, Michael in an escape room, dwight as the manager of the room, and it having silly and over the top traps, Jim coming up with the solutions
Okay, escaping from "Dinosaur Park" is a really, really cool idea, but come on - no dino roars, tremors from dino footsteps outside or the occasional rubber raptor claw violently grasping at that little window? I feel like it was lacking in the dinosaur area for extra tension. Otherwise, very cool escape room.
Where can I get an Owlbear shirt like Amy Dallen's wearing? It's fantastic. I'd also bet that the computer password has something to do with RNA bases.
I just have to shake my head when people complain that CR is too long. It's here on YT, you can stop the video whenever and mark it as Watch Later. YT even remembers the minute you stopped watching. It's not like every session HAS to be viewed in one sitting, there are natural luls when you can pause and walk away. If you can't pace yourself, don't blame the show.
'I'd never open a container of shaving cream' ummm have you never seen Jurassic park? That's like... one of the main plot points, the DNA in the barbasol
Your very either very kind to your guests in the last 2 minutes by allowing a delayed clock in their time limit, or unfortunately bad with continuity editing to create suspense...oh wait you just sped up the end, Elyse must have stopped looking for batteries.
I wish it was the entire Funhaus crew so that way it's people who knew each other. I ,also, would love to see James and Lawrence yelling at everyone :P
4 years late but here I was getting all down thinking I wasn't nerdy enough for G&S, when I was shown that they didn't know the Barbasol reference. Too bad they weren't raptors, LMAO!! #CleverGirl
Elyse and the batteries is hilarious. I hope she found her batteries.
Even though she was totally distracted by that, she still managed to point out the key in the toy, the vial in the shaving cream can, and the importance of the vent :).
lucky, she was looking for batteries in those places :D
LOL, whitebear. Life's coincidences!
Mathieu Lehoux knock knock
lol, yeah
Some say Elyse is still looking for those batteries...
Hahahaha!! That got me cracking up for about 10 minutes straight XD
I was like "Oh Funhaus changed their logo, and who are these people ?"
And then ".... Wait. This is not funhaus, where am I ?"
"there's this plastic dinosaur"
me: HER NAME IS ELYSE
Nothing but love for Elyse here
It was great to see that Geek and Sundry has had contact with Funhaus, I think a lot of people would really enjoy seeing them take part in a board game or rpg session.
Elyse opening the shaving cream, someone knows how to hide drugs...
That's a Jurrasic park reference
Elyse is Love, Elyse is Life
ELYSE AND OSCAR IN ONE SHOW, MY LIFE IS COMPLETE
Elyse hit em with the "love actually"
Ain't it weird that Elyse is getting more love in the comments than Oscar, the dude who was on the friggin' OFFICE? Gotta love Funhaus.
And also, I don't know this channel much, but how do they have the budget to afford these sets? that's crazy
This was a lot of fun to watch. It'd be interesting to see an escape room where one of the 4 players is a planted saboteur. :P
markopolo310 omg yes 😂
Favourite episode so far! Liked the puzzles and this team. Also, Janet is a great host!
To person making puzzle if that was DNA the U's would have been T's as the U is uracil which is in RNA while T which is thymine which is in DNA. Good puzzle though
Elyse!! you are a celebrity !!! hahha nice
BlakyNT - DATELOVUELTA
No, she's a personality... I dunno??
shes the only person i know of in this video
Jan Kenk youve never seen the office?!
lightlampdog Not my cup of coffee
Elyse is super cute.
I literally paused it 0:03 seconds in.
Janet - you are awesome, been a fan of yours since I experience your humor on @midnight a while back. Realized you were one of the funniest people I hadn't heard of yet.

Finished episode, and I was so right, favorite.
Osacar sitting in a room, talking to the camera = The Office. Period.
Oscar? oscar from the office? holy shit!
ELYSE!!!! WOOOOO!!!
Came down here to say something like "OMG, it's Elyse!!! Dem GT memories, y'all!" ... but then I realized that literally _everyone_ is saying that already, so... I guess I'll just go watch the video now...
Wait, that's ELYSE!
I was actually startled when Elyse popped out of absolutely nowhere. I just clicked on this after the Crit Role Escape and OMG
So they keep the operations manual which is most commonly referenced, and store it in a side shaft behind a hidden panel inside an air shaft which is padlocked? Sounds like this is a government facility...
"Funhaus, THE gaming branch of Rooster Teeth," wow, Janet, that hurts.
I think this might be my favorite episode yet. Fun room(s) theme, interesting puzzles, and the crew were fun to root for
Everyone's freaking out over Elyse, and i'm over here cracking up at Janet's humor.
Shit, I didn't expect Elyse to be here! Pretty awesome set of guests G&S
I thought that one girl's obsession with batteries would doom them for sure.
Osgood looks really different without the glasses and scarf.
Her name is Elyse.
Who would have guessed there'd be dino DNA in a can of shaving cream? :P
ELYSE!!!
"Why would a can of shaving cream be there?" Oh I dunno, maybe a little film called JURASSIC PARK!
Is it bad I want them to try a Zero Escape series room? More specifically, the Transporter Room from Zero Time Dilemma? Seeing them trying to figure out pictorial base 13 would probably be an instant kill.
The real question is, why does the Dinosaur DNA give a RNA sequenze?
Buhlian Now this is vague memory from high school biology, so I'm probably mistaken. But DNA is 4 proteins(?) G, T, C and A. RNA basically builds DNA and has the complimentary proteins. So if G and C fit together you know that wherever there is a G in the DNA there was a C in the RNA.

I was confused when she said u i was like i thought this was dna?
Simple answer to differences:

So original comment is wondering why there is U in the strand of dino "DNA"
"Never in a million years would I ever open a can of shaving cream." Uh, I'm guessing she has never seen Jurassic Park!
Could anyone else just listen to Ingrid talk all day? Her voice and accent are fantastic.
I'm not saying it's impossible, but it feels very improbable that so many of these episodes have had close calls yet all succeeded. Aaaaahhhh yes Elyse 👌🏼
*See elyse in the picture*... well i guess ill give this a chance
Saw Elyse. Clicked instantly.
100th liker lel
Who is she?
Write 'Funhaus Avatar' or 'Funahus Canada' and watch the first video you see. After watching Funhaus for 12 hours straight, you can come back here and thank me.
Definitely the most adorable team on Escape! so far
so much talk about Elyse. Bump that, I see Amy I click. Amy Dallen is everything. I mean outside of Janet. Janet is always a treat. Always! Thank you G&S for Amy and Janet and their awesomeness!
elyse is blowing up!
this would have been a great episode of the Office, Michael in an escape room, dwight as the manager of the room, and it having silly and over the top traps, Jim coming up with the solutions
I was just watching Collider Heroes yesterday thinking, Amy should be on Escape.
Brah bring the rest of funhaus with you next time. Elyse and Lawrence would wreak this
Okay, escaping from "Dinosaur Park" is a really, really cool idea, but come on - no dino roars, tremors from dino footsteps outside or the occasional rubber raptor claw violently grasping at that little window? I feel like it was lacking in the dinosaur area for extra tension. Otherwise, very cool escape room.
Please do a Season 2! Please! Please! Please!
I get so excited when they succeed in these. I love this series!!!
I love Ingrid! Such a support role.
Where can I get an Owlbear shirt like Amy Dallen's wearing? It's fantastic. I'd also bet that the computer password has something to do with RNA bases.
you should do an escape with your coworkers from Kora!
Just great! Love that this has become a series PLEASE keep them coming!!!
Elyse and Janet Varney in the same room together?? Kaboom! The comedy level of greatness is so high.
Ingrid Oliver looks so much different in this than in doctor who.
Looks different from her Peep Show appearance too!
ELYSEEEEEEEE
Elyse!!!!
Clicked for the show, stayed for Elyse. Elyse is the best.
Meighan Pliske
It's Joel in a wig.
This and tabletop are the reasons I'm here
Watch Critical role.
Critical Role is the best thing G&S produces.
I third that motion, CR is the shit, you won't regret watching it. Plus there's probably hundreds of hours for you to binge, so... dive in, friend!
Watch it in chunks. Not saying TableTop and Escape aren't great shows, but Critical Role is amazin
Funhaus, the gaming branch.
*THE*
I just want to point that out.
Ask yourself. Are they wrong?
On the other hand, Geoff is taking a sabbatical, so thing will improve on that front.
Honestly had no idea this existed glad I found it now. Hope Elyse makes Benson proud!
Slow clap for Elyse figuring out the Jurassic Park reference: DNA sequence hidden inside Barbasol.
Ingrid Oliver's voiceover was gold.
Here for elyse
Every time Elyse collabs with other channels/shows the comment section is 90% about her lol
Canadian Comedy Queen
Great idea. I hope this is a new hit of the channel! Wait it's not new. Crap. Why have I been missing this.
Good episode! Now, when are we going to get a Critical Role episode of Escape?
I could listen to Ingrid all day long.
'I'd never open a container of shaving cream' ummm have you never seen Jurassic park? That's like... one of the main plot points, the DNA in the barbasol
WOW 3 red herrings in the first room...pretty savage and amazing they figure the first room out!!!
Your very either very kind to your guests in the last 2 minutes by allowing a delayed clock in their time limit, or unfortunately bad with continuity editing to create suspense...oh wait you just sped up the end, Elyse must have stopped looking for batteries.
The clock is in real-time; people who watched the newer episodes on Alpha have confirmed that not every episode ends in success.
I wish it was the entire Funhaus crew so that way it's people who knew each other. I ,also, would love to see James and Lawrence yelling at everyone :P
lol James and Lawrence would take it seriously Adam would keep doing shit wrong and Bruce would be in the corner farting and wheezing.
I was so excited when Oscar from The Office and Ingrid from Doctor Who came in!
The best part of escape games are the enthusiasm from the players.
I thought I saw Elyse in the thumbnail!
Vindetta you did
is that Elyse???
Oscar nuñez!!!!!!
Sweet. I'd like to see maybe the Ready Bet Go team. But who would go with them? Katers? Bert or Scott? Trisha? Sonja?
Please bring this back!
took me a while but I liked most of the "elyse!" comments...just to remind geek and sundry that most of us are only here cause funhaus.
yay, another show from G&S I can sit and wait for new episodes from
That darn walkie talkie.
Why is Janet Varney literally the best?
V. funny. Loved commentary about the darn batteries
it's lucky at least on of them saw Jurassic Park
Is this the closest connection between Rooster Teeth and Geek & Sundry? Am I gonna scream out of excitement because i just discovered this?
4 years late but here I was getting all down thinking I wasn't nerdy enough for G&S, when I was shown that they didn't know the Barbasol reference. Too bad they weren't raptors, LMAO!! #CleverGirl
Everyone has holes in their knowledge of geek culture.
I've never even seen Jurassic Park, so I wouldn't have got it either.
Oscar doing the little camera interviews, ah the nostalgia.
ELYSE,!!!!!
I feel like if they found batteries for the walkie talkie the recording should have said “ladies and gentlemen we got them”
NEED more Escape Rooms!!!
Man you guys got such big talent! I mean Elyse?! Come on!
Ive only seen Escape twice and just like last time I only know one of them, that for some reason I didn't reconize until their show was said.
Wait, guys, you forgot the batteries!
Love that shaving cream Jurassic Park reference lol
Dinosaurs definitely are like super models, nothing but bones.
Hey agent knuckle is on the case!
I’ve been binging these videos and now I really want to try an escape room, I’ve only ever done 1.
They should have made the screwdriver to be sonic.
Oscar Nunes, not the hero we deserved but the one we needed.
would be cool if they tracked the puzzles they get done
