The story of Dawud AS started with the story of Talut and Jalut. Dawud AS with a single slingshot dropped the tyrant Jalut, previously an unknown young lad, became famous overnight. As a ruler and a judge, he was extremely just to his subjects. Despite his mighty kingdom, he was always accessible to the general public who wanted him to preside and judge over their personal grievances. Allah SWT granted him the wisdom and intelligence to issue judgments which were fair and insightful. He was courageous, and Allah strengthened his kingdom, and bestowed upon him wisdom and sound judgment.

@@hassanmaqsood1910 After Allah created Prophet Adam alehi salam he extracted the souls of all human beings meaning sons and daughters of Adam and Adam alehi salam saw some bright light and he was impressed so he asked who he is and Allah told him he is one of your descendants who will come in his name is dawud alehi salam and so Adam alehi salam asked his life span and Allah said 60 years so Adam alehi salam said to give 40 years of his life to dawud alehi salam and so it was originally destined for Adam alehi salam to live 1000 years but then because of his wish he lived 960 years

Say “la Ilaha Illallah”.

Prophet Musa Alayhis Salam said:
I want something that particularly belongs to me.
Then ALLAH Ta’ala Said:
If the Seven Skies and the Seven Earths are put into one pan (of the scale) and “la Ilaha Illallah” is put into the other; “la Ilaha Illallah” would be heavier.”
Recite La ilaha illallah (100 times) everyday because it is heavier than the whole universe.

Allahu alem, according to tafsir ibn Kathir that I found online, Talut promised his daughter to the one who killed Jalut, and so Dawud also inherited kingdom through her.

I love this story, but I am guessing due to the shortness of time, he missed out some beautiful details about the different tests the army of talut went through and how at each test, the number fell dramatically to a seemingly tiny number.
80,000 to begin with -76,000 who failed first test and drank water from the river.. out of the 4,000 who remained 3686 were afraid to face jaluts army so 314 remained

Dawood and Sulaiman AS had the gteatest kingdoms.
Thank you for the efforts, but it would be much better if you started mentioning your references to events such as sling shot, birds hovering above the funeral, jealousy etc.. Sulaiman PBUH as told in the Quran was a king when tested and after which he asked Allah for a dominion that no human had before or after, he couldn't command birds before that

Can someone explain? The narrator mentions about samwell coming with an ark of covenant from the time of musa A.s. As per my understanding, Musa a.s came after Dawud a.s. So how can samwell getthe covenent before?

Still not the original zabur that used to be at the time of dawud because the ones we're holding in our hands nowadays are completely changed and some passages were added and some were taken off.. this is why God have sent the bible and then the Quran to confirm the message for the final time

Yes, Musa lived before Daud aleyhim salam. There were at least two prophets after Musa and Harun, one was Yusha bin Noon (Joshua), and the other was Shamwil or something likening (Samuel). Samuel (I'm using the english version of the name cause I'm not sure how the original spells), was the Prophet that bani israeel asked for a king from, and Allah chose Talut.
