Of the current StrawHats, Nami is the most smartest and actually has the most experience sailing on open water as evidenced by her stealing a boat and navigating it on the first episode. The other current StrawHats are just now learning the ropes. Even Zorro who has been traveling a lot probably books passage on a ship to hunt bounties, but never actually sailing a ship himself.
@@lastsunofkrypton7950 when Oda was asked to name the smartest characters in the East Blue, he put Nami third (Benn Beckman first and Kuro with his plans second). She is the brain cell
Taz, the actor who plays Sanji trained in kickboxing and as a chef so he could do as much as possible and while filming he actually cooked for the rest of the straw hats
In the manga/anime, Luffy tells us he wants a crew of at least 10 members and mentions a few important roles he wants to have filled and the ones he is most excited for is a cook & musician. A shipwright & doctor are some other examples of what he's looking for specifically.

"Is koby supposed to always look this strained", actually yes haha good catch! The actor did an absolutely amazing job. There are just so many actors doing an absolutely wonderful job (from all ages) in this show, its crazy.
The intro of Mihawk really shows you how big the world of One Piece can get and that our crew, as talented as they are, are still just small fish in very very big waters. I just have to say, I love Nami’s actress. Like you can really see everything she’s thinking in her performance. The look on her face when Zoro rejects their friendship and then when she’s contemplating getting on that boat and leaving. Emily Rudd kills it. I also just love the boys ribbing Nami about her ‘new boyfriend’ and Nami trying to fight her smile with a “you guys are the worst.” And then Zoro using the drinking game to try and get to know Nami because he knows she can’t resist a bet (which by the way, excellent set up from that last arc). It’s a real moment of vulnerability for the two characters on the ‘not crew’ that tend to be the most closed off. Love it!
Emily has always been a huge one piece fan. She lobbied like crazy to get the part. So if you combine her passion for the material with her talent you get gold :)
The coolest thing about this series is that the studio actually built these ships from scratch. The baratie, going merry and Garp's ship as well as some other ships are all real and built to life for this show. They put in the effort to build these ships rather than use CGI which is awesome.
Right, they're currently building more ships for season 2. The fact that they use their astronomical budget for actual physical ships is so much better then trying to use cg.
Some of the ships were also refitted props from the set of black sails, which was shot in the same studio! It makes me so happy they were given a second life because I love black sails so much

I'd like to point out the absolute legend that is Zoro being the big brother of the crew making sure he understandings exactly what's going on with the mysterious girl that's obviously got something going on. Its such a nice touch to his character. I absolutely love the 'you drink i drink' scene. It's totally exactly like him. He'd NEVER make small talk but it has to do with the crew and it's something he's cautious about. He doesn't do small talk. What a great scene.
@@christianschmid1440 I donno what you mean by Netflix had plans toship strawhats... Who the "Netflix" is here..... Not a spoiler but the guy that Sanji fed who said that they lost 50 ships and 5000 men is actually a member of Don Krieg (the one who got killed by Mihawk). The LA did it differently but in the source material, it was Mihawk who sliced those 50 ships as they entered the Grand Line. So that means he was just holding back during his fight with Zoro here and teaching him a lesson that the world is a big place and they're basically frog in a well

And I love that Zoro uses the same finishing move, though he actually shouts out its name In the manga. In the manga, Sanji's hair is always covering his left eye. Garp is definitely going easy that's the real reason why he took a bunch of Marine cadets instead of experienced soldiers. This is just a fun little way to kill time for Garp.
Loved the emotion you showed here. You're not alone in how you feel -- many reactors have been shocked by how that duel ended, and just how much stronger Zoro and the others have to get to realize their dreams. As far as I know, Mihawk's strange eyes aren't tied to any kind of power. He seems to have simply been born with them. @@sohailsadaqat6684 if he never did things like trick the girls into dancer outfits to have more skin to look at I would agree that it's just over-affection, but considering his interest is quite clearly sexual, then it'd be a good thing if he wasn't so honest about right in front of the woman he's fawning over.
@@funnylilgalreacts Of course. I love how much you’ve been loving this show and how invested you already are with the characters. first time I heard Taz's accent, I thought he was Australian. turns out he's technically Spanish, born in Canarias, to a British father. he and Iñaki do their own dubs to Spanish, as does Mackenyu in Japanese.
One thing I love about the transponder snails, as they are called, is they take on the physical appearance of whoever they're receiving a sginal from. In this case it means it has Garp's beard, but they have been known to take on distinctive characteristics of many others, as we will hopefully see in the future.
BS! That's why his name is Dracule "Hawk-Eyes" Mihawk! If you had read the manga, you would know why! "Mihawk possesses the ability to use Kenbunshoku Haki. True to his epithet, "Hawk Eyes", he has extraordinary eyesight, able to easily track Luffy's high-speed Gear 2 movements and strike with extreme precision. which neither Boa Sandersonia nor Boa Marigold could do."
@@MrPsych77 Yeah, if you look at it like an RPG powerscale I'd say he'd be a lot higher then level 20... I just meant like when people say someone is on another level? Well Mihawk is another 11 above that.
So I'm not super well versed in later bits of One Piece, but I think Mihawk's eyes are a more stylistic choice, not so much magic, he's meant to look like a hawk, even behaves like one. Notice he rarely blinks and instead makes small adjustments with his head. Dude is a monster in terms of power though. He stands at the peak of all swordsmen, he instantly clocked how strong Zoro was in that first clash and immediately relaxed his guard for the rest of the fight.
You know, I too have been attracted to clowns 😭 next episode is my favorite this one was a close second I’m glad you’re enjoying this series 😂😂😂 love watching you !
One of my favorite moments, both anime and live action, is how you can see Mihawk growing to respect Zoro during the fight. After he stabs him in the shoulder and Zoro just looks up at him, you can see it. Mihawk is stunned. He's not running. He's not backing down. Zoro will not stop. Such heart and conviction in someone so young, a true swordsman at that age, greatly impressed Mihawk. Letting Zoro live so he can one day give him the honorable fight he desires.

Not finished with the episode just yet. Just started actually, but when you were talking about who's up and his dad, it reminded me, I didn't mention the thing about the name usup is a lot like ASAP. As in Aesop's fables, the author to the boy who cried Wolf. I'm positive somebody already told you about this before. In your comments, but I had to mention it. Plus i'm so excited for you to meet sanji so here I go back into the video.❤❤
I don't know if someone said it but yes his eyes are stylistic choise that was in manga and later in anime, bc his full name is Dracule "Hawk Eyes" Mihawk, so his eyes reflect name.
Love the intros / outros of your videos !! It's why your channel is my favorite reactor channel. It's interesting to hear your thoughts and deductions about the story (especially in your tv shows reactions)
Lelenoa is a french pirate. Yes, our boy is named after the spanish hero Zoro A lot of the characters are named after real life pirates, places, and events. Really really fun fact Colleen Clinki beard is the va fr luffy. She is also a desendent of a pirate thus the clinkinbeard last name.
26:39 How the eyes look is stylistic choice and are no indication of any power unless the person has a devil fruit that revolves around their eyes. Dracule Mihawk does not have a devil fruit to change his eyes. His eyes are a design choice. (To my knowledge)
But you cannot trust Oda ever. The wrench in anything not discussed in the story yet. It being a design choice is a thing because "he would have written it in by now if it was a power". But that's been wrong so many other times.
Dropping Mihawk this early in the story was such a great move to switch up the normal escalation routine. From now until he reappears, every bad guy is going to be judged on a scale of "Could Mihawk just flatten him?"
24:50 “Is it?” Yes. This is the most straight forward goal. It’s a simple rule: Beat Mihawk in a sword duel to be the best. Problem is the parameters are set on a demonically high level
I was wondering how into the show she was getting, and the way she yelled "son of a bitch!" At the end of the episode answered my question pretty well lol
Coby is meant to be a coward. He was basically a slave for 2 years and could have died at any moment. So it really became his personality. He is basically an abused dog who hasn't realized yet that he found a nice home now.
Clicked on this so fast! So glad that you're enjoying the show! As far as I'm aware, nothing has been confirmed about Mihawk's eyes. So they might mean something, but no one knows. Also, believe it or not, Sanji's flirtiness was actually toned down in the live action compared to the anime... like a lot... 😂
Okay, just finish the video again. Amazing video I really love your editing. And your reaction to Sanji was great also, something people may have already told you in the comments, but I loved how you asked. Are they related about sanji and Zeff which I know you now know the truth of the characters, but not sure if you watched any of the behind the scenes stuff, but fun fact is the actor that played sanji actually worked with the actor that plays Zeph before this and I believe was his grandson. In the other movie, and he actually asked for this actor to be Zeph. I'm sorry, but I also have to say, I love your reaction winzoro got stabbed. But like I said in the previous video, love it when this man makes a vow, let's do it. And the guy that played mehawk, perfect casting, once again, really this whole entire cast is perfect, but the thing about Mehak, is he is literally ripped right out of the anime flashmanga. Look and personality. Also I haven't mentioned it before, but I use a speech to text to make my comments hopefully all of these have been readable.❤😂❤...
14:20 And again so much changing in the LA. Normaly, Luffy fights "Don Krieg" (the man with the canon...) in a long fight. So bad made... 26:40 The full name is Dracule "Hawk-Eyes" Mihawk! The eyes have a meaning!
With the bar, non-humans, the music, and looking passage to somewhere reminds me of Star Wars a New Hope in the cantana with Luke looking for a ship. I think Sanji is a Don Jaun type with good fighting skills. I see no cows nearby. Never heard of a sea cow?
12:41 this is the funniest response to Sanji when mine was “oh good they made Sanji charming rather than creepy” Although his lines are lame here. The response is very valid without context. I love how smooth he is reassuring the customers after knocking two people out in a dining room.
Aside from his comments towards Nami, I think Sanji is my favorite character next to Zoro. Without giving too much away, the coming episodes I feel helped that. It also helps they're both very hot!
35:53 I meaaannn, Jeff Ward (Buggy´s actor) is HOTTT! As much make-up as he was wearing (and amazing cgi nose effects), you can´t really hide the hotness of him. Like, I get that a first it might be weird to feel atracted to a choppable clown, but if you really think aobut it he´s a fantastic character (and yes, I know he´s technically evil or "the bad guy here", but still, kinda makes sense?). Personally, I do love Buggy´s interactions with the straw hats and just his personality is something I really like.

If you thought Sanji’s “come ons” were uncomfortable here, you’d not be a fan of how he is in the anime.
LOL I think I'm protective of Nami. I'm like "get that slimy shiz away from my girl"
@@funnylilgalreacts
Of course.
I love how much you’ve been loving this show and how invested you already are with the characters.
You’re one of my favorite reactors on the platform because of how you actually become connected to the characters in all the shows you watch.
Can’t wait to watch you see the rest of the season.
@@funnylilgalreacts Oooooh 👀👀👀The trust isn't completely there yet, but Protective-Angela-Mode is running high, huh?
I think she's been through a lot and is acting out of need rather than want.
I am fairly sure no one on earth likes that trait of sanji except oda and I say that as a sanji fan.
first time I heard Taz's accent, I thought he was Australian.
turns out he's technically Spanish, born in Canarias, to a British father.
he and Iñaki do their own dubs to Spanish, as does Mackenyu in Japanese.
LOL your jaw dropping at sanji lol
One thing I love about the transponder snails, as they are called, is they take on the physical appearance of whoever they're receiving a sginal from. In this case it means it has Garp's beard, but they have been known to take on distinctive characteristics of many others, as we will hopefully see in the future.
I love how fully engrossed you are in the characters and situations they find themselves in!
29:42 SOOOO much THANK YOU for the warning!
😄
So i was prepared. It really helps.
Zoro is wildly outclassed by Mihawk. His ability isn’t derived from eyesight. The yellow eyes are a stylistic choice.
12:00
How did I know *EXACTLY* what you were going to say next? 😂😂😂
This show is pure joy. Shows that just make you smile are so rare.
Mihawk is like, at least a dozen levels above our crew at this point. He's one of the most powerful people in the world.
Level 20 vs level 2 character
@@MrPsych77 Yeah, if you look at it like an RPG powerscale I'd say he'd be a lot higher then level 20... I just meant like when people say someone is on another level? Well Mihawk is another 11 above that.
@@adamcarlson2192 I show the mihawk clip of him decimating the krieg pirates as 'a day in the life of a level 20 DND character '
@@MrPsych77 Dnd is a GREAT analogy for that level comparison 😅
Level 20 swashbuckler vs level 4 fighter vibes
Watching you go through this and knowing all the secrets that are to come is an absolute treat!😂❤
Lol, 12:18 - 12:44 Sanji having the same effect on her as he has on every woman xD
Ladies love Sanji fr he just never really capitalizes out of respect
@@MarijnvdSterre interesting, cus it’s fine for her to sexualize and objectify Zoro but if Sanji does a little smooth, minor flirting suddenly it’s “eww”. Go figure
@@Drake.Pendragon Did she do it in a way Zorro noticed? If you do not understand the difference between the two, I really am sad for you.
@@MarijnvdSterre Zoro might not have seen it but as a viewer, i just felt disgusted hearing her talk and act that way constantly every time they appear on screen. Don't try to defend or justify her actions or tell me how i should feel cus it's my opinion
@@Drake.Pendragon Didn't tell you how you should feel now did I? People feel attraction to other people. If you have a problem with that... maybe this is not the channel for you to watch.
Sanji is a bit much but he never crosses the line, I love him.
You know what? When I come here in the comments I always compliment your reactions, that they're great, that you're funny (and I stand by those compliments).
But this time I have to compliment the edit, that has been funny as hell also! The sync between the edit and your reaction is top notch!
You forgot Gum Gum Whip! He defeated Axe Hand Morgan with Gum Gum Whip, a long kick
It's Ooo-sopp, not yousopp. It's a pormanteau of Uso and Aesop, Uso being the Japanese word for lie, and of course the famous Aesop of Aesop's fables.
She’ll surely get it… eventually. Someday, somehow, someway she’ll eventually get it.
@@borjankosarac3645 She always does!
I scroll through the comments see if someone will mention this.
Your reaction to the end of that episode was amazing. I almost laughed out loud in the gym.
Gum Gum Whip was also in the first episode against axe hand when zoro had to crouch.
Hahaha your scream in the end, cute 😂😂❤❤
It’ll be fun seeing her go back & forth on characters. Expect to see some of that next episode, lol.
Yes, our boy is named after the spanish hero Zoro
A lot of the characters are named after real life pirates, places, and events.
Really really fun fact
Colleen Clinki beard is the va fr luffy. She is also a desendent of a pirate thus the clinkinbeard last name.
26:39
How the eyes look is stylistic choice and are no indication of any power unless the person has a devil fruit that revolves around their eyes.
@SylverQrow well, you don't know exactly ngl, even in the Manga you don't know yet, if the yellow eyes and the nickname "Hawk-eye" has a reason ^^'
@@pritzenritz629 unless the outright say otherwise hint that it is something other than H*** imma continue to assume its crazy genetics
3:07 why did this make me laugh so much this early in the morning?
😂😂
Dropping Mihawk this early in the story was such a great move to switch up the normal escalation routine. From now until he reappears, every bad guy is going to be judged on a scale of "Could Mihawk just flatten him?"
I friggin loved this show it's so much fun, and always a good day when FLG throws another reaction out for it
Btw Fleet Admiral is the head of the Marines. Garp is a Vice-Admiral.
24:50 “Is it?”
Yes. This is the most straight forward goal.
It’s a simple rule: Beat Mihawk in a sword duel to be the best.
Problem is the parameters are set on a demonically high level
:D I like this editor. Great work!
I laughed so hard at your reaction when the episode just cut out. Thank you for that and I love your reaction vids! 😄
Your read on Sanji is absolutely perfect!
26:35 the moment in the manga, anime and live action where everyone thought "um......zoro........maybe this wasn't such a good idea......"
Taken back by Sanji being overly flirty right after you used the term "man meat"...sheesh
Loved your reaction at the end. So, just to let you know, Mihawk is a taste of how strong One Piece characters can be.
29:42 THAT came from a DARK place 😂🤣
Gods, I'm so impatient to see the rest of your reactions! 😂😂😂
14:20 And again so much changing in the LA. Normaly, Luffy fights "Don Krieg" (the man with the canon...) in a long fight. So bad made...
26:40 The full name is Dracule "Hawk-Eyes" Mihawk! The eyes have a meaning!
“I don’t see no cows nearby” however 😂 seacows do exist
I like your comments before and after the show, the second half of the season is better. Happy journey
I'm having a really hard time at the moment, but your videos have helped to distract me for a while, Thank you! ❤
Saaame! I hope things get better for you
@@laurenceking3362 thanks!! I hope the same for you, take care!!
Garp actualy is proud of his grandchild tough he is a pirate.
With the bar, non-humans, the music, and looking passage to somewhere reminds me of Star Wars a New Hope in the cantana with Luke looking for a ship.
I think Sanji is a Don Jaun type with good fighting skills.
I see no cows nearby. Never heard of a sea cow?
"Wow, they are treating me better than the rest of the population, how uncomfortable." It shows that you have suffered a lot in your life. 😂
Amazing to watch you noodle through things. Yes, you miss some, but you're darn good at guessing correctly too. Mostly. ☺
Mihawk is what happens when a level 3 adventuring party pulls the attention of a lvl 99 encounter.
12:41 this is the funniest response to Sanji when mine was “oh good they made Sanji charming rather than creepy”
Although his lines are lame here.
Oh episode 6 changes my perspective greatly!
The fact that you haven't once called her mobile snail a shellphone, a little disappointed 🤣
Luffy has truly managed to lure you out on his adventures and that mever fails to bring you and us so much smiling!
If I spent all my time on the ocean eating fish, the thing I'd want most going to a restaurant is "not fish"
You are amazing!!! can´t wait for you to know them more!!! You are gonna cry!!!!
hahahah i loved the ending reaction 😂😂😂
Reading the mangas I know how Sandi is I think you will love him in the future 😊
This live action is great. I really like it, as a very VERY slight One Piece fan.
