My favorite Route 66 stops

🛣️Must see locations for a Route 66 Roadtrip
🔹Winslow, AZ - A town made famous by the Eagles’ song “Take it Easy,” this is a must stop for any fan. Standin’ on the Corner Park commemorates Glen Frey and the Eagles with a statue and a Flatbed Ford. Even if you are not familiar with the Eagles, it is a great stop because of the giant Route 66 mural in the intersection.
🔹 Holbrook, AZ - Make sure to stop at the Wigwam Motel and check out the classic cars and petrified wood located around the property. Also, all the rooms are Wigwams! I actually stayed the night in one of these for a fun experience.
🔹 Petrified Forest National Park - Just outside of Holbrook, AZ, this national park is small but has a lot of offer. There is petrified wood throughout the park, but the best location for it is at the Park Headquarters. There are also badlands, ancients ruins, Route 66 history, and Arizona’s famous Painted Desert.
🔹Big Texan Steak Ranch - Think you can eat a 72 oz steak in 1 hour? If you can it’s free! The Big Texan is known for this famous steak challenge.
🔹Cadillac Ranch - 10 Cadillacs buried in the ground with graffiti spray painted all over. The unique and gimmicky roadside attractions, like Cadillac Ranch, is what made Route 66 so special.
🔹 Gateway Arch National Park - St. Louis has always be referred to the gateway to the west. This national park with the tallest monument in the world is a great stop to ride to the top of the arch and see all of St. Louis.
