      I have major neck issues that is causing extreme pain with neck, arms, shoulder, etc. Waiting to see the spine doctor. Also having alit of pain in the lower back. Would these be safe to do in the meantime. Reason I ask is I'm trying these and it's making my back hurt worse. Is this normal

      Do you do all these exercises in one session or are these meant to be based on strength? I’m 35 and getting back into it again. Just wanted to know. Thank you very much if you happen to answer

    I waited a week to post this comment to make sure I wasn’t experiencing the placebo effect. I’ve had lower left back pain for over 6 months, especially when sitting. Found your video and honestly felt some relief after the first day. 5 days later of doing the routine every day and the pain is essentially gone. I can actually sit comfortably and feel no pain. Looking forward to building some more strength with this and get back to my heavy lifting. Thank you so much for making this video.

    I’m glad I have found this video. When I was 29 years ago I ended up having lower back pain which ended up being L4 and L5. which I had to end up having 2 injections first was because the disc was bulging and I was in a lot of pain. Yet it did help with the pain after 2 weeks but the pain came back. Turns out after having an MRI the disc ruptured on me causing the disc’s to put against my sciatic nerve. Which that’s where the 2nd shot came in due to the sciatic nerve being pressed because of the disc. After that my back was starting to pop back into place after the recovery my doctor wanted me to do exercise on my back since I’m still at risk to where I would need surgery if I didn’t strengthen my back.

    Thank you for showing these exercises. From doing stretches everyday that I learned in physio, I have not had my lower back go out on me in over four years. However, my back does feel weak and I worry with all the lifting I do at work, I could strain it, if not put out my back entirely. (I have mild scoliosis at the base of my spine) I have started slowly with just the first two sets of exercises, the easier versions. I am able to do these with no pain and hope to build each week. I can really feel the strengthening in my lower back and butt. Thank you again.

    I am very happy that you are providing these exercise method videos to strengthen the lower back...i am a disabled military veteran who was just diagnosed with slight disk herniation at 3, 4, and 5... I stand at 5ft 11inch and i lost about 15 lbs over the last 1 1/2 mths... I originally was 230 lbs for about the last 3 yrs...my ideal is to stay at 185 to 190 4 life w/ a solid core... I have good abdominal muscles, but very weak back muscles and glutes... I believe the lumbar has been over compensating for the weak back muscles 4 years(which lead to the herniations)..is it possible to achieve my goal in 6 mths to a year? Thanks!

    My lower back is usually okay except when cycling when it can be painful for days after.

    I've had severe back problems since Summer of 2021 while my mid back has gotten better my lower back has not. MRI's show nothing in my lower back that should be causing me so much instability, stiffness and pain if I move it in any kind of natural way. I finally got the courage to try one of your exercises the one where you raise you hips off the floor. Today was my third day and I worked up to 10 reps. I have not seen any improvement yet in my lower back but it's probably too early.

    Love the video! I am in my mid 20s and struggle with low back pain. I believe this is due to my lack of flexibility and core strength. How often do you suggest I do these exercises? Everyday? Once a week? Along with that, how often should I be doing ab workouts to strengthen my core? Thank you!

    • @toneandtighten
      @toneandtighten  2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Thank you! Three days a week for both these and core is a great place to start!

    I felt a good bit of this in the hamstrings and interior knee strain. I really need to strengthen my low back/hips because whenever I try doing an ab workout routine, my low back (sciatic area) pops, which I'm guessing means weak low back muscles?

    Strained my back at work lifting a solid metal utility cover. Why they make them this heavy is beyond me. My mistake was not warming up for a heavy lift as my back was in neutral position and I lifted with my legs. These excercises make my back better bit already. Thanks

    I have awful lower back pain as a 15 year old for 5+ months. Bending over to pick something up hurts. It all started when i cracked my back too much, i have no idea if that is the cause but the pain started after that. Im positive i have a pinched nerve but i hope this helps
    Anyways i will be adding these exercises in my workout routine. Probably before my actual workouts as a warmup. I will be giving an update every week

    I am 70 and around 6 months ago I got what I call ‘old man’s lower back’ pain - which is most obvious when getting out of a chair or bed and when bending down to pick something up. I walk every day around 6 miles and I don’t feel any pain when walking. Would these particular exercises be of most benefit to me, or are there others that you would recommend? Thanks for great videos.
