You do get in-depth videos that are the best out there!. I don't care about drag racing or really 0-60 times, except to compare to other cars. I been wheel to wheel road racing with NASA for over 15 years. I would like to see some road course track time trails of posted lap times at different road courses just to see how fast they are on a road course and compare to my race cars just for fun, I think it would be close and do well on road courses.

I would also appreciate a comparison on efficiency. I own a few fast cars that average single digit mpgs. My Accord is my grocery getting workhorse. It would be nice to not only know which tunes are fast and powerful, but also which tunes are refined enough to make daily practical.

Hey Chad, love your work! I have a gen 10 accord 2.0 turbo with a CVT. If I wish to modify my car (ECU, new intake and exhaust etc.), how would the performance be compared to those with an automatic or a manual? Are there any drawbacks or concerns with a CVT?
Thank you 👍. I appreciate the support and positive comment. It’s my understanding that the CVT only came on the 1.5L and the 10AT came on the 2.0L. If you do have the CVT then yes, their are some concerns regarding whether the transmission can handle the additional torque an ECU tune like KTUNER would provide.
The 2.0T doesn’t have a cvt
Mine mistake. Yes, it's a 1.5T CVT.

1.5 is a Cvt ! 10 auto is the 2.0t

It's just a matter of time before someone is able to rebuild the trans, run a higher stall converter, run the posi diff from the civic, and build the motor up to 600-800hp and run 9s in their daily driver. Then the accord R will come out and the honda parts dept will be quite busy!

Maybe one day there will be a how-to on adding LSD to the auto. There’s a video on TH-cam you’ve probably seen where they swap in the Type R’s LSD, but that was on a 6-speed. Makes me want it real bad!
@@Ryan57Garr Someone, somewhere is working on it and if not, somebody needs to step up and make it happen. Nothing done the first time is easy but it gets that way after that one person takes the initiative. Yeah I did see the video for the manual. The other alternative is to get ahold of Eaton or someone and have it custom made.
I feel that whoever does get this done first will probably want to sell a complete 10A unit that comes with a higher stall converter, upgraded trans internals, and the Type R LSD unit. You have to tear the trans apart anyway, may as well make the other upgrades. A higher stall will make you .5 quicker by itself!

I love manuals and am about to buy a 10th Gen. Any opinion on manual vs the 10sp ? I've always loved manuals but do these autos do well ?
The fastest Accords are 10sp Auto. If you want a 6sp, get one while you can as they don’t sell them anymore. 😧
@@TheLemonFactor I guess I just wonder if the 10sp can deal with the low 400hp range but it seems like they do fine. I love manuals but maybe this isn't the right car. I had 2 manual Acura legends that I loved.
@@johnjohnson1997 I have the manual 2.0t sport bone stock and its a blast. may not ever be as fast on a quarter mile as these but who cares. makes driving to work and back feel like the Monte Carlo. you will pay a small premium though bc they are rare and 2020 is the last production year

@SSDracer is a master of the 10AT X Gen launch. Check out his page... he's raced damn near everything in his Accord 2.0 Sport and it's amazing to see him beat some cars that he most likely shouldn't (and he's bone stock!)

Unsure 🤷♂️. There is a Garret turbo upgrade option that will fit using some of the CTR parts as well, just don’t have the type / spec off the top of my head.

Not sure why you're second guessing... haven driven a 6-spd, it's a great car, and relatively rare. Enjoy it and have fun.

The 6-spd is more engaging to drive, and you have precise control over where you are in the RPM range - the auto shifts permanently (prior to redline).

Good question! Knock on wood, they seem to be holding these high levels of torque quite well 🤷♂️
Unfortunately Joels turbo blew up, he parted out the accord. I feel bad for the guy.

Would it not be great to time travel back to 1970. Most stock muscle cars were mid 14 second . How mad would them folks be to get dusted by a car that gets 30 mpg . How far we have come . Our Miata’s would beat a stock big block Chevelle.
I’ve often thought if that, especially when people comment how “fast” or “slow” a car is - it’s also relative to what you’re use to and have experienced when first being introduced to cars 😁🤔

The Accord 2.0t was out of my price range when I was car shopping so I "settled " for a 22 Accord Sport Special Edition with a 1.5t, and with a drop in K&N air filter, I can now get to work and the grocery store a lot faster than I used to. 😁👍😅✌️peace...
