diegopicker I love that. He did something similar at msg in ny on night 3 this past tour with “like spinning plates”. Thom forgot “I’m livin in cloud cuckoo land “ and just sang the “our bodies floating ...” part x2. Then he seamlessly added “I’m livin in cloud cuckoo land “ later in the song and it worked beautifully.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard Johnny’s guitar sound as good either and Thom misses the lyrics 🤦🏼♂️ but totally redeems himself HEY MISTER LIGHT MAN!! (For the person mentioning my boys from LA)
I think part of what makes Radiohead a great band to see live is because frequently each member seems to take on a certain emotionin their performances. Thom is like sorrow and perhaps angst. Jonny is like anger and frustration. Ed is like calmness and nonchalance. Colin is like shyness and the distancing of one's self. Phil is like seriousness and down-to-business. That's just the way I see it in some of their performances.
you all prolly dont give a damn but does anybody know a way to get back into an Instagram account? I somehow forgot the password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me.
@Aiden Camden Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm trying it out atm. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
This has become my favorite performance of there there especially because of that missed line! I love how everyone went quiet as thom sang "why so green and lonely, heaven sent you to me" one of my favorite lyrics from them, sung while everyone else is silent... So good
So.....did you like get a group of people together at the concert, have them all film it from their view, and then bring all the cameras together to edit? genius
Spontaneous or planned, in mho, it is the sign of a great band that these little variations and reprises can be thrown in in a live performance. It only adds to the artistry. Some of the best footage I've seen of this anthem.
At like 3:00 they fuck up and lose the thread of the song - Jonny's scratching his head - and they have to find an alternative route to the emotional crescendo of the middle third of the work... and jonny just punishes the home stretch! Thom's reprise of the "heaven sent you to me"... is a brilliant coda. These guys are so present in their work that even a screw up is a revelation. Hail hail
I'll show this video for anyone who ask me why radiohead is my favourite band... Otherworld chemistry, an amazing stage presence, stunning capacity of turning mistakes in something beautiful and unique and one of the best musicists aka jonny greenwood
@3:43 Ed looked at Thom to see whether he would sing the original lyrics "Heaven sent you to me" or continue the line "We are accidents waiting to happen" after making the mistake
saw the show last night (5/31/12) @ Pru.Ctr. NJ....infuckincredible! powerful,hypnotic,transcending/loud!........the new tour is a must for any musician/music lover/earthling.......one of the most original bands i've ever seen in 40 years of concerts
It seemed like a deliberate tribute to the other members, to children, or a personal something. Also I think it was a deliberate exposure of those lyrics in a sensitive quiet way and to add interest to the set.
It's meant to be music. if your listening/watching for precision, check ping pong out it's amazing. Or Take it for what it is and don't worry wether it's a mistake with a classy reaction or whatever, that's why i love Radiohead, because there unpredictable live and always pull it off to the highest degree possible.
Ed's unsure look at 3:44 was hilarious indeed. Also that and maybe a couple other things give away that Thom had forgotten the lyrics or skipped them or whatever and that it was not "planned." Maybe Thom had done that at a previous performance like someone pointed out but he probably also sang "We are accidents waiting to happen" 4 times like he did here. Thom's ending was great, though. :D
this song was called 'subtle' before. It didnt occur to me until now that subtle is such an inappropriate for this song, so wonderful and all the details are beautiful.
@okstereohead dude if i´m fucking surprised, i dont imagine about the guys... just look at Colin´s face!!!!! i mean, the way that thom sings "why yo sou green and lonely, heaven send you to me" its just beautiful, sounds sweet...
@CaptainPengu Umm... Are you watching the same video? Ed didn't pick up a guitar the whole time... Thom was the one playing the guitar at the end and beginning.
When Jonny boy grabs his guitar you better put your seatbelts on, cuz shit is gonna get real lol
very kind from thom singing "why so green and lonely?..." lyrics right after the performance cause he forgot to sing it! :)

listen to what Jim Morrison does lyric wise , when he sings "The End"
Got a video of it anywhere?

@@patthewoodboy He finally became Jim Morrison

TKOblue Spot on. I've always thought this.
It all comes together to make arguably the greatest band ever. Imo
I agree

Gotta be one of the best versions of this song with that lovely extended ending.
Why so greedy and lonely?
Yez
It was lovely, but I'm pretty sure he only did it because he forgot the words during the song itself, lol. That smirk at the end was the clue.
JONNY IS A GENIUS!!! The way he plays is insane!
Johnny is a crazy fucking man. Love him!
This has become my favorite performance of there there especially because of that missed line! I love how everyone went quiet as thom sang "why so green and lonely, heaven sent you to me" one of my favorite lyrics from them, sung while everyone else is silent... So good
I could listen and watch Jonny Greenwood a day long he is amazing
4:05 Kill it Jonny! I always get goosebumps here!
Sis I Si I envy you that amazing experience!
Greenwood is my favorite guitarist...he is pure genius !
I will finally see him and Thom Yorke live july 15th with The Smile 💕
Best version ever
Yep!
jonny fucking rips that lead part in this song sooooo hard live and it is the most amazing thing to watch
Johnny Greenwood, no doubt one of the most innovative musicians and guitarist ever IMO, cheers Mate!
Jonny Greenwood is the most talented person in the world holy.
sorts ,. When the song hits that climax, he's just murdering it. So good. Thrilling even.
it's kind of a crime to call him a guitarist
@@TylerTylerTylerbro's the Multi instrumentalist now.
I couldn't agree more he's so fascinating to listen to and watch perfection at its best
Love the way they all play any instrument so versatile
its either a glorious mistake or a great ending
glorious ending
obsessed with the way jonny moves
Me too he doesn't miss a beat so into the groove
Listening to this guy is 10x better than going to my shrink...
This show is one of the bests shows that i ever seen. Masterpiece, completely.
I was there.
Best two hours in my life. I swear if Radiohead would make concert regulary every week, I would buy tickets for every single one of them!
so funky and vintage yet so modern and innovative! brillant
I love his smile at the end, it's like he's saying "yep, that was amazing"
So.....did you like get a group of people together at the concert, have them all film it from their view, and then bring all the cameras together to edit? genius
best there there there ever was
God is real... God is on this beautiful planet... God's name is JONNY GREENWOOD! ♥
And Ed O'Brien is sexy Jesus.
I'll go with it!

Man I love how Johnny Greenwood just looks like he is trying to chop his guitar in two when he is picking a solo
That ending gave me the chills
Simplemente amo cuando Jonny se vuelve loco. La mezcla perfecta entre técnica y pasión.
4:05 What a rush when this kicks in.
schallrd1 Its just thrilling.
I'll show this video for anyone who ask me why radiohead is my favourite band... Otherworld chemistry, an amazing stage presence, stunning capacity of turning mistakes in something beautiful and unique and one of the best musicists aka jonny greenwood
I just show them Jigsaw Falling Into Place. All the friends of mine have told me it's their favourite Radiohead song.
love the way jonny is a normal guy, then he plays this song and all the instruments merge into him and he all becomes one instrument god
@3:43 Ed looked at Thom to see whether he would sing the original lyrics "Heaven sent you to me" or continue the line "We are accidents waiting to happen" after making the mistake
hahah! exactly!
Do it once, it's a mistake. Do it twice, it's intentional.
I cry hysterically of how amazing this is, and just the thought that I won't have the privilege to ever see them live.
Wow. Chills and goosebumps
Love this fucking band! One of the greatest bands of all time and most underrated at the very least.
"Just cause you feel it, doesn't mean it's there"... my mantra.
Just love this one of their best
Insane. Classic. Wow.
@4:10 "Oh Hi. My name is Johnny Greenwood. I'm going to hit this guitar and awesome noises will come out of it. You're welcome."
They truly are untouchable, when these guys die they'll be making music for heaven.
He is absolutely brilliant
this is really great footage
To hell with anyone that doesn't like radiohead
good job guys, really good quality!
I want to see them in concert more than any other band. Thanks so much for putting this on youtube!
I was there.. that's the only thing that matters.. I saw LIVE one of the best bands of all times...
perfect show in perfect Prague :)
Holy shit! Jonny nearly exploded.
3 drummers
4 guitarists
3 singers
Radiohead has it all!
Who’s the 3rd singer?
arid bitch- phil sings a bit!
@@microcassettes thom,edd,phil
Don't ask me why but every time I look at this song live, and it kicks in like at 4:06 in this video, I get so emotional, it moves me every time.
Me too
I doubt it was a mistake, there was an obvious pause when everyone stopped playing. He just decided to continue, which made a beautiful ending.
Thank you and your group for your superb efforts in recording this and the website is great! Love Radiohead... incomprehensible genius.
I just love this soooooooo much..
Really awesome!
Lucas Vallim fancy seeing you here lol love the covers :)
I got goosebumps when he did that at the end.
awesome love this song!!!!!!!!!!! :D getting ready for the new album WOOOOOOOOO!!!
I swear Jonny just makes drum sticks appear when he goes back to drumming. Though, plausible, as he is a god
what a fantastic concert. and a fantastic band.
jonnys improv skills are crazy
Thom's just smiling 'cause he knows that was hella sick!! LOVE THEM!!!!

Oh man the end bit DAMN
Seeing them! In 8 days
It's no mistake. In some other recordings from the 2009 tour, they perform the end of this song almost exactly the same.
THAT WAS FUCKING PERFECT
When seeing them live, sometimes it feels like the arena is about to turn into a UFO and take us all back home

5:58 Colins like hell yeah this is awesome
johnny went super saiyan
Damn, I'm wearing the exact same Hoodie as Jonny does in this vid, right now... now I feel like a hipster...
0:04 you can hear a guy yell "There There!".
this is something easy to say when you see that Jonny and Ed have those drum sets they always use to play there there.
Jonney
Why so greeenWOOD
respect
Jonny 🤩🤩🔥
this is it. Just fucking it!!!!!!
Oxe, melhor banda de sempre.
THe ending is flat out disgusting. i love you.
Even the greatest band in the world sometimes make mistakes! Nice save at the end, though.
Sensacional porra!

its the way he looks down and too the left - totally pissed.
even with the "fuck up", this is probably the best rendition of the song ive heard next to glastenbury 2003.
@CaptainPengu Umm... Are you watching the same video? Ed didn't pick up a guitar the whole time... Thom was the one playing the guitar at the end and beginning.
I love how the crowd doesn't get the fact that the line "we are accidents waiting to happen" makes them dance like idiots..
velho acredito eu que, os caras sao muito bons ao vivo.
