End at 65. I want a new city too but my OCD will cause me to book flights from Birmingham to Sydney and finish the series on a proper number if you decide to end on 62. Do a first person view through the city episode on 64 and then on 65 do a destroying the city episode
Dylzhaar do you actually have ocd or are you just using it as a joke because trust me it's a very VERY SERIOUS CONDITION but if you do hello my friend.
I was more than ready for this to end at part 60! The city's just becoming too big now, a fresh start would be SOOO much more interesting. Maybe start a map with snow in it ? I'd love to see that. And as you said, if you're not enjoying it, we won't either :)
I also think it's time to move on to another city. I was one of the ones that initially voted for ending it in the episode 70, but now I think it's too much. I would prefer to see another city grow and become attached to it :) Also, yay for the first person tour!
I voted to end on part 60 haha. For the new city, you should have more subway stations and less train stations. And yess for a grid based city! Can't wait!
New cities are always fun to start! You watch Flux, strictoaster, or fresh popcorn at all? Theyre all very detail and design focussed which you might like. And they use the hottest new mods and assets so you can get a feel of what's been going on in the workshop
I just saw u on my recommended so I decided to check ur vid out! And tbh, it's awesome! The fact that u have spent this much of ur life just to do this and the sims, is just mind blowing! I will definitely look forward to watching more of ur vids! Also, AMAZING CITY! It's huge!
Tip for Season 4: I set up timed traffic lights that always allow right turns, and I use the lane connector to make sure that someone right turning doesn't interfere with traffic that is going into the same road. For you it would be left turning. It fixes the left turn issue
Another tip: when you have feeder roads off of the highways, make them one way roads with 3 or 4 lanes each going in the same direction as the highway. It splits up traffic and evens it out more on both sides.
I'm excited for the new city. I just realised that I was only going to check out one or two videos of Cities: Skyline to decide if I wanted to buy it or not. I decided that I want to play the game but never get around to it because I'm stuck watching YOU play it. THAT WAS MONTHS AGO.
Can you make sure to look at the one building in the whole city that you named. I cant remember what it was called ( something tower (maybe)) but it was a reference to a previous lets play
I guess it would be cool if you managed to build a city that's interesting enough for 100 episodes. Maybe you should experiment more with infrastructure, stacked highways and super-busy railways like in Japan....
You got a lot of life out of this city, I support your decision (not that I have a say in it lol) to start a new one! Looking forward to seeing the next city grow!
I agree with you Flabs, it's time for something new. I think it's time for the ''walkthrough of the entire city''- episode like in the end of season 2. And after that a new city. But no hurries. If it doesn't feel fun, then wait. If you don't find it fun, we wont. I think it's as simple as that.
You should do you're best to make a modern grid city layout for your next one rather than a city that has a lot of curves, and try and make your city more localized rather then spread out in an effort to make a mega city.
I voted for ending on 60 and I stand by that. It might be fun to do a tour episode for the finally. Maybe play it like you're a tourist just arriving by cruise ship to spend a week in this great town, travel to your hotel, then travel around to see the sights; Stadium, big parks, theater district, etc... (edit: which you then said you'd do :-D)
I originally voted for Part 60 in the 'survey' thing. I didn't doubt your city building or anything like that, I just felt you couldn't produce like 15 or some more episodes with good content without destroying the city or tearing your or my hair out. I'm in Season 4!
There's no point in continuing with the city if you can't be bothered to and it's not fun anymore. Making a new city will make your Cities: Skylines videos much more fun to watch!
Yes finally! for the next series can you use a sims 3 heightmap. like Twinbrook or Bridgeport, or even make your own map using a sims 3 heightmap image which you can download and import into the game. I think that would be pretty cool.
Hey there :) When you do the live streams, will you record them and put them on TH-cam later? I ask because I will never make it to your live streams in time ;) And by the way I think a city layout without perfect grids is way more interesting to look at.
In the next city, I think the only way to minimize shipping congestion is for the cargo harbors to be spaced far apart. Certainly not sharing the same river.
I think you should start a new city! I voted for it to end at 70 but now I kinda regret it because I don't think there's much you can do now for this city.
Call it a season, dragging it on is honestly just as miserable for me as it is for you. Also whenever you create a new city please use demand master, I don't think we need to see you struggling for money in the beginning because ultimately you're going to make a profit.
There is no reason to use demand master. He can just turn money off and build whatever and still have a functioning city rather than ignoring that part of the game entirely.
I think you should put the city onto the steam workshop for people to see and download, and maybe share what they've done with the city and make it a fan involved thing :)
Not sure if you're aware or not, but in the options for traffic president, there's an option for advanced traffic AI. You have to turn it on for each individual city, but once you turn it on it stays on, unless you turn it off. I found that having it on helps with the lane usage issues. From my experience it keeps traffic from all bunching up in one lane especially if there are multiple for them to use to get to the same place.
ok, i have a couple suggestions for your next city: 1. make a little college town. like the majority of the town is the university buildings (like separate buildings like dorms, classes, etc, just find mods on steam) and then have some commercial/residential surrounding the college. 2. instead of having above ground power lines everywhere mucking up the surface, just keep using underground power lines to keep the terrain clean. and if you do use above ground lines because of some reason, just remind yourself to go back and replace it with underground power lines in the future. 3. GENERALIZE YOUR INDUSTRY. might not make a lot of sense early on in the town when most of the town doesn't have much of an education, but as your population gets more and more educated, industry that has a specific industry type won't need as many of those uneducated people, so general industries will allow more educated people to work. 4. Make a super large, like san francisco large, or even los angeles huge, high density area with super tall upgradable skyscrapers (pretty sure you can find upgradable skyscrapers in steam, since the ingame skyscrapers don't seem to be as tall as they seem) and actually create it with a very nice skyline. find some nice tall skyscrapers to accentuate the area. and in case you didn't realize, some inspiration came from fluxtrance's cities. ;)
100% time for a new city
Also in the new city can you make it a bit like Dylan's emerald county city, super detailed!
Jess Burn damm you fine
Jess Burn agreed
Are you seriously creeping a girl on TH-cam rn?
I've watched the last maybe 15 episodes on 1.5 or 2 times speed cause I can't sit through half an hour of this city anymore :')
Just end at 65, it's a happy medium. I did want the series to end at 60 anyway because I felt that there just isn't much more this city can handle.
End at 65. I want a new city too but my OCD will cause me to book flights from Birmingham to Sydney and finish the series on a proper number if you decide to end on 62. Do a first person view through the city episode on 64 and then on 65 do a destroying the city episode
Dylzhaar best idea ever! Flabs, pleas listen to this guy or else i will also fly to Sydney with him, from Portugal.
Dylzhaar and my OCD will make me book a ticket on the XPT to go from Brisbane to Sydney
I will buy tickets for all of us, the only thing your paying for is a flight to Texas and the flight back home
Dylzhaar do you actually have ocd or are you just using it as a joke because trust me it's a very VERY SERIOUS CONDITION but if you do hello my friend.
ARE YOU MAD! A FLIGHT FROM BIRMINGHAM TO SYDENEY COSTS AROUND £500 ONE WAY!
Well if you are not happy with the city just move on/ end it in the next couple of episodes
Yakscape the "next couple" will be 70
Jt Howard no it will be 65
CougarTheOtaku Like maybe an episode or 2 to finish up a few things and then an episode for the tour around the city
CougarTheOtaku yeah but I mean the proper cinematic thingy
Grace Bach it should be 62
I was one that voted for episode 70; but this city is complete. Go ahead and move on to the next. Awesome job done!
Make sure you do a first person city video because I really loved that
Hamish FC yes I would love that too!!!!
I'm absolutely loving this city and would love to see it develop more. Please don't end before 70
I just wanted to see the city develop and become absolutely huge but now it's all going to start again😥
In the next city, please do more Lane Management! I love to watch when you do it!
I was more than ready for this to end at part 60! The city's just becoming too big now, a fresh start would be SOOO much more interesting. Maybe start a map with snow in it ? I'd love to see that. And as you said, if you're not enjoying it, we won't either :)
12:20 I died at the tractor.
I'd say move on to the next city. No sense in doing something you don't enjoy.
Yeah, just finish on 65 or even 62 if you must
I'm ready for a new city as well, James, let's go!
I also think it's time to move on to another city. I was one of the ones that initially voted for ending it in the episode 70, but now I think it's too much. I would prefer to see another city grow and become attached to it :)
Also, yay for the first person tour!
Season 4: San Flabsisco
amirite?
End anytime makes you happy :) After all it's your city
BRING BACK CITIES SKYLINES
I think you should end it soon. Maybe make an episode to look through the city and reminisce :D
Finally!! cities skylines is back
I know that you just came back from your trip ,and still tried, hope you'll recover soon. You're the best,James.
Whenever the disasters come to cities skylines out you should unleash destruction upon your cities and see how well they hold against the disasters.
Falbalik you should end a episode 65
End it early, I'm ready for a new city!!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I think you should atart a new city. With new cool mods too
I voted to end on part 60 haha.
Hey, you should end the city with something crazy. Like some crazy modding or nature catastrophes. Then its time to move on to a new city
oh my god i've just replayed 12:21 at least 10 times... it never gets old.
I just saw u on my recommended so I decided to check ur vid out! And tbh, it's awesome! The fact that u have spent this much of ur life just to do this and the sims, is just mind blowing! I will definitely look forward to watching more of ur vids! Also, AMAZING CITY! It's huge!
Relaxing?! How is it relaxing when almost everyone's OCD is going crazy by now, especially waiting for you to change crap around for 6 weeks
End it and move on! I've been waiting to see something new for weeks.
Im sick today so this is making me feel a little happier 😂
Please make a season 4! Your the reason i bought this game in the first place! Please flabs!
i would be totaly fine with a new city
I don't mind if you end it. But please try to find a Australian like map!
Tip for Season 4: I set up timed traffic lights that always allow right turns, and I use the lane connector to make sure that someone right turning doesn't interfere with traffic that is going into the same road. For you it would be left turning. It fixes the left turn issue
I love city skylines!
I really like this city, but I get the need for a new one to come along - I can't wait to see what you do with it!
When will be the next (final) episode of Cities with this city?
6:41 which mod are you using when you do that ? move the roads vertically
This mod was really hard to find. But it's called Network Nodes Editor
Another tip: when you have feeder roads off of the highways, make them one way roads with 3 or 4 lanes each going in the same direction as the highway. It splits up traffic and evens it out more on both sides.
can you destroy your city before you start a new 1
Honestly it would be really fun if you started a new one :))
H-KON I'm 6 hours late😂 You were much earlier than me😂
I'm excited for the new city.
I just realised that I was only going to check out one or two videos of Cities: Skyline to decide if I wanted to buy it or not. I decided that I want to play the game but never get around to it because I'm stuck watching YOU play it. THAT WAS MONTHS AGO.
Why didint Nikki Nikki say FIRST?
Because she/he is a nice person.
Philip Press thank you!
LOVE this series, but yes time for a new city. Still amazing the progress you've achieved in this one. Flabaliki the best!
What are your thoughts on the upcoming disaster pack?
Can you make sure to look at the one building in the whole city that you named. I cant remember what it was called ( something tower (maybe)) but it was a reference to a previous lets play
I'd be super keen for city building live streams and then series 4. Do whatever makes you happy James, games are meant to be fun after all :)
The dragging in all directions mod is called Move It.
I voted to end the city at part 60, and I so agree that it's time for a new an better city

When's the first person tour???
I think it's fine to end this city on episode 62, I'm ready for a new city tbh, and the new expansion will be out at some point so ready for that!
my body is readyyyyy for new season :D
you should wait until the natural disasters dlc comes out and then start new city!
In the new city please please download some custom content!!
Making a new city will make your Cities: Skylines videos much more fun to watch!
after watching a bunch of the lets plays for this game, i had to buy it yesterday, looks so fun! and you make it looks so easy... completely not, lol.
Yes finally! for the next series can you use a sims 3 heightmap. like Twinbrook or Bridgeport, or even make your own map using a sims 3 heightmap image which you can download and import into the game. I think that would be pretty cool.
when's the first person tour going to be done?
I think you should stop when you feel like it. Because you're videos will be more fun when you have fun.
12:20 WHEN THE TRACTOR DOES A FLIP XD
Hey there :) When you do the live streams, will you record them and put them on TH-cam later? I ask because I will never make it to your live streams in time ;)
And by the way I think a city layout without perfect grids is way more interesting to look at.
I suggest that you make another one episode with a first person tour... it would be perfect!
I'm ready for a new city! Are you gonna make it with more mods? I hope so. The more detail and realism the better!
Where's the new city?
You should name the next city "New Devon".It's not my name but I like the sound of it.
I rate your city. It's not like it's fresh popcorn pretty but definitely rateable.
NEW CITY!!!!
In the next city, I think the only way to minimize shipping congestion is for the cargo harbors to be spaced far apart. Certainly not sharing the same river.
I think you should start a new city! I voted for it to end at 70 but now I kinda regret it because I don't think there's much you can do now for this city.
I'd love it if the Disasters pack would arrive for season 4!
how do you raise/lower things like that? and what did you use to make that concrete wall next to the highway?
hey guys its scarce here, and today we have some big news, our first comes from flabaliki for being the best cities skylines player :)
Aah the first city brings so much nostalgia
what is the mod that you are using to raise the quary and the street ?
Does this mean you might use a fan map?
Call it a season, dragging it on is honestly just as miserable for me as it is for you. Also whenever you create a new city please use demand master, I don't think we need to see you struggling for money in the beginning because ultimately you're going to make a profit.

Young Raymond Davidets in that case he's ignoring the game entirely too
I think you should put the city onto the steam workshop for people to see and download, and maybe share what they've done with the city and make it a fan involved thing :)

Is there coming any prison architect videos up soon? :)
You should look at Brighton, UK if you're looking for that kind of grid. around the seafront it's very nice
Hey how do you clear all you mods so you can reset your mod list
How did he raise the highway on 8:30?
Are the speed limits on cities skylines in miles per hour or kilometres per hour
ok, i have a couple suggestions for your next city:
1. make a little college town. like the majority of the town is the university buildings (like separate buildings like dorms, classes, etc, just find mods on steam) and then have some commercial/residential surrounding the college.
2. instead of having above ground power lines everywhere mucking up the surface, just keep using underground power lines to keep the terrain clean. and if you do use above ground lines because of some reason, just remind yourself to go back and replace it with underground power lines in the future.

and in case you didn't realize, some inspiration came from fluxtrance's cities. ;)
Just end at 70. The cities fine, and it doesn't have much problems at all. It is working really well.
I want to download this map
RoequavicPlanes Its called "delta range" just search for it in steam workshop
Need a new series of this fresh start please 👍🏻
will you still, do the tour of this city?
+Flabaliki are you going doing another city
Do you have a link for the "concrete brush" mod?
hey man great video would like to see more skyscrapers
Concerning coastal roads, I use to go to this beach all the and everything was in a grid.
Hey this an awesome series i love it!! It even made me to start doing this series myself, i just uploaded the first epidose xD
