Really glad youre feeling better James! i know how awful being sick is... i just got over the flu while having two exams and a paper for my college. As for a tip/feedback, instead of using the alleys as roads, maybe think about using the, between the main roads, just along the backs of buildings. Basically build a normal grid but have the normal main roads an extra tile apart (so instead of 10, have it 11). For example, you could have a normal road-alley-normal road and so on. Also, not sure if you can do this with the current mods you have installed, but maybe disable zoning on the alleyway so they literally just sneak through behind the buildings! I havent tried it yet in my game, but I think it could look really awesome! I love it when you actually sit back and plan out what you do!
to make your bus lines more efficient, make them shorter i.e. going up and down one main road instead of going across the entire city! you can more closely customize the number of buses each section needs, and cims don't seem to mind transfering
It's reaaaally bugging me how there is industrial in the middle of the high density area amongst offices and commercial buildingssss :( glad to see you're feeling better James!
When you're building new areas, you shouldn't border them with a ring road with nothing on the other side. It looks unnatural (for a city) and instead the city's border should be more like thinning tendrils, if you understand what I'm on about.
+James McDonald Where I live a Ring road has nothing on the other side... Then they build houses. So I think he's building just the same as they do in reality.
Where you live is a plot of land that was just built up all at once. The way the area you live is planned isn't a common way of building cities so the point of it being unrealistic still stands.
Actually it's very common and realistic. Roads were often built from A-B and it was always cheaper and convenient to build off an existing road than to build a new road purposely for a community.
I recommend the new Rush Hour mod, traffic that is way more realistic! Less traffic at nighttime, Cims travel to unique buildings (stadiums) for events and so it is a little easier to predict traffic.
For "the ends of small roads with an island in the middle with houses going around it in a circle that I cannot spell but starts with a C," make the end of the road a 6 lane road so it just looks like its wider!
A suggestion: move the train station you added further along the main road, into the empty area closest to the cliff side that is near the highway (i'm trying to be as specific as possible so you know what I'm talking about but, eh)--this way it'll be easier to connect the train line, if you should ever want to. THE END
The one thing common with many of these skylines lets plays is that they still use the overhead power lines. I dont understand why they dont use assets that sort of mimic underground power cable.
Don't you still have your four-way highway intersections? I think it would be great to connect up that new high density area to the highway with one of those :)
A quick fix for the highway interchange would be to just bridge over the highway from the new area, and connect to the existing road on the other side. Which would make them just loop over a bit to use the existing highway interchange. Hope that makes sense. 😎
you should maybe start using the clover leaf interchange for your highway I think it would make it look a lot neater instead of your jumbled highway intersections that alway make me laugh, could not imagine what it be like to drive on one of those in real life, I wouldn't know what lane does what lol.
Maybe try increasing the number of buses and decreasing the distance between the buses....that should help. IMO subways should be more in the downtown educated area and not suburbs.
If you don't want European buildings popping up, set the theme of your whole city to "International." Then when you want European buildings, set that district to European. The reason they're popping up now is because of the European Building Unlocker.
Can you please re download traffic++? It just seems unrealistic how you can't control lanes in your own city, plus it will help out your traffic problems
+Flabaliki can you build more school's so your people can be educated and go to work.Could you build oil refenery's and build a Nuclear Power Plan (NPP) :)
Place the Universtiy by one of the dams so you can call it Dam U
Lol! This just made my day.
Beth Goldstein please 😂🙏🏽

You need to set the theme of the whole city to "international" or else they will keep building both kinds +flabaliki
I really like how compact the new place looks with the small roads!
SOOO good to have you back James, youtube was boring without your videos :)
You should make a fake mountain and have the sewage water flow down like a waterfall...
Newest tourist attraction - "Diarrhea Falls"
yes!
1000 times YES!
HE NEEDS TO DO THIS!!! 😂
+James Revan Yes.
Yes

Called the river between the cargo hub and the two ways splits " The Flamazon "

good idea

I don't know where you're from but that's not that common where I live
It might be time to start building the city center, and then switch off every other episode with the suburbs.
Was I the only one that automatically clapped my hands when he started singing the song? 😂
Build a prison island in the poop lake 😏😇
Poop Lake Prison - Love it.
reminds me of the prison from Avatar where it is built inside a volcano. Great Idea.
brilliant idea it will teach them, think about the smell😣
+Troll Man Derp they will get paid double and do 1 day a week😉
Flabitraz? Alcatraz play on?
24:30 who else clapped there hands? I DID!
Always nice to hear someone mention The Witness. Definitely my favourite puzzle game since Portal 2. :D
yay! cities skylines!
do the university op top of the cliffy mountains
Yay Cities Skylines! Am I the only one who likes hearing his mouse/keyboard when he's playing?
Missed your videos!! Glad you are better James!
Instead of doing the train station where you did you could put a regular one on that one way road around the park.
So happy you're feeling better
That train station looks silly, place it parallel with the main road please!!!
Glad to hear you're getting better!!
Was i the only one getting hyped over the time turning to 2059?😂
How about some bike lanes? You could even use them to connect some towns.
well the James Town six way was made for the intersections at the top of the hill :) its on the steam workshop so take a look
You could always turn those two highway interchanges into one bowl of spaghetti - a 5-way interchange with a loop for the buses.
I recommend the new Rush Hour mod, traffic that is way more realistic! Less traffic at nighttime, Cims travel to unique buildings (stadiums) for events and so it is a little easier to predict traffic.
Industry in a city ? Don't do it
You can do the cloverleaf interchange between the mulberry district and s.flarabia!! The default one with a little customization!
M8, THAT TRAIN STATION entry is going to send me off a cliff.
You should build a highway loop around your downtown high rise city, or if the space is too small, do like a spur of some sorts.
after this city it would be cool to see you do some really extreme terraforming
Had no idea that industrial station could be placed over a road. I've been look for one to do that. Thanks.

There's a little beach near the newest suburb. You could make a high density residential beach area, would be nice!
wtf I didn't know there were bears in Cities Skylines!!
+hydragnb you'll sometimes spot the odd wild animal here and there. An amazing addition if you ask me
problems with trash is because, there is one way roads
I was thinking it could use some riverside parks where you can walk down to the water and canals would be nice as well
Make a metro Flabs, it looks so much better that the across land trains
24:33 - am I the only person who clapped with him?clapped with him?
Oops, lol

14:20 *doesn't break, train goes through side of hospital*
Why does flabi never play with the day and night cycle? It adds so much to the game
+Lord Woffingshire It becomes really annoying when trying to build (which he is doing constantly) as it limits vision a lot
+Lord Woffingshire its really hard for people with bad vision to watch.
flabs if your making a downtown dont use tiny roads
You need to first person in a car or person to look at the city 👍🏼👍🏼
Don't you still have your four-way highway intersections? I think it would be great to connect up that new high density area to the highway with one of those :)

Or put the road straight through.
Maybe add High density residential in that area behind the parks in the new city
Ah, you played The Witness? What did you think?
for the interchange you want to connect you should make a cloverleaf
You can use 8 lane road (Network extensions) at the road that goes to highway if it gets worse.
fine you are back
Perhaps put some piers down at the new high density area
Isn't there an option to use policies for the entire city? For exempel international buildings
Great vid
yey your back
OMG THE LIL BEAR I DIDNT KNOW THIS GAME HAD ANIMALS HES SO SMOL
Name Mulbery District "Flabtastic"
you should maybe start using the clover leaf interchange for your highway I think it would make it look a lot neater instead of your jumbled highway intersections that alway make me laugh, could not imagine what it be like to drive on one of those in real life, I wouldn't know what lane does what lol.
Regarding the four-way intersection issue; couldn't you just use a turbine? They seem to work quite well.
How do you change from elevated to normal construction and so on? :)
the road is like a tiny bit more than 1 cell so it messes the zoning
give the districts names from the comments
Do Ferries between the islands!
Will you be playing Scrap Mechanic?
is there a town called flabington or flabitopia? if not can we name the next one like that?
Maybe try increasing the number of buses and decreasing the distance between the buses....that should help.
IMO subways should be more in the downtown educated area and not suburbs.
How did you see that bear doe? haha xD
Call a district flabiana Grande
+JakeyBabes no
+Firestar Plays yes
no
+JakeyBabes yes
no
Do the university on a mountain and call it "Mount U"
i would like to see high density residential and some more schools. with all the offices we need more intelligent and educated kids
In the beginning you had like full need for industrial and in the end you had no need for it!!
If you don't want European buildings popping up, set the theme of your whole city to "International." Then when you want European buildings, set that district to European. The reason they're popping up now is because of the European Building Unlocker.

The corner for that new train station is waayyy too sharp lol
You missed piping near the hospital and recycling centre.
plz make a channel town
You should name a company Flabble!
if nobody lives there what is the point of old town?
+Berik Residents and businesses can driver there, not just the residents
+Flabaliki Can people shop at the businesses if they don't live there? Or is it dooming the businesses to only be shopped at by each other??
+Troll Man Derp Ooh, OK!
You still have 4-lane avenues with extra turning lane... Or did you just forget them
Do offices reduce industrial demand?
Yes
You should start do metro. You have god damed 33K people in youre city! Imagine flow of money!
Can you change your low density buildings to high density, I am from Hong Kong, those low density was too useless!
Why don't you use cemeteries?
When you play games yourself not recording do
You still commentate out of habit?
James they need to add a undo button for you in this game. lol
why dose the bird at the top of the screen look so stretched?
sometimes
okay thx
did anybody notice those poor guys without water? He misses them soo often^^
there at the end? he does that quite often when he gets to talking. Its ok though i forgive him for it :P
Name the Downtown part Downton Flabby
why don't you use eight lane roads
what Country is he from?
The witness :D
Name an industrial area Flabricate or Flabrication. ;)
Those little two lane roads don't make sense for high density houses and commerical
Trying to catch up to the current episode so I know I'm late...but who else actually clapped their hands at 24:30?
FLABS BACK!!!!!!
Use more piers and canals
+Flabaliki can you build more school's so your people can be educated and go to work.Could you build oil refenery's and build a Nuclear Power Plan (NPP) :)
