I actually can see over the top and its rather nice and open not to be blinkered by the rim of the steering wheel.
I honestly would have bought this car, build quality and all if had a better motor. But as is, its a miss.
Rory on fifth gear 👏
This Mach-E owner agrees; it definitely resembles a Mach-E with less headroom.
It was on my list, because i love the design, but the engine selection is bad. 3-cyl 1.2....then a huuuge price jump and a plug in hybrid. Such a shame.
Middle east gets a 1.6 petrol thats not a hybrid with 215 hp, its a much better engine and fits the category Peugeot places this car in
Can somebody tell Rory to stop being so intense in his presenting style? Total put off. Can’t stand it
I like it and there’s a lot going for it. But that engine is way underwhelming in my opinion. I’ve driven one too and it’s definitely underpowered.
Bring back Tiff
Didn't know platos back, happy days. Someone should hire him to fix the btcc, which has become so boring i use it as a sleep aid.
Are these 1.2 engines with turbo and wet belt timers actually reliable ? Or are customers being fooled into buying these miniscule engines which become money pit after 70k KMS?
Only looks good in certain colours classic peugeot
In Malaysia, we get the 1.6 200hp version!
Sorry but I'm 100% out when I heard about the three cylinder engine.
You are getting distracted, engine size is not an indication of Horse power nor Torque
Torque is actually the most important Figure, because it allows Trucks to pull heavy loads uphill, this 1.2l engine has 170ft compare with Toyota 1.8l 104ft
@@lp5627 I do actually understand it... I'm a mechanical engineer thanks. A highly stressed 3 cylinder engine struggling to pull a large car... Will not have longevity.
Needs to have a 3 litre V6 Turbo with 350 BHP minimum.
In Msia we get the 1.6 engine with 218 bhp and 300nm
I had one for a year , really quick but no very comfortable, as for the steering wheel, just lower it ,,
also, that's not a unique look. It looks like a Hyundai or Kia.
Hate Peugeot would never buy one and what a ridiculous steering wheel design 😤 can’t see the the dash, wouldn’t it be better with a heads up display 🤷🏻
I'd be curious to see you all test the Citroen C5X as; on paper; it would seem to fix the two biggest problems....the stupid steering wheel, and the engine capacity being too small.
Bring back Tiff!
No, thanks.
After all these years they are still producing the same Naff basic reviews that others do so much better ie Carwow etc You cannot mark the car just on one model of engine and then mark it down!!! They do make more powerful engines you know!! and you're supposed to put yourself in a driving position where you can look over it not at it.
Have one nice car love the steering wheel ,drop it slightly no problems, i get in my wifes clio and its like your steering a bus the steering wheel feels too big just my opinion
How old is this video?
Late 2022 / early 2023 going by the car’s registration number. Personally I couldn't live with any current Peugeot with that stupid small steering wheel, that is flat at the top & bottom, rather than completely round!
@@sthillarys52 That is what I was thinking, based on plate. So maybe an old reupload?
Voice control, cant turn on the seats but is ready to take steering wheel complaints 😂
It looks like a Honda civic ran into the back of a 3008… the steering wheel is inexcusable 🙈
Got the wet belt not good. Car good looking but similar to the Citroen C5X and forthcoming new Insignia.
C4 competitor
Like all Peugeot from 2000 on, it will break soon.
Why not test the 1.6 litre engine instead ??
Peugeot and Citroen have to be really nice looking inside and out because mechanically they are so poor. 🤣🤣
So it isn’t the hybrid then !
very good, made me laugh
Well... At least its not an `Eee Vee`
True, it'd be far better if it was
How are you Vicky? I hope you’re ok lady x
Its a great looking car but sadly thats all its got going for it
subscribed to see the old team, not this pc rubbish
Inframotorizado.
Frankly I'm surprised Jason Plato and Vicki are back. I feel the show could of had a new refresh and updated the format to be honest. I was expecting more change
A 1.2 in a car that weighs 1.4 tons? Talk about underpowered
It won't move by its own power. It needs to be push
It's not only underpowered but under displaced, these small overstressed engines are a disaster and they're only economical on paper, in the real world a 2.0 or even 3.0 would get better mileage
@@alexanderstefanov6474 which is why I drive a 1.6 Swift. On paper not much better than this. In the real world? Massively better
What a shame. In my country, this came with 1.6T 218 HP/300Nm. Bought it almost 1 year ago and nothing to complain about.
A bit Harsh Review of a French Car 🚗 literallly all Car manufacturers are down sizing engines ,even Mercedes & BMW , this car competes with the Qashcai and others don't expect to find the 4.0L V8 of that either
A peugeot... You re kiding.... No tiff no party
Mediocre team test. I love you guys and the program, but this was... rubbish.
I find that review absolutely pathetic. You are grossly biaised against that car, simply because it's a French one. If it had a German badge, you would have given it a solid 8, I'm pretty sure of that. And no, I am not French, I am Austrian.
Totally unprofessional and petty reviewers, British standards of journalism, what could go wrong?
Garbage show, once again reviewing cars that only millionaires can afford 😢
Not a great review
where TIFF?
Get rid of the third wheel, keep those two decent drivers and experienced hosts.
Dude's worried about not being able to read instrument cluster while having steering lock on?
You've got two great drivers and you put them both in passenger gear seats?
Wondering why your production isn't getting top gear, um, traction?
They're still using the old fifth gear format for the show. It's nothing to do if he can't read the instrument panel.
They should consider going closer to the top gear format with the show.
Some people moan about everything. It wasn't a race, so you don't need the racing drivers driving.
Tiff
Make estate cars great again. Enough with these imbecilic so-called 'crossover' vehicles and childish 'tech' 🤡
Fifth Gear need to raise up the level. You guys don't seem to be particularly competent. A completely washed up channel.
overall a much compromised car and PSA is one manufacturer desperately clinging onto the EU's killer tariffs on Chinese cars. UK and EU consumers being shafted.
Thankfully we don't get these cars here in Canada,🥶.
Pure tech, pure shite.
