"You'll waste your time for a friggin hour...." Sounds like that comment came from the soul.

Very perceptive! Unfortunately, you are correct sir. I searched forever for that stinking lost screw!

That's it, it's fixed. I had the same problem, just moving the wire connection that worked itself between the coil and the cover plate. You're awsome.

Maybe, Maybe not. I posted the following in the videos description after my fridge totally died a month later... I THOUGHT I had cured my refrigerator issues with the information included in this video. Unfortunately about a month later the fan (seen in this video) just died. Best thing to do (if there is a chance that it is your evaporator fan) is to replace the fan IMMEDIATELY because they are not that expensive (and very easy to replace) and you will not have to needlessly throw away and replace ruined food! Turns out that those fans can "rattle" and sometimes run intermittently before they die (so the fridge is still somewhat cold & your unaware, at that point, that your refrigerator is on the verge of ruining all the food in it by shutting down until it is to late). So while my wires were indeed rattling, that was not the real problem that plagued my refrigerator.

Thanks for posting this. I just had a new fan put in my freezer, but after the repairman left, it kept making a rattling noise and was driving me crazy. I took off the cover over the fan and loosened the screws, but just a tiny bit. It's not perfect now, but much better... at least for now (cue the horror music).

haha, you saved me, thanks buddy! quick and too the point. i oiled the dam thing, and added extra form, but i bet it was the wires. it was driving me crazy. no ice around it. had it out and back in 5 times now

@@patrickpk6299 You should read the description for the video because I'm fairly certain that I updated it to say that a week or two later The fan motor totally died which was the ultimate problem. I replace the fan motor and all the problems went away. If you choose to do that NOW you will most likely avoid possibly spoiling a bunch of stuff in your fridge before you can change out the motor.

You're welcome (but make sure you read the video notes if you have not already done so... it is IMPORTANT).

Thanks for sharing this video... I was able to solve the problem of rattling noise... There was a thick layer of ice right next to motor fan... Keep posting! :)

FYI I am pretty sure that the ice means that your evap fan is about to die. Which means (if you're unaware when it dies( all the food in your ENTIRE refrigerator is going to go bad. FYI, fan replacement is very cheap if you buy the fan off of eBay or similar supplier and issuper simple just look on TH-cam other videos (search for refrigerator evaporator fan replacement) and use my video to access the fan as you did before. As I noted in my original video notes, after making the video I learned that the real problem was my fan dying. And I learned the hard way as I listed above.

Thank you for suggesting it could be something in the way. I didn’t remove the big front plate but smaller one in front if fan. Previously I banged it & it would stop for a few minutes so I dint think motor or fan was broken- maybe loose. I shone flashlight in & I could see the motor was crooked. I was able to finger between fan blades to make sure no wires were in the way & straightened the motor & it stopped!! If it starts again I will take full plate off cause some needs to be tightened.
I did make me clean my freezer out!! 🥶
I forgot to mention I live in a Studio & there is no door to close to separate kitchen. It has been waking me up & in general so annoying I was going to have to unplug the fridge to sleep & just throw up what gets warm

I think u have a typo... Throw up??? Anyways... This ended up being the fan motor. As it dies, it does so intermittently. If U hit it, it cam start for a while again. U would be smart to replace the fan motor because, it goes out (and u discover after everything gets warm). Then U have to pay for all lost food AND a replacement fan. ALSO the same fan cools both the fridge and freezer so (when it dies) you loose EVERYTHING.

I have an intermittent noise coming from the same place....sounds like a worn bearing (fan bearing ?) but this is not all the time....
