I was sure you were just taking the piss... Our work washing machine stopped spinning some time ago, and when I introduced the idea of fixing it by simply closing and opening the door 6 times, they looked at me like I'm a bloody idiot. Standed around me, saw me doing it, and it worked 😂😂😂

Try unplugging it for 30 mins then plug it back it and try and do the reset again .. worth a try

Our Beko washing machine WM84124W, started to play up on the spin cycle, going slow, stopping, then a slow pin. I’ve just watched your video on the open/closing the door for a reset. My goodness, it worked. The machine doesn’t need to be on, just open and close 6 times in 12 seconds. We were prepared to buy a new machine, thank you Graham.

You just saved my holiday!!!!! Did the unclog. Got some water and fluff but not a lot. Found 1 fat, yet short, nail which has been sitting there for a long time as it’s created rust I cannot remove from where it was sitting. Then did the magic 6 door within 12 seconds trick. Put it on the spin/drain cycle. Guess what? A few beeps and test spins later and a full spin is on the go just now. I’m soooo grateful to you for making this video. Life saver. 😊

Thanks as it’s Easter service centre closed until Tuesday when I rang. I’d already checked filter ok. Tried your main master switch and although apprehensive I tried it and it worked. Many thanks mended at no cost to me. My washing machine is a Bush model and it works.

Hi my my dryer had complety lost heat and I tried this last night without unplugging and it worked I meant to test it after to see if it had but forgot till repair guys came to take it into workshop today only to find it fully functional full capacity heat was back your reset had worked so it works on dryers too. mine is a statesman condenser happy days thank you.

I've tried every single thing mentioned and I can't get it to reset. I leaned over to get soap powder but leaned on the control panel with the door open. So it's locked in a cycle I can't get the lock symbol off but it's also not started. I can't unplug it because the plug is behind the washing machine I can't pull it out. I turned all the electrics mains off for 45 minutes thinking that would work. But no it's still got the lock symbol and I've still got a load of washing not being washed. I put Ace on some of the clothes so they'll be ruined.

After I replaced the timer, door latch switch and water level switch on my Frigidaire Gallery and it still did not work through all cycles: I tried this reset and working fine now. Thank you! Guess I have some extra parts in case I need them later. Wish I watched this video first, it would have saved me time and money.

My Simpson 6.5 Eziset washing machine lost its hose at the back so i moved to replace it and then moved back to ensure stable surface but its lights are all flashing and wont program when i put the lid down . It will with the lid open but of course cant use it with an open lid ....so ive been hand washing for 6 months and i have arthritis in my hands and lower back so its been a nightmare. Tried the open close door but didnt work....theres nothing broken loose or otherwise .. simply went off balance coz of shifti g it ....SOS please !!!
Top load machine.. I'm not 100% but you can try disconnect the power. Press and hold power button switch for 10 secs ...then wait 15 minutes ... do the door 6 times within 12 secs .. and give it a try
Although I managed to get machine to do a quick wash cycle 15 minutes I still cannot get the spin cycle which is separate cycle that runs for 17 minutes. Just does startup but then nothing. Do you think it could be the door mechanism and something to do with a wax part? Or should I buy a whole new door mechanism which I understand controls the spin cycle? Any advice would be useful please 🙏🏻
Ok I'm no washing machine engineer I purely share things that have worked for me .. you can try unplugging your machine from the power .press and hold the power button for 30 seconds ..then leave the machine for at least 15 mins mybe 30 minutes then plug in back in do the door opening and closing 6 times within 12 seconds then do a full load on your normal setting and see if it works 🤞🤞🤞 nothing to lose by trying 🤠🤠
This happened to me I have this same one I did a small load a couple of tea towels a top and got to the end and it just stopped without spinning I read the manual and it didn't say anything about it. I won't use it now unless I have a full load.
