Just goes to show how relevant the Karizma is even today. Brilliant ride quality and handling, smooth stress free engine that can cruise at 110 all day long. RIP 😟😢.
True that.
You can still get a Karizma, and it can be easily serviced. But seriously I even miss that machine.
P220 and p200 series can easily do that too.
We Indians are obsessed with engine capacity no matter what, if the pricing is similar we will opt for a larger capacity engine.
I am having issues with engine vibration creeping in on Karizma after 80kms per hour and also front bouncing slowly. Any solution?
despite Ronin being better as described than Hunter, had seen reviews inclined towards RE.
Here comes the genuine no nonsense review..! ✨

Dad's Unicorn 150 was due for a replacement and he wanted to upgrade to something bigger. Rode the classic, hunter and Ronin back to back. The light clutch and the on road price of 2.05 lakhs for the Ronin is what sold it for him.
Makes sense. Congrats on your purchase
Hi bhai..how is your overall experience with Ronin bike till now..can u please give latest update about your ronin experience...In 2024 is it still a good value for money bike...becoz i am planning to buy a bike but too much confuse by seeing many videos...which one i should buy..between ronin and hunter as my priority is low/ mid maintenance bike, mileage, riding comfort, with latest features...please suggest..also is the engine of this bike reliable or if any major problem have you faced..please reply bhai
@@GhostRider-go7ll hey, sorry for the late reply. Maintenance wise it should cost you slightly less than the RE. No reliability issues so far except the backlight on the instrument cluster which stopped working(replaced under warranty). Average Fuel economy is around 40kmpl which is surprisingly good for a bike of this class. I've seen some people even get 55kmpl out of it by riding frugally. It's a lot more comfortable than the hunter but not as plush as the Classic. I'd recommend going for a thorough test ride before buying one and also finding out whether your nearest service centre has good reviews. Even if you like the bike TVS is known for its bad service experience so be wary of that.

When I heard Ronin was coming, I was expecting TVS to do justice to do the concept Zeppelin. Not that it doesn't look bad, But the Zeppelin concept was way awesome. Hopefully that too comes into production.
But this is what I would prefer than the Hunter if I need to buy one. As always Sagar makes us petrol heads feel clearer with his opinions. Way to go buddy.

The only things that sting my eyes are the fuel tank and rear fender design. They make the bike look bulky but not in a good way. Hunter is smoother to look at than Ronin.
@@yt_reborngameplays i agree
I knew that Sarge would choose Ronin over hunter. Two of my friends own this. We went for a ride to 17000 feet and it performed really nice. It can handle bad/rough roads really well. Fuel efficiency is also nice for a 200 cc engine ca. 45 kmpl. However, sales number of Ronin is not great compared to hunter, at least in the hills despite its superior quality.
Hope tvs address that soon
I own Ronin... I have no issues with the product in fact i just love it... But the dealership and buying process i had very bitter experience.. in short tvs dealers and executives care less
@@narayannaik9041 then you should be to an RE dealership. They have this weird arrogance, because of the popularity of the brand maybe.
I bought the hunter over Ronin, only weight is my hassle, other than that.. the bike's pure bliss, Ronin has very short gearing, bad brakes and awkward foot peg position.
Err..... I get 45 and at times over that on highways on my CB350 RS, and I'm not a sedate rider, far from it.

Finally Sagar addressing the question that's been troubling me for so long! I took the test ride of the Hunter and Ronin both, but I felt the Hunter had wonderful torque and fell in love with the motorcycle... Is there any way to make the suspension slightly soft?
Unfortunately no. The only way around it is different springs
You can change the spring set with the one classic 350 comes

Tbh back then in 2010 when RTR 180 was launched,TVS has thrown all its technology to it making the best true racing DNA machine even today after owning it till date i feel it's useless how manufacturers have over priced even their 150 cc bikes which is not as valuable as it was there in 2010 but still TVS makes best over square engines till date.Ronin was a example of fiero with similar square engine configuration.

If the cruising speed is anywhere around 80-85 the bike is just fine considering the roads in India.
That most bikes will do anyway
@@SagarSheldekarOfficial That's correct. RE bikes with 350cc engine is not very comfortable above 100. Above all, 100 is also not a safe speed to cruise in India considering the roads. One sudden speed breaker or a pothole @60 and you are at risk.
Forget about roads in the cities some of the highways also have poor construction that puts a bikers life at risk.
I can live with about minus 8nm of torque but can not live without upright stance, forward footpegs, more ground clearance, slippers clutch, better suspension and many more
Very well put!
Finally someone who spoke sense in a video. Apart from the looks and low cruising speeds I think ronin is better. But when you bring fz25 to the equation, it will trump both in terms of looks, cruising ability, engine refinement and more.

wheelbase of 1400mm
with 18 inch alloy wheels front and rear

Hey Sagar..thanks for this Ronnin review ...been riding motorcycle for almost few months now I agree 💯 on the top end is not that quicker indeed and feels like it lacks six speed transmissions specially when cruising at highway...but overall the ride quality and engine refinement is top notch..if someone looking to upgrade from 150cc to 225 CC I think this is the better choice in terms of daily commute it's so easy and light to glide through traffic...however it doesn't like the high speed beyond 95kmph and that's where the vibes start to creep in ..this is something where TVS needs to work on with
I agree
I agree i own a ronin since November and while cruising i would prefer having a 6th gear.. you can actually feel and hear the strain on the engine.
I still can't look over how the Ronin looks. Between them, the Hunter is the emotional choice
Fair enough
As usual superb review. I saw this review because it was been made by sagar 👌. There is no stop for hunter. TVS may struggle very bad to get the numbers.

Nice review..
Though Ronin features attract, I fell in love the moment I saw Hunter and bought one the Rebel blue.. Though rear suspension is stiff, it still pumps me to ride anyday.
BTW, we can still tune the suspension using the toolkit. I am yet to try that

Nice review. This verdict from your channel is something people look for , but the Hunter on its own is not a bad motorcycle as long as you can be a bit careful, It feels really stable on wider roads and really masks its weight once on the go. However, I really could not connect with the TVS. Hence ended up buying the Highness.

Being a Hunter owner, I totally agree with what Sagar has to say about Hunter Ride Quality...It is so so bad due to very stiff suspension..Not just the rear but even the front suspension is so hard where all the impact come to rider arms.. especially in bangalore roads it is so bumpy. Where my 15 year old Suzuki access have better ride quality than hunter in that same roads... One way to over come this issue is changing the rear shocks...few handful of Hunter owners switched to Old Classic 350 suspension which is Nitrox and they say that now the ride quality is much better... i myself going to try Karizma or Pulsar 220F suspension to see if it going to make any difference
With better shocks it will be a much better motorcycle
Hey, I am planning to buy hunter 350 dapper grey next week, I stay in banglore as well, I have a budget of about 2, but can extend to 2.5. what do you think, should I consider other bike as well, if yes then which ones!
@@gauravmalhotra6628 You can even try Other RE lineups or even Honda if you are keen on retro variants...But for Hunter its very bumpy on patched up roads..I just changed to Karizma Suspension yesterday on Trail and Error basis..Lets see how it goes
@@VishwaSunder Thanks, I don't think other re offer much control as this will. Question should I go with Ronin instead? Its just I dont like the colour scheme of it, And to go with RS, I have to wait another 1 month, I wanted to go with pulsar Dominar 400, but its out of budget

I watched your video for both Hunter and Ronin (and also RTR 200 4v which was third candidate). Got confused more when I rode them but finally went ahead for Ronin. My reason is bit different - Hunter 350 has quickly became college goer's bike and it will have perception problem just like KTMs. When you look around to see thumping bike and see Hunter, you get kinda disappointed as its looks smaller - its like RE made for ladies. That's my reason for choosing Ronin over Hunter, of course in addition to Ronin's practicality especially Mileage

Sir,
I feel Ronin is good for breakfast rides, city commutes, off roads. Though this can also be taken for long distance riding but cc is challenge.
However, Hunter Is good for city commutes and long touring purpose.
Explanation is quite clear in the video.....buyer should be defining the purpose before choosing between the two.
Both are best and has its own pros and cons.
Its just the purpose that will define the buying decision.

Hi I know Im mad. But having driven TB500 can I buy ronin as TB500 replacement? Im somehow convinced that this is an allrounder.
What changes have TVS made to the initial lot of bikes (Ronin) to reduce vibrations, ? Gixxer 250 at 15 k more (ex-show room) makes more sense these two bikes Ronin / Hunter
Not sure what changes were made. Could very well have been the bike allocated to me at the first ride had issues. If you can extend the budget, the Gixxer 250 makes a strong case
Difference is Hunter is the base for RE but Ronin is Top model for TVS and so the quality of Ronin

I am confused between the two Ronin and cb350 highness can u help me her for the better choice?? 😶
Yet to ride the highness
How come none of these ride experts cannot figure out why RE has kept the rear suspension so stiff. The easy answer is ground clearance or lack of it in Hunter 350. It has absymally low GC of 150 mm. To get the perspective, even a TVS Jupiter scooty has more ground clearance @ 160 mm. Honda Activa 6G has ground clearance of 170 mm. Ronin 225 has GC of 180 mm. So to avoid the underbelly of Hunter 350 scraping against the common uneven road potholes or abundant speedbumps scattered all around Indian roads, the "Genius" RE engineers found the solution. Keep the rear suspension very very stiff so that the underbelly does not lower onto the grounds and hits on bumps😂😂😂😂
Hi Sagar
Coming back after 2k km owner experience of this motorcycle.
But before can you please help me find reason as I am experiencing fuel tank is heating up when I rode at slow speed in traffic . This is so unexpected. TVS has no clue when I contacted them. Plus heating issues are so dominant in traffic.
Overall it's not so comfortable at higher speed...what a disappointment knowing to fact that you can't cruise comfortably beyond 80 kmph in 225cc motorcycle
Hey Sarge! You ever considering making videos on legends like Karizma R, RX100, RD 350 etc?
New bikes are hard enough to source from manufacturers, this almost seems impossible 😅
Understandable. 🙁
Is this bike comfortable at crusing speed of 85-90kmph?
What about the vibrations and engine sound.. Are these things distrubing at that speed?
Can comfortable cruise at 95kmph with minimum vibes
