Try a laminated machine, outline and add tab where you want it to sit, cut out, put a dab of clear glue on corner to keep 2 sheets from slipping.

It was really interesting seeing your sections, and your clever way of making clear dividers and label stickers! I'm so sorry to hear there is or was some serious health issue. Questions: 1. Why do you prefer writing this all out on a Happy Planner instead of onto blank pages? 2. Do you ever make clear dividers out of Dollar Tree cutting mats? Just curious!
1) I like that I can keep it all together in one place using the disc system. Since I'm in my planner daily, it is just makes since to extend it in this way to house all the "loose ends" and maintain them in one reference "file".

I have also made side tabbed dividers and top tabbed bookmarks/dividers out of decorative file folders. But having the clear ones makes a lot of sense on a double spread. I enjoy your videos, thank you.

Great video, very informative as always. You make the best planner videos on TH-cam. You keep it simple and smooth, you just do a great job making planning part of real life. No fluff, just a little fun and function, and get it done. I like to decorate, but my planner must help keep me organized and efficient for business and personal. I have only been a subbie for about a month, and I have gone back and watch every video you have made. How? careful planning thanks to you. I apologize for being long winded, but you have taught me and many others I'm sure how to use "The Happy Planner" for real. I think I could preach right here (LoL) Anyway thank you so much for all you have shared for the year of 2020. I agree about keeping the planner functional above all else. The decor just helps draw you in and keep you interested in all the work you have to do. LOL!

So glad I found your channel. 2021 will be my first time using a HP and I'm excited. I love the way you have your planner laid out. Planning can be expensive and for now I'm using what I have but I do have a wish list started :)
That is how I started. You will figure out what works and what doesn't over time so it is good to start small.

I enjoy your setup, what size labels?
The phomemo printer paper is 2” wide by the length of the roll. Each label was approx. 5/8” x 1.5” with both the front and back text on each.

Hi, yes the nail polish remover removes the paint from the newer dividers as well. It is blue paint not blue plastic. I have them and removed the paint just like the others. TFS Be Blessed

This video was SO helpful! I've been using my frankenplanner catch all with 4 planners and wasn't quite liking the typical setup most videos and people seemed to use. I was trying to find something new and different and this is fantastic and works well with how my brain works! Thank you!

Really silly question. I just want to clarify that "dashboards" are basically top tab dividers and dividers are tanned at the side?? Thanks ❤
That is correct, but note that dashboards can be any page-sized insert, without or without tabs, used to separate out sections. Hope that helps!

Do the happy planner dashboards for the left hand tabs only come in skinny bookmark width? If that makes sense...

What's the difference between using dashboards vs dividers? :)
Dashboards is a term used by happy planner to describe the top tabbed plastic inserts. I guess it helps distinguish them from divider sets but they basically the same thing. 😉

I’m a newbie and I feel a binge watch coming on. I bought a horizontal and vertical ( receipts still attached ) because I am confused about which to use ( hoping binge watch will help ). I like having everything in one place. I’m not real thrilled with either cover I bought but going to keep looking.
Look for happy notes too, especially ones on clearance. You might find a cover that you love on the cheap! 😁👍🏼

So, I used to carry this planner to and from work daily, but now that I work from home, it stays at home on my desk. When I did cart it around, I used a snap-on hard cover to keep it protected and tidy. Also looked a bit more professional.

Yes, though they tend to be topped tabbed or without tabs, and usually plastic. Many people use them as “sticky note” holders like a pin board, which is where I think name came from....but just guessing.
@@squairdplans thank you for the explanation. Another question, I have noticed the dashboard have side tab - are those just added on separately. Where does one get the label to put on the tab. I want to create a custom p,a new that contain medical information and address book in one planner and than another planner that will include budget, debt tracking,spending tracker, password sheet for online website, credit card sheet, investment sheet which is the emergency planner if I become sick.
