I bought this boot back in... April I believe.. so the footage is old.. If you were to order this from White's now,, you'd likely receive it sooner than i mentioned in the video.. 1-4 months likely
@EDHBlvd yeah i know its supposed to be pretty similar.. fun fact.. 11067 , i believe that's the date Frank n his wife got married .. something like that 1/10/67.. i think Nick's uses it too still, right? i still prefer the look of the 55 last but i like the way the arch is on this 4811 more.. it's just a tiny bit more noticeable
@@toneohm Nicks has the 11067. Franks calls their Last the “1977”. I think Bakers used to list it as the “11077”. I am skeptical Frank married his wife in 1967. They aren’t that old.
Good video, I own 11 pairs of whites and have been interested in a custom farmer rancher with a cap toe and a different leather selection than the 3 work leather they offer for a while now. Very few videos on this type of boot. the 4811 last is quite nice on the foot it seems.
Thanks for posting this video, man. I've been on the fence for red dog and the farmer rancher for a while and this helped alot! I'm looking forward to trying the 4811 last, I have two boots in the 55 last (which this last works for my foot) and welcome a roomier toe box
glad to help! yea I've only see a couple Rancher videos and they weren't all that detailed,, glad this has been useful.. i thought looking at the bottom of the outsole especially helped show just how much more ball and toe width you get.. I really like the 55 last as well.. but I do appreciate the tighter heel and slightly higher arch on the 4811
Great video, this helped push me to purchase a pair on their closeout sale just now, 10 inch, so pretty much the drifter, I think the drifter has a higher heel stack too. Cheers!
I think the heel height should be about the same.. for the Drifter.. ,, unless you bought a Packer boot.. which is a higher heel.. dogger heel.. (as is the Drifter heel) but that's a different last as well.. 690..is the Packer I have a old old Packer from Nick's.. I love the arch on them.. most arch you can get. The heel is just a bit much,, I'm glad to hear you went for it!
@@toneohm On Rose anvils video he says he’s added 2 leather stacks to the heel to make it more like the packer but kept the 4811 last. I nearly got the packer but was worried about the toe area being too narrow and the heel could be too much for here in the UK, there would be a few odd looks at them. I love the 4811 last. I suspect that the Baker’s “Bounty Hunter” last may be the 4811. I, too, ordered a pair of custom Bounty Hunters from Baker’s and the boots came in a Rancher Box, but made in Burgundy leather. The Baker’s 8” Bounty Hunter is basically a Rancher, IMHO. The Latigo leather also came in a Rancher box.
na .. the Bounty Hunter is the 55 last / Semi Dress last.. but they do come in the Rancher box.. BUT,, there is a separate option all together for a custom Smokejumper one
this last felt more narrow to me than the 55. would love to hear your review of willies boots in the phillipines, probably the best (most US style) boots from SE Asia
I've contacted Willie's on Instagram... but they never got back to me.. i'd love a waxy Badalassi Monkey boot from them.. there's a few Indo brands i'd like to try.. from Jack Rabbits, Junkard, etc.. as for the last..., i find that very unusually.. the 4811 is always supposed to have a wider toe box than the 55.. now that some time has passed., this 8.5D size has conformed to my foot much better.. with the soft toe collapsing.., and the flexing has given it more of a raised bump toe shape at the sole.. the arch settling.., they've become even more comfortable for me now

I've seen his video many times.. so i do know what you're getting at.. but the actual square toe White's boots, like the Harness boot, is an entirely different last all together.. whereas this is still technically the 4811, like the Drifter.. usually the last determines things like that.. heel height, arch, toe spring.. toe shape, and overall footbed shape.. it might just be carved a little differently at the tip of the toe but like the spring n toe box height, that would all be the same.. 4811 across the board.. being handmade,, you'll notice shape differences like that boot to boot.. just looking at your left vs right foot.. they usually have some degree of variation

I really like the look of the 4811 Last. It seems similar to the 11067, but without as much sprung toe. Better shape than the 55. Nice boots!
