I love the commentary on the traffic in the neighbourhood; "is he making a you turn now?" It's like these guys don't realize that some serious RC testing is going on. : )
Glad to see your XLX2 worked!! I put a brand new one in mine 3 weeks ago and it smoked right out of the box. It came with the newest firmware 2.12 already installed. When it went it took my receiver and lipos with it!!! Nothing better than loosing a pair of Powerhobby 9000mah 120c graphine packs in the blink of an eye 👁! Castle has been less than helpful in helping me resolve this issue. Last time I buy there products!!!! Anyway yours looks like an animal. So glad it worked out 💪 👍💯💯💯💯
theres some serious power hiding away there! your street is so chilled. looks a great place to live. like you said earl, a fan on motor and maybe 2 servos to get that monster turning strong and fast. i really like how videos end to, you think thats it then some brilliant shots of the vehicles pop up at the end.
Not everybody thinks rc is the coolest thing in the world like we do! I don't know why, because it is the coolest thing in the world ! I can't imagine everyone on that street didn't hear that!
Awesome man u sure do have alot of power there buddy. If it was me I would just leave the power were it is and just fix the steering so it would be alot better. But its urs not mine I cant say do this do that, that's up to u brother 💯👍
Earl could you explain what make Reefs so expensive. Anyone I’m all ears don’t get me wrong you pay for what you get. But what does theirs servos do to justify the pricepoint .
The motor combo and center diff changes really livened it up. Interested to see how well it will hook up off road. That steering is concerning, maybe re-adjust the servo saver over a couple of teeth toward the left side and see what happens.
When new I spent weeks trying to adjust the steering issue finding that one direction has full range and the other bottom out on the steering link a really bad design as Losi said to set end points to match and loose steering on the better direction 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
@@earlmoorhead5555 I'm surprised horizon hobby didn't blame you for the bad steering. The spectrum esc, motor, batteries and wires were getting very hot and a few other issues, I contacted horizon and they basically blamed me saying I ran it more than 10 mins without letting it cool down or I was using different batteries other than the spektrum batteries. At the time everything was bone stock.
Smashing Earl I’d address the centre diff and hope the screws just backed out as the show where you did the centre diff you defo made it hard for the screws to come out the way you torqued on the driver😉 the steering maybe if one servo ain’t so great 2may also not be so great until the actual cause of lack of steering can be found 🧐 I hope this makes sense could be twice as caca as 1 servo😬 but all else is great the way he is Maybe a full fan Just because or drop the pinion a tad and that’s just because when your out on the run you’ll have more space to hold onto the trigger for a little longer but if he’s only for out the front of house 🏠 Then he is 💯Perfect🎯 Earl Thanks for sharing🤩🤩 The thickness in the centre diff definitely allows you to put it down a lot more I think once the steering is fi🥳xed this will be very addictive indeed Earl
Great run out there. I would say that you have plenty of power under that "hood", but for sure you need more steering power.💪 Looking forward to see what upgrades you will come up with. 😉👍
I bet the motor is hot but that was impressive, I didn't think I'd see a heavy dbxl-e popping wheelies like that,Very cool.Maybe put a couple of fans on it and call it good.
That things a beast 👊 Is the steering issue down to torque steer maybe ? Or just literally under powered. Odd as goes one way easier than the other. Hence iam thinking torque could be the issue. Either way a twin servo set-up should help force it round lol. Lovely place there mate, very quiet compared to round here, cars parked everywhere in the street and busy most of the time lol. Great setup that earl 👌
Do you have any idea how the Leopard 1050 compares to to Castle 1100? I was going to try the max5/Leopard 1050 combo, (I got the V1) but since the Castle 1100 came out I'm unsure which direction to go in. Fwiw, I don't plan on going higher than 8s
Mr Earl I just purchased a new castle 20 series motor for my kraton, if I bought the 6.5mm bullet connectors will it work with my stock spektrum 8s esc , I ordered a mamba xlx2 but after talking with castle they told me I needed QS8 connectors which is gonna be a pain because all my batteries are EC5
I do not own a DBXL-E but I do really enjoy reefs servos (I have four of them) and they just came out with 2 fifth scale servo that exo-caged RC installed in his DBXL-E And it looks to be a complete beast. Just an idea for something for you to look into. I know reefs servos are a little pricey but I haven't had any issues with any of mine. I'm sure the fifth scale servo is expensive but if it's anything like their other servos I'm sure it's worth it.
Air control of the rc need less brakes to cause the rc to nose dive throttle brings the nose up if to much brakes you won’t have good control 👍👍can’t compare a 1/5th to a 1/7 th scale rc different sizes act way different 💯💯
Earl you always tell us about being safe and responsible with rc. But bro you get way to close to moving vehicles. I noticed it a while back! Just saying, it probably freaks some people out! And you never know when you might hit a Mustang! Lol
Where I live is a private community not open to the public when I’m out on public roads you need to be careful and on a private road the slow speed really won’t hurt and 10 years I’ve never had any damage to anything but ppl think my house is a public road 👍👍
im always out on my street, public road, its a 30 but way the cars go past you would think its a 60. at least they seem to be sensible drivers, only reason looks like get so close sometimes is because how slow they are going
Earl what does your neighbors say when your testing?my neighbors told me they know ever time I run my infraction because they hear it ripping up and down the street. Well I guess they get a break just sent my motor and esc to castle so I guess I need to fine something new to build
The thing runs like an animal. I say it's good as is, but it ain't my rig! :) However, you love tail-gating cars when ya rip in the street, admit it! :)
I keep burning the motor lead bullets off mine at the ESC (DBXLE 1100Kv motor). I turned the braking down to 50% and they last a little bit longer but still a problem. HELP!
I love the commentary on the traffic in the neighbourhood; "is he making a you turn now?" It's like these guys don't realize that some serious RC testing is going on. : )
Right 😂😂😂
Great video, I like that color scheme. That’s a big RC to bring to a stop 😳👊👊💯💯
I just got one. It's nice, well built. Needs more speed. Xmaxx or udr seen quick fast.
That's a beast you can never have to much power

Not factory at all. Clean set up. 👌
Great video 📹 👍 👏
Has alot of power 🔋 💪
Nice and strong 💪… hopefully temps not too bad off-road… awesome rig 👍👍👍
I like those Reefs servos Exocaged K8 Turns just as good as DBXL-E from what I seen. I’m not paying $400 for a servo but no lie it stands out.

For cars, I only have the NPRC drag build so far. Need something to go bashing in for sure.
Kaiju by red cat is affordable and a blast and it’s 6s capable
@@earlmoorhead5555 thanks! I’ll check that out. I picked up some red cat shocks at your recommendation before.

Maybe a full fan Just because or drop the pinion a tad and that’s just because when your out on the run you’ll have more space to hold onto the trigger for a little longer but if he’s only for out the front of house 🏠
Then he is 💯Perfect🎯 Earl

Yes I’m only at 230 amps out of the 500 available I can gear up for sure 👍👍💯💯
Wzup Mr.Moorehead!
When are we going to see Chloe in control of this beast? I gained more respect in her since she started bicycling the X-Maxx!

Throw a fan on the motor and dog it.looks to me like it has plenty of power and then some gotta love castle.
How about a reefs 2000 Earl?
It’s really expensive for one servo but would work great I feel

Are you running stock pinion? 13t?
Check your steering end pints?
Yes

Nice build! If you wiggle those QS8’s while pulling it won’t pop off so violently.
I know with the castle xlx2/1100kv combo, you'd better have good batteries or you won't get the performance it's capable of.
