how is it possible that a 19 minute video has taught be everything i've been confused about for an entire quarter. You just saved me, my EOC is tmrw. so appreciated
Hat's Off to you. Excellent presentation and student engagement. Nice to see someone who will put themselves "out-there" for kids no matter what. Math is limitless in the different concepts and ideas that can be (hopefully using as many real-world examples) expressed. I think you've done well to make this material "stick"--Bravo!
You're my savior ! I'm taking the SAT Math 2 in 2 weeks but I'm not from the US so the math we do here differs from what you do. God bless you haha! Keep posting! I bet you're helping lots of people!
I do not understand how can you calculate angle from arc lengths where the units for angle and length are not the same i.e. one in degrees and the other is in cm or inches. The units are dimensionally inconsistent. Can you prove how you can get the three formulae?
I have to take an online math course instead of a regular class at my high school because they messed up my schedule and I didn't understand what they were teaching me at all! You helped me learn everything! Thank you so much!!!
what if the lines were crossing at the edge of the circle like where the line for the circle is drawn and they cross there. would it be addition or subtraction? is that even possible?
When the variable (x) isn't on its own, to find what x is you need to separate it from the equation using what you learn when doing linear equations. So in this case it was 10 = (100-x)/2. He first multiplied both sides by 2 to get rid of the 2 in the denominator on one side of the equal sign, but remember what you do to one side you have to do to the other. And so 10 turns into 20 because 10x2=20. So now we have 20 = 100 - x. If you then subtract a hundred, to single out the x on one side of the equal sign, you have -80 = - x. To get rid of the negative signs all you have to do it divide both by -1 which means x = 80. And you're allowed to do this, as long as you always remember to do the same on both sides of the equation. PS. I know I'm 5 years late but I'll reply anyway in case anyone else reads the comment and thinks the same.
